Why should Christians not fear death?

Answered in 6 sources

Christians should not fear death because Jesus has conquered death and offers eternal life to those who believe in Him.

The fear of death is alleviated for believers through the assurance of eternal life in Christ. Hebrews 2:14-15 reveals that Christ took on flesh and blood to destroy the devil’s power over death and to free those who were enslaved by the fear of death. When we place our faith in Jesus, we are promised resurrection and life everlasting, as articulated in John 11:25-26, where Jesus states that He is the resurrection and the life. Therefore, Christians can face death without fear, knowing that their eternal destiny is secure through the work of Christ.
