Why should Christians not fear men?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should not fear men because God is the sovereign Creator who holds ultimate authority over all things.

Isaiah 51:12-13 challenges the believer's tendency to fear mortal men. The prophet poses the question: 'Who art thou that thou shouldest be afraid of a man that shall die?' This highlights the frailty and temporality of human life compared to the eternal nature of God. Recognizing God's power as the Creator who has 'stretched forth the heavens' recalibrates the believer's perspective, encouraging them to place their trust in His sovereign control rather than being swayed by fear of human circumstances. By doing so, Christians find security in their identity as God’s people, who ultimately rest under His protection and care.
