Why should Christians pray persistently?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should pray persistently to demonstrate their reliance on God and to seek His will in every situation.

Persistence in prayer is encouraged throughout Scripture as it reflects our dependence on God and our continual need for His guidance and intervention. Jesus taught His followers to always pray and not to lose heart (Luke 18:1), illustrating that perseverance in prayer is key to a vibrant faith. When we persist in prayer, we acknowledge that we cannot solve life’s issues on our own and are seeking God's will above our own. As we grow in our understanding of our weaknesses, our urge to pray more increases. This continuous dialogue fosters a deeper relationship with God and aligns our lives with His purposes and promises.
