Why should Christians remember their Savior instead of their sins?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should remember their Savior because He guarantees our acceptance before God and covers our sinfulness (Philippians 3:13-14).

Philippians 3:13-14 urges believers to focus on the hope that lies ahead rather than dwelling on past failures. Remembering our Savior is crucial because He has accomplished the work of salvation and provided us with righteousness. When we fixate on our sins, we diminish the power of the cross and the completeness of Christ's sacrifice. As believers, we are reminded to forget our past in order to press on toward the high calling in Christ Jesus, allowing His grace to redefine our identities as beloved children of God, freed from the shackles of sin and guilt.
