Why should Christians remember to bless God for His blessings?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should remember to bless God as an act of gratitude for His abundant blessings in our lives.

In Deuteronomy 8:10, the people are instructed to bless the Lord for the good land He has given them. Recognizing and praising God for His blessings not only reflects a heart of gratitude but also safeguards us from pride and forgetfulness. When we celebrate God's goodness, we reinforce our understanding that all we have comes from Him. This counteracts the tendency to depend on our own strength and achievements. It's a reminder to continuously seek His kingdom first and delight in the gifts He has provided.
