Why should Christians resist giving in to fear?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should resist fear because faith in God's sovereignty empowers them to overcome challenges.

Fear is a natural response to uncertainties and threats, yet the Bible encourages believers to combat fear with faith. Psalm 11 illustrates this notion by affirming that trusting in the Lord offers confidence even amid peril. Those who trust in God do not succumb to the fear surrounding them; instead, they rise above it, anchored by the understanding that God reigns supreme. Scriptures such as Isaiah 41:10 remind us, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Thus, resisting fear allows Christians to reflect the true nature of their trust in God and His promises.
