Why should Christians show compassion to others?

Answered in 1 source

Christians should show compassion because we have received compassion from God, as highlighted in Titus 3:4-5.

Displaying compassion follows directly from our own experience of God’s grace. In Titus 3:4-5, Paul explains that God, through His kindness and love, saves us not because of our righteous deeds but due to His mercy. As recipients of such grace, it is our duty to reflect that same compassion towards others. Recognizing our shared human condition before God serves as a reminder that we all are in need of mercy, inspiring empathy and understanding towards those around us.
