Why should I love the church?

Answered in 1 source

Loving the church is a reflection of loving God's people and participating in God's mission on earth.

The church represents the body of Christ, wherein each member has a role and purpose. Loving the church is fundamental because it reflects our love for God, as seen in John 13:34-35, where Jesus teaches that our love for one another identifies us as His disciples. It is through the church that believers are nurtured, edified, and equipped to carry the gospel message into the world (Ephesians 4:11-12). Moreover, it fosters a community that embodies unity, charity, and support, seen in Acts 2:44-47 where the early believers shared everything. Love for the church nurtures our faith and fortifies our witness, encouraging us to grow together in Christ-like character while fulfilling the Great Commission.
