Why should we follow good examples in the church?

Answered in 1 source

Following good examples in the church fosters unity and encourages believers to live in accordance with God's will.

In 3 John 11, John exhorts believers to follow that which is good and warns against following evil. Good examples in the church, such as those demonstrated by Gaius and Demetrius, provide a model of faithfulness, integrity, and service to others. When believers collectively support and emulate those who exhibit Christlike qualities, it leads to a more vibrant and healthy church community. Ephesians 4:1-3 encourages us to walk in a manner worthy of our calling with all humility and gentleness, bearing with one another in love. Thus, following good examples helps maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
