Why should we have hope in Christ?

Our hope in Christ is central to the Christian faith, as affirmed in John 3:16, which declares that God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. This hope is rooted in the finished work of Christ on the cross, where He paid the penalty for our sins. Believing in Him secures our justification and reconciles us to God, transforming our lives.
