Why should we not fear according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible encourages us not to fear because God is our protector and savior, always present with us.

Fear is a common human experience, but the Scriptures offer many reassurances against it. In Isaiah 43:1-2, God speaks directly to His people, stating, 'Fear not, for I have redeemed thee.' This redemption gives us confidence, knowing that our lives are secure in His hands. Zephaniah reinforces this truth by stating, 'Thou shalt not see evil anymore,' emphasizing that God's good purposes will prevail in our lives. As believers, we are assured that our God is present and mighty to save (Zephaniah 3:17). Understanding God's sovereignty and His active role in our lives helps dispel fear, encouraging us to place our trust and hope fully in Him.
