Why should we pray if God knows our needs?

Answered in 1 source

We pray not only to present our needs but to worship God and acknowledge His sovereignty.

Many might wonder why we should pray if God already knows what we need. However, prayer is more than a petition; it is an act of worship and a way to express our dependence on God. Jesus teaches that our Father knows our needs before we ask (Matthew 6:8), but He commands us to pray to help us recognize our reliance on Him. Through prayer, we align our hearts with God's will and acknowledge His authority over our lives. It is a means of worship and facilitates a deeper relationship with our Creator.
