Why should we rejoice even in difficult times?

Answered in 1 source

We rejoice in difficult times because we trust in God's sovereign plan, which works all things for our good (Romans 8:28).

Rejoicing in difficult times is a reflection of a believer's faith in God's sovereignty and goodness. As Paul discussed in Philippians, he found reason to rejoice even while imprisoned because he saw how God was using his situation for the furtherance of the gospel and to encourage others in their faith (Philippians 1:12-14). Romans 8:28 assures us that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. This understanding leads believers to maintain a posture of joy amidst trials, knowing that God is actively present, guiding us, and using our circumstances for His divine purposes.
