Why should we sanctify our lives to God?

Answered in 1 source

We should sanctify our lives to God as a demonstration of our response to His redemptive work in our lives.

Sanctification involves setting apart our lives for God's purposes, as indicated in Exodus 13:1-2. When we recognize that all we have belongs to the Lord because He redeemed us, we naturally respond by consecrating ourselves and what we possess to Him. This act of sanctification is both a grateful response to His grace and a commitment to live in obedience to Him. As the Apostle Paul urges in Romans 12, presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice is our reasonable service in light of the mercies we have received.
