Why should we spread the gospel despite opposition?

Answered in 1 source

We spread the gospel despite opposition because our purpose is rooted in obedience to God's command, not in the expectation of ease or comfort.

Paul declares in Acts 20:24 that none of the impending bonds and afflictions move him because he views the ministry as a calling that transcends his personal comfort or safety. The opposition we face serves as a testimony to the importance of the message we share; it asserts the seriousness of our mission. We are compelled to spread the gospel because it is the only true source of hope for salvation, and obeying God’s command to preach the good news reflects our faith in His sovereignty. The trials we encounter should not deter us, as they can lead to the furtherance of the gospel and the preparation of hearts to receive God's grace. This resolve is foundational for every believer's ministry.
