Why should we trust in God's promises?

Answered in 2 sources

We should trust in God's promises because He is faithful and unchanging, fulfilling His word without fail.

God's faithfulness is a cornerstone of our faith, and as noted in Numbers 23:19, He is not a man that He should lie. This unchanging characteristic ensures that what He has promised will come to pass. From Genesis to Revelation, God's promises are intertwined with His sovereignty and holiness. For instance, in 1 Timothy 3:16, we learn about the mystery of godliness and the fulfillment of God's promise through Christ, who was manifest in the flesh. His promises, particularly those concerning salvation and redemption, are secured through His actions and character. By reflecting on His previous faithfulness, we are encouraged to trust that He will continue to lead, guide, and provide for His people in all circumstances, underpinning the certainty that salvation is complete in Christ.
