Why won't the ungodly stand in judgment?

In Psalm 1:5, it is stated that 'the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment.' This reflects the eternal reality that without righteousness, there can be no standing before a holy God. The ungodly, having rejected God's truth and counsel, are separated from His grace and therefore face judgment. Romans 3:20 emphasizes that no one will be declared righteous in God's sight by observing the law, as all have sinned. Only through the righteousness provided by Jesus, who bore our sins and fulfilled the law, can any stand before the judgment seat of God without condemnation.
