You would open your Bible to
the Gospel of John, Chapter 3. While you're turning, I'd like
to say I thoroughly enjoyed being here. Your generosity, your hospitality. I enjoyed being over at the Marvin's
and his wife's last night. I thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed
it. Most of all, what a blessing it is. to meet with God's people. What a privilege. What a privilege. John chapter 3. Verse 8 is primarily going to
be my scripture today. I'll be looking at others, but
I want to read the first seven verses before it. There was a man of the Pharisees.
named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews, just like what Brother
Reibenbach just said. This man, Nicodemus, outwardly
was a Jew. His natural descendant was a
Jew. Very, very, very religious man. Knew the Old Testament scriptures,
could quote them probably verbatim, but did not know God. The same
came to Jesus by night and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that
thou art a teacher come from God, for no man can do these
miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered
and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man
be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus
said unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he
enter the second time into his mother's womb and be born? Jesus
answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born
of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom
of God. That which is born of the flesh
is nothing but and will never be anything but flesh. And that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto you,
you must be born again." So now in verse 8, he just described
the Spirit's work by the wind. He said, The wind bloweth where
it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, and cannot
tell whence it cometh, and whether it goeth. So is everyone. So is everyone that is born of
the Spirit. Now if you would turn to the
book of Ezekiel chapter 37. The wind bloweth where it listeth. Ezekiel chapter 37 beginning
in verse 1. The hand of the Lord was upon
me and carried me out in the spirit of the Lord. He set me
down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones and caused
me to pass by them round about and behold, watch this, there
were very many in the open valley and lo, they were very dry. God brought Ezekiel to this place,
this valley of nothing but death. Nothing left but bones. No skin,
no muscle, no nothing but just dry, dead, parched bones. And he said to him, God did,
son of man, can these bones live? I can just picture him saying,
I said, I don't know. And that's what he said. Can
these bones live? And he answered, Oh, Lord, thou knowest. It reminds
me just like when our Lord asked Peter, said, Peter, do you love
me? He said, Lord, thou knowest. Can these bones live? Lord, I
don't know, but you know whether they can or not. And again, he
said unto me, prophesy unto these bones and
say unto them, bold ye dry bones, Hear the Word of the Lord. Thus
saith the Lord God unto these bones, Behold, I will cause breath
to enter into you, and you shall live. And I will ascend you upon
you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover your skin,
and put breath in you, and you shall live. Now what's the next
statement? And ye shall know that I am the
Lord. If there's going to be life to
these bones, God's the only one that can give it. But watch how
he does it. Verse 7, So I prophesied as I
was commanded. As I was commanded. Every preacher
of the gospel, every preacher that God sends, he does just
what God commands him to do. It's not the responsibility of
any preacher to give life. He can't. It's just his responsibility
to do what God commands him to do if nobody ever believes, if
the bones never are revived. So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I prophesied, now watch
this, there was a noise and a shaking. God knows how to shake things
up when God begins to work. A noise and a shaking and the
bones came together, bone to his bone. When I beheld, now
watch this, lo the sinew and the flesh come upon them and
the skin covered them above, but there was no breath in them. Robert Hawker said human strength
can cause a stir, but it can't give life. Now listen to me. Our Lord did give the illustration
of a parable. He said as the seed is cast,
it falls on four different types of ground. It fell upon the stony
ground and it seemed to spring up. We said surely there must
be life here now, but it withered away. We see the sinew, we see
the muscle, the skin come upon these bones and said surely there
must be life, but he said there's still no breath in it. It's still
dead, still dead. But there was no breath in him.
Look at verse 9. Then said he unto me, prophesy
unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind,
thus saith the Lord God come from the four winds of breath
and breathe upon these slain that they may live. So I prophesied
as he commanded me and breath came into them and they lived
and they stood upon their feet as an exceeding army. Then he
said unto me, son of man, who are these bones? What do these
bones represent? Those bones are the whole house
of Israel, not some nation overseas that Brother Rupert just mentioned
a little bit ago. This is the whole House, the
whole elect of God. This pictures us, a bunch of
dried dead bones. And God gives life. He said this
is the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say, our bones are
dried and our hope is lost. We are cut off for our parts.
Therefore, prophesy and say unto them, thus saith the Lord God. Behold, O my people, I will open
your graves." Now watch all this where he says, I'll do. Behold,
O my people, I will open your graves. He calls you to come
out of the graves and bring you into the land of Israel. And
you shall know, here he says it again, that you shall know
that I am the Lord. When I have opened your graves,
O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, and shall
put my spirit in you and you shall live. When God puts his
spirit in something, what's going to happen? It's going to live.
It's going to live. And I shall place you in your
own land. Here he says it again. Then shall
you know, he says it three times in these 14 verses, that you
may know that I am the Lord. That I, the Lord, have spoken
it and performed it. the Lord. God told Ezekiel to prophesy
unto the wind, speak to the wind that it may blow. Can you imagine
this earth if you can without the wind? There would be nothing
but death. Without God's breath, we can
gather and meet and go through the motions. But unless God speaks,
it's nothing but death. And the more he leaves it alone,
it becomes stagnant. Death. Death. Without God's wind, without God's
breath, there's no life. We can't do anything. We can't
pray. You ever tried to pray? I try all the time. I don't know
if I've ever prayed. We try to preach. Worship. We try to sing songs of praise
and we can't do anything. You can't even get anything from
a gospel message, any benefit to your soul unless God breathes
upon it. It's nothing but words. Words. Words. The first thing I noticed
about the wind, it is mysterious. It's mysterious. He said the
wind blows where it will. You can hear the sound there
up there where it comes and where it goes, It's that mysterious. God works in a mysterious way
his wonders to perform. He plants his footsteps on the
sea and he rides upon the storms. In some places of the earth,
the wind blows from north to south and other places it goes
from south to north. If you've ever flew on a plane,
and Sandy flew to out to Joe Terrell's back in the spring.
First time we ever flew. We were sitting in Greensboro
Airport, and Sandy looks out on the, you know, we're expecting
a great big plane. Sandy looks out and says, that's an awful
small plane. Then we see the pilot come by.
She said, oh, that's an awful young pilot. I'm thinking, I don't know where
I want to go or not. We flew from there to Chicago, and then
from there out, and it was fine. I loved it. Coming back, it was
fine. till we flew from Detroit to Greensboro. We're on a little
plane. There's two rows on this side
and there's one on this side. That ain't a big plane. Oh, it
was so rough. He said, I'm going to try to
change elevation so we can get out of this wind. He said, I
can't get out of it. I thought it was going to jar
my teeth out. I was flat scared to death. Those winds, you could
not see them. Mysterious that they were there. The Spirit of God, it's so mysterious. He can save one here and leave
another. Mysterious. Mysterious. I know what the definition of
unction is, but I can't describe it. I just know when I'm around
it. It's a mystery. When I hear that
man or any other preacher and God blesses that man, I can't
describe it. I just know there's a difference
when God is there. A mystery. A mystery. It's profound. His ways are higher than our
ways. His wondrous works. When God revives His church,
that's a mystery. I tell our congregation we could
stand and sing and rightfully sing it. Revive us again every
time we meet. There's nothing wrong with that
song. It's just like just as I am, religion has perverted
it. I need revival today. It blessed
my heart to hear you speak yesterday, Rupert, but I need reviving today. And there's nothing we can do
to cause it to happen. I've been in religion, and I've
seen things, and God let me see them by experience, so I know
exactly what I'm talking about. When we used to have what we
would call revival meetings in the summer or the fall, we would
gather and meet with all, confess our sins, and we'd brag on God
and beg for God to do something, and we thought maybe He might
do revival if we did our part. He performs it. And I've seen
them. God might have blessed years
ago in what they called camp meetings. They would have nothing. They would just throw some shavings
out. And I've seen people try to counterfeit it. They're trying
to work it up. You can't control God. He's mysterious. Mysterious. You know what a mystery
is? You can't explain it. A mystery,
you just can't explain it. I can't explain it. You can't
explain it. We can't explain it. We know
it's a mystery when God's spirit begins to work. I can just see
Ezekiel. God said prophesy to the wind
and the wind began to blow and life, life came to them. That's a mystery, a mystery. Redemption is a mystery. Can
you explain it? Regeneration is a mystery. Can
you explain it? I can't. God gives life to a
dead, dead sinner. Resurrection's a mystery. God
intended for Nicodemus to understand this and use the wind. Something
else about the wind, it's mysterious, but it is sovereign and it's
irresistible. He can save. or he can damn. He can blow your way and speak
life to you or he can leave you alone. You told me about your
daughter last night. She's been in a grace church
for years. She said she could tell the difference between grace
and Arminianism. She could have stood up for grace,
fought against Arminianism, but she could have took it or left
it. But one day something sovereign happened. God spoke to her. I didn't speak to her because
she was a preacher's daughter. God spoke to her because she
was one of his daughters. Sovereign. Sovereign. Brother Rupert can attest to
that. He lives down in a place where
last Saturday, Twenty-some tornadoes touched down. Twenty-some. That don't happen very often
in our state. I don't remember it happening.
There was this little town called Sanford. There was a Lowe's hardware
store. Just so happened, by a miracle,
the manager saw the tornado coming. He gets on the intercom and tells
everybody to go to the back of the store. There was a hundred
and some people in that store. If they hadn't run to the back,
it would have killed every one of them. that wins sovereign. He could see it coming. There's
nothing he can do about it. All he can do is run for cover.
And when God Almighty begins to blow, all you can do is run
for cover. You better run for a refuge.
God is sovereign. You imagine somebody said, well,
let's see if we can't divert this tornado. That's about how foolish that
is. Oh, we don't want it to touch down in our town. It touches
down where it wants to. It destroys what it wants to.
You know, you've seen pictures. It can destroy a whole town and
leave one house standing. God can save a whole family but
one and pass them by. He's suffering. We don't make God do anything. We come into his house, we don't
make him do anything. We just beg that He breathe upon
us. He's sovereign. This world thinks that they can
control Him. They can control their little peanut God, but
you don't control the sovereign God of this universe. If I could
entitle this message, it would be, listen to the wind. If they
could just hear Him speak, even in those storms. God doesn't
try to speak to people. He speaks to people. I tell you,
if God wants to get your attention, He's getting it. He's getting
it. Like I said, those people that
went in that Lowe's hardware store, it got their attention.
Running for their life. There's no withstanding his power,
his influence. He gives to every man severally
as he will. Like the spirit, like the wind,
he doesn't try to do anything. He does things. He does as he will. He gives
life as he wills. He casts down the stronghold
of Satan. There's no match for his spirit. I'm very sovereign. Go back and
read again in the book of Job, the first chapter, talking about
how God took away everything he had. And when the servants
come in, they said, I'm the only one escaped alive. He said there
was a wind come down. and killed every one of his children
at one time. And you know what Job said? The Lord gave and the Lord hath
taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.
Like you said, they said God's not in it. God is in it. Everything, listen to me, whether
it's something that happens in Japan or something that happens
in North Carolina, God's in it. God is in it. And I'm glad he
is. That's my only comfort. That's
my only hope. I'm glad I serve a sovereign
God. Something else about the wind.
It's mysterious. It's sovereign. It's irresistible.
And it's obvious. Peggy, could you tell where that
tornado had been? Peggy lives down that way also. She said
she's seen where that came by that low storm. She said it's
pretty obvious where it went, where it didn't go. It's obvious.
When God works, it's obvious. It's obvious that it's his work.
He gets all the glory. That no flesh glory in his presence. You can't tell where the wind
came from. You can't tell where it's going,
but you can tell where it's been. The wind moves in the path that
God ordained it. Nahum 1.3, the Lord hath his
way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the
dust of his feet. Now listen to this. The wind
crushes everything beneath its force. Everything bows to the
wind. The grass bows. The trees bow. and before God Almighty's Spirit,
ever-chosen sinner, vows to his sovereign will." We didn't have, I was probably
about 175 miles from Brother Rupert. We didn't have much wind
and Sandy had to work and I was at the house like Saturday morning
and downstairs and I came up and looked out on the patio and
I seen limb about the size of my arm, just part of it laying
on the patio. And I thought, where'd that come
from? Until I walked out the door and seen the rest of it.
It was a tree about the size of my leg. Come over, hit the
gutter, and broke the patio table. It was an oak tree that was rotten. Well, I'm trying to make a point.
If I knew that tree had been rotten, I'd have cut it last
fall. I wouldn't have let it stood. I had no idea it was rotten,
because in the wintertime, every other tree looks rotten. They
all look dead. What I'm saying is that wind revealed that that
tree was rotten. That's the way God's wind does.
It will expose what's real and what's not. Crushes it. Crushes it. God doesn't try to conquer your
will. He conquers it. God doesn't have Listen to me,
everybody that has ever lived upon this earth, every demon
in hell and the devil himself will one day bow before his presence
and say, Jesus Christ is Lord. He don't have any trouble. And unless God gets a hold of
you, you will never bow. Never, never. As the wind was involved in the
first creation, the wind is involved in the new creation. Genesis
1, 1, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth, and
the earth was without form and void. In darkness it was upon
the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moved upon the
face of the waters. The Spirit is compared to the
wind. and the wind is like a sound." Someone said that very word is
where we get our word, voice. So it could read, the wind bloweth
where it listeth, and thou hearest the voice thereof, but cannotst
tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth. So is every one that
is born of the Spirit. Thou hearest the voice of God
by the word of God. This is not just a mere book
of 66 books. It is God's Word. God's Word. If God's going to speak to you,
he's going to speak through his Word, not through some people
saying, oh, I've got a revelation from God. Everything we'll know
about God in this life is found right here. And that's how God speaks. God
speaks. God speaks. As I read the other
day, God uses the foolishness of preaching to save them which
believe. God uses his word to give life. 1 Peter 1.23, being
born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible by
the word of God which liveth and abideth forever. For all
grass, all flesh is his grass, and all the glory of man is the
flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the
flower thereof falleth away. But the word of the Lord enjoyeth
forever. And this is the word which by
the gospel is preached unto you. God, give us grace to listen
to the wind. What is God saying? What is God
saying in the wind? God, as we already mentioned,
talks about the four winds of the earth. And God calls, as
He did in Ezekiel, to come and revive those dead bones. Matthew
24, 31 says, and he shall send his angels, gospel preachers,
with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together
his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the
other. He calls them by the wind. He calls them by his gospel. Now, all four of the winds are
spoken of in the scriptures, the north wind, the south wind,
the west wind. and the east wind. The north
wind is a picture of God blowing chilling winds of conviction
over your soul. As I was sitting out on the patio
the other evening, I thought, you know, that wind, it feels
pretty good right now. But boy, it didn't back in January.
There was a difference. God can send the cold wind of
conviction over your soul. When the Spirit of God has come,
he shall reprove the world of sin, of righteousness, and of
judgment. God must show a man his sin or
he'll never see it. Did you hear what I said? Unless
God show you your sin, not just sins, but sin, you'll never see
it. How did he do that? God sent
the wind your way. Sent the wind. Awakens the soul. awakens us of our need of Christ,
convicts us of our sin. The south wind is gentle, warming,
and brings comfort. I'm glad when he sends the north
and brings conviction to a depraved, dead heart, he might send the
south wind to comfort that heart. Luke 12, verse 55, and when you
see the south wind blow, you know that there is heat, and
it cometh. It taketh both the north wind and the south wind
to make our gardens fruitful. As you read the Song of Solomon,
hear a wind, north wind, and come. Blow upon my garden, my
garden, and it's His garden. You know what happens when those
winds blow? It brings forth fruit for His
glory. He sends them. He sends them
the west wind. Looking in Israel, when they
look from east to west, you remember the story of Elijah on Mount
Carmel. God's getting ready to send rain.
It's not rained in years. He tells his servants to go look
toward the west. See what you see. He said he
went the first time and said, I don't see anything. He said,
keep going back, and he went back the seventh time. He said,
I see a cloud about the size of a man's hand. He said, you
tell Ahab, he better get in his chariot and go, because God's
going to send rain. It takes the north wind and the
south wind on God's garden to bring forth fruit, but it still
takes water. God must water it. It's all God's
work. It's not man's work. The rain
is coming. And now I'm going to speak, I've
spoke with the North, the South and the West, but the East Wind. If you want to turn to Acts 27,
I'm going to be looking at several verses there. But while you're
looking there, another place that this is spoken
of is when, remember when Joseph was in Egypt and Pharaoh had
a dream. They had a dream and what the
dream meant was there was going to be seven plenteous years of
corn and fatness and wow, all this plenty. He told them to
get all this corn and put it up. And what was going to happen
after the seven years? Here's what he said in Genesis
41, 23. And behold, seven years withered
thin and blasted with the east wind. when God blasts away all your
carnal security and your carnal hope. And you know why he did
that? In Genesis, he did it so they'd
come to Joseph. That's the main reason. Because
Joseph's king in Egypt. Joseph's over all the corn. You
know why God blasts your corn? Because you'll come to Joseph.
If he never blasts it, you'll never come. You've got everything
in this world you think all fixed up. You let God send a tornado your
way and just take it all away. As I thought about some of those
people, some of them not only lost their home, they lost their
jobs. They have nothing. Is that not
what God does to a sinner? He blasts it all away. Strips
you when there's nothing left. Nothing left now in Acts chapter
27. We have this picture here beginning
in verse 9, beginning in the middle of the story. When Paul
was sent on this ship with all these men, he was on this ship
as a prisoner. Beginning in verse 9, and when much time was spent
and selling was now dangerous, Because the fast was now already
past, Paul admonished him and said unto them, Sirs, I perceive
that this voyage will be with hurt and must damage, not only
of the lading of the ship, but of our lives. Nevertheless, the
centurion believed the master and owner of the ship more than
those saints which were spoken by God's man Paul. They said,
oh, don't put any stock in what he said. He's just a crazy man. He don't know what he's talking
about. And because the haven was not commodious to winter
in, the more part of the men on the ship advised to the part
thence, if by any means they might attain to Phoenicia, and
there to winter, which is a haven of Crete, and lie toward the
south, west, and northwest." Now, if you look at verse 13,
"'And when the south wind blew softly,' supposing that they
had obtained their purpose, And what I see here, they misinterpreted
the wind. Oh, everything's going to be
fine. The wind's blowing our way. Paul said, oh, it's going
to be with damage and much hurt. Oh, we don't believe it. And
oh, look at it. Things just seem to be going
our way. There are some people, listen to me, how do we apply
that to right now where we live? There's a lot of people say today,
oh, I missed that tornado. Everything's going my way. Because
sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, men's
hearts are continually set on doing evil. There's no judgment
to come. Look, the south wind's blowing
good. It's redone. They're loosing fence. They said,
oh, it's time to sail, boys. They sailed close by Crete. Verse 14. But not long after,
there rose a tempestuous wind called Uroclodon. It didn't take long, did it? One illustration that comes to
my mind was Jonah. I told Jonah to go to Nineveh.
You know what Jonah said? I ain't going. I ain't going
to that bunch of wicked people. I'm just not going. He went down. He found the ship. He had the
money to pay the fare. He said, everything must be working
out. Until he got on the ship. And
God sent a storm his way and got his attention. God sent, there arose this tempestuous
wind called Urukladin. Verse 15, and when the ship was
caught and could not bear up under the wind, we let her drive. There's no resistance. No resistance,
we must just let her drive. And running under a certain island,
which is called Claudia, we had much work to come by the boat,
which when they had taken up, they used helps undergirding
the ship, and fearing lest they should fall into the quicksand,
straight sail, and were so driven. And we being exceedingly tossed
with a tempest, the next day they lightened the ship. I picture people, they're getting
on this ship and they've got all these valuables. It's untelling
what all's on this ship. We don't know who all's on this
ship. We can only speculate. But when the storm began to come,
they got rid of some things. They began to lighten the ship.
It ain't that important anymore. Let me remind you once again,
we're just pilgrims on this earth. Abraham dwelled in tents with
Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. We're just here. God teach us
and remind us that again. And He will if you're His. I
have no doubt of that. God has sent you an east wind
like He did to this ship. And you know what you'll start
doing? You'll start lighting in the ship. It's not as valuable
as you thought it was. I tell you, I speak from experience.
Hard lessons. You can think everything that
there is is in this world, and it's not. And God will teach
you that. They lightened the ship. And
the third day, we cast out with our own hands even the tackling
of the ships. And don't we need the tackling?
No, you don't need it. Get rid of whatever we can. It
just doesn't matter. Now, religion tries to get people
to do things they just don't want to do. And our life in this world is
described just like this ship. We're on a voyage over a sea. And God knows when to send a
storm to get yours and my attention. We'll start making life the ship.
We even throw out the captain of the ship. It just don't matter.
It just doesn't matter. They lighten the ship. And the
third day, now watch this, you know what they're trying to do?
They're trying to do everything they can to save the ship. Everything
they can to save the ship. And the third day, we cast out
with our own hands even the tackling. Verse 20, and when neither sun
nor star in many days appeared. How did they tell where they
were at on the ship in those days? Most of them, some of them
didn't even have compasses. By the sun and the stars. And nothing appeared when neither
sun nor star in many days appeared. And no small tempest lay upon
us. Now watch this. I want you to
get this. And all hope that we should be saved was then taken
away. I'll give you some scripture
reading, an assignment. Go home and read Psalms 107.
It ties right in with this. He commands the stormy winds
to arise. They stagger to and fro like
a drunk man. Then they cry unto the Lord. When all hope that
is being saved is taken away, taken away, taken away, then
you look to God and not before. And let me tell you this, this
is not a one-time event. It happens over and over and
over again. I've been to places before. There's nowhere else to look.
All hope that being saved is going to take away. I think I'm
even going to perish. How can I know God and even feel the
way I have or think the things I have? How can a child of God
be that way when all hope that being saved is taken away? Taken away. Look at verse 21. Before they wouldn't listen to
the man of God. But after long abstinence, Paul stood forth in the midst
of them and he said, sirs, you should have hearkened unto me
and not have loosed from Crete and to have gained this harm
and loss. This was your own fault. Everything that happens to me,
most of it is my own fault. But now I exhort you, be of good
cheer. For there shall be no loss of
any man's life among you but of the ship." He's saying you're
going to live, but you're going to lose the ship. What I'm saying is like 276 people
on this ship. You say, why is that recorded? God knows exactly
how many children He has. Every single one of them. Look what He said, verse 23. For there stood by me this night
The angel of God, who is that angel of God? Is that not Christ? Whose I am and whom I serve say
in fear not Paul. Thou must be brought before Caesar.
And lo, God hath given thee all them that sell with thee. Verse 39. And when it was day and they
knew not the land, but they discovered a certain creek with a shore
into which they were minded, if it were possible, to thrust
the ship into. When they had taken up the anchors
and they committed themselves into the sea, were at the mercy
of the sea, were at God's mercy. And they loosed the rudder bands
and hoisted the main sails to the wind and made toward shore. What's on their mind? Getting
to shore. Our minds are so clouded with
everything in this world. God commands us and instructs
us to set our affections upon things above, not on the things
of this earth. Don't you be like the Gentiles are. Don't you seek
the things of this world. Their minds are set on one thing.
Getting to shore. Getting to shore. And following
verse 41, into a place where two seas met, they ran to ship
aground, and the fore part struck fast and remained unmovable,
but the hinder part was broken with the violence of the waves.
And the soldiers' counsel was to kill the prisoners, lest any
of them should swim out and escape. Even this storm didn't change
these hardness, these men. But the centurion, willing to
save Paul, kept him from their purpose and commanded that they
which could swim should cast themselves into the sea and get
to land. Now watch this. And the rest, some on boards,
some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass
that they escaped all safe to land. You know what I'm confident
of this morning? All God's children. You're going
to make it safe to land. Everyone. I thank God for every
east wind. To destroy every false comfort,
every carnal security, everything. You know what God does? He breaks
us. God used broken pieces of the
ship to save those people. God never used anything except
that which he breaks. You know, by nature, we're so
proud. We think we've got it all figured out. We ain't got
nothing figured out. We're just nothing and no bodies. And flesh and blood can't teach
you that. Only God can teach you that. You know what God did to Moses
on the backside of the desert for 40 years? He broke him. You know what God did to David
when he was chased by King Saul? He broke him. God break us. God make us dependent upon you. God help us to listen.
