longer. As we stand here and read... You know, a spouse may die, 20
years may go by, but in reality, Say goodbye to Abraham here.
Is Abraham in verse 8? Abraham who believed God. Abraham who left his father's house. Living, he and Sarah fought
and his father followed. But he packed his bags and he
followed. Not knowing where he was going. Five years old when that happened.
A hundred years. A hundred years. I let him, he win. 175 years. The same thing is
written of Abraham that would be written of all of us. For now then, I get a phone call. Surprises. One of the men wants to die.
I know it surprises us, especially if a young person dies. Burgess said something that has
stuck with me, and I read this years ago when I was young. He
said, the young may die, but the old must. The young may die. And I've been
to some young. Abraham says that he was old,
well stricken in years. He died in a good old age, but
you know what? Left this life. Left this life. You know that what died was just
body. As believers, body goes back to the dust. We go to be
with It says Abraham died and he was
gathered to his people. Said we all have to die and we'll
be gathered with our people. And this is a thought that came
to me as I read this. Those whom we ran with, either
with the redeemed in heaven, that's who we were. Now before he dies, he gives
all that he has. All that he has. His choice possession. Gave gifts to the other sons. Gave them gifts. Nice gifts. But to Isaac, he gave all of
it. Son of promise. Temporal gifts are just that
they're temporal Isaac was given the birth Jesus Christ now here's where
Isaac is a picture of Christ Jesus Christ is the firstborn
God said this is my only begotten son He has the birthright that
is everything belongs to Jesus everything's given to him God
the Father has given to His Son absolutely everything. There is nothing that exists
that does not belong to Jesus Christ. Every person in this
world belongs to Him whether they like it or not. Whether they are saved or lost,
they are His to do with as He will. away from this thing of what
are you going to do with Jesus? I'm telling you, what is Jesus Christ
going to do with you? You have been put into his hands. Every individual has been put
into the hands of the man, Christ Jesus, and he will do with them. as he will. You know, gospels,
everyone came to Jesus Christ, mercy, never turned away. Pharisees,
disciples. A woman with the issue of blood,
he allowed her to Blind Bartimaeus, he gave him sight. The lame man,
he gave him wisdom. The dead, he raised up. He never turned away his sight.
Now, on this matter of all things being given to Christ, it includes the verse, That's His. The moon you look
at at night, the sun that we see during the day, and all those
stars, all that exists is given to Jesus Christ to rule over
and to, not only just to rule over, but to also maintain. Look
over in Colossians chapter one. We'll do a little reading this morning. Colossians
1 verse 17, it is written, well go to verse
16, go to verse 16. For by him are all things created,
heaven, earth, visible and invisible, things we can't even see. Talk
about angels. Gabriel, Michael, created them. He's our creator. Visible and
invisible, whether they be thrones, He created them. Or dominions,
or principalities, or powers. There is no power, there is no
principality that He did not create. Satan has his being from
Christ. He doesn't have his sin from
Christ. All things were created by him
and for him. He is before all things. By him
all things exist. That means all things are held
together. Not only does it mean they are
held together, it means they are maintained. He maintains
the universe. He maintains the stars in their
course. He maintains the sun. He maintains
this world hanging in space. He maintains this world hangs
in space by the word of his power. That's why I'm not afraid of Ryan or something like that. Christ Heavens Of course You go over in Proverbs and it
says they have no leader, no king Well, they do, Jesus Christ
They have no king among themselves The Lord directs them You and
I wouldn't think much of that It's on the earth. It wrecks
them. Abuse. Everything on this earth has
its purpose. It's under the hands of the authorities. All principalities are given
to him to rule over, over in Colossians chapter 2, verse 10. You are complete in Him, which
is the head of all principality. He's the head of it. I'm not afraid. Seriously, I'm not

If it's the Lord's will for that to happen, it's going to happen. He's over all principality and
power. This is what enables me to sleep
at night. I know that my Lord, there is
one greater, greater than any human being on this earth that
has all power and he's holy, gracious and merciful. You know,
the scripture says over in the Psalms that he maketh wars to
cease until the ends of the earth. If he didn't, They would not
cease. The first war would still be
going on. Unless it was just the one left on the other side. He makes wars to cease. He says
how long they will be fought. He gives them their duration
and their purpose. Our Lord does that. All the elect were given to him
to redeem. to justify, to cleanse, and to
bring home to glory spotless. You know, the scripture says
that he's going to present us... I got a lot of spots in my life.

the gospel, believe the gospel. God, you're blameless. Good news to a bunch of criminals.
Now, to a Pharisee, he said, well, I thank you, God, I'm not
like the other men. I don't have any spots. I don't
have any problems. news it's good news turn over
to john 17 john chapter 17 verse 2 thou has given him power he's
talking about his father has given him power over all flesh. What if there is a kind of forgiveness given to him for over in that Arab world that
hates him. God's given him some people to
save. Now, If he did not have power over all flesh to not accomplish
full salvation, here's good news. Here's good
news to anyone living in those countries where the gospels,
they try. He has power. He has one right sitting in the
government seat in China. You wanna save him? The whole
China government can't stop him. Power over all three. And then look in verse six. I have manifested thy name unto
the men which thou gavest me out of the world. Thine they
were and thou gavest them me. They have kept thy word. Look
down at verse nine. I pray for them. I pray not for
the world because our Lord knew that everything he prayed for
he got. And only one who could say Father,
I will, look in verse 24, John 17. Father, I will that they
also from thou has given me be with me where I am. Jesus Christ
is the only person who can pray and say, father, I will. You
and I say, father, thy will be done. But this is one who is
equal with God and he can say, I will get it. His will won. We have two different wills.
They are one. But back in verse 9, it says,
I pray for them. I pray not for the world, but for them which
thou hast given me. That is so clear. I pray for
them whom thou hast given me. They are thine, and all mine
are thine, and thine are mine. Jesus Christ was given a people,
a multitude of sinners to save. Not one sheep will be... The promised land is given to
the Lord Jesus Christ. of heaven. The fire's in him. He shall share
it with them. The rule of it, the glory of
it. The power and authority is given
to him. He's the judge over all. I tell you, when people die... Over in the book of Revelation,
it speaks of the wrath of the Lamb. That's what they are going
to deal with, is the wrath of the Lamb. He said that all power, authority,
and all judgment was delivered. Look over in John chapter 5.
John chapter 5. We need to do this more often,
just read it from the Word of God. In verse 22, John 5,
22. For the Father judges no man,
but hath committed all judgment unto the Son. All men should
honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He that honors not
the Son, honoreth not the Father, Verily, verily, I say unto you,
he that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me,
hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation, but
is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you,
the hour is coming, now is, when the dead shall hear the voice
of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live. The Father hath
life in himself, so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself.
And that's given him authority to execute judgment also because
he's a son of man. Savior. I want to deal with the Savior. Said in Isaiah, I am a just God. Christ, he is a just God and
the Savior. Outside of Christ, he is a just
God. And then all the fullness of
the Godhead dwells in Jesus Christ. Go back to Colossians. Colossians 2 verse 9, it says,
for in him, that is in Jesus Christ, dwelleth, not a visit,
this is not a visit. Godhead doesn't visit him, did
not visit him. In him dwelleth all the fullness,
Godhead bodily. There's nothing, listen, there
is nothing of God that's not in Christ. The whole fullness,
everything that God is All wisdom and knowledge is given. God, he says, come to me. No, God, I have to study, I must
study. All knowledge. Knowledge, the
scripture says that he is the key of knowledge. Apart from
Him, you cannot know anything in a saving manner. All the covenant blessings are
in Him. It says all the promises of God
in Him Or yes, all the covenant promises, all that's in that
covenant. Now, wisdom teaches us that if
all things are given to Him, all things are in Him, it would
be wise to go to him. Gotta be a constant. Close with this. You need righteousness. I was born without it. When I was born, I was born naked.
There's an opener. Born with nothing. Born completely
naked. You and I were born completely
void and naked of spirit. Spiritual things. Righteousness, sanctification,
redemption. It tells us in 1 Corinthians 1.30 that He made these things. He doesn't just give us these
things. He is my wisdom. He is my righteousness. He is my sanctification. He is
my redemption. It's not just something He gives
me, though He does. This is what He is to me. This
is what God the Father made God the Son to be to His people.
Because that is exactly what God the Father requires. And
what He requires, He provided in Jesus Christ. real person whatever your need is Jesus Christ all things
