Thank you, Deity. Old girls like that hymn too. Jill Ogle always requests that. Every time we take requests,
she requests that song. Genesis 42. The reason we study the Old Testament,
the reasons are many. Number one, it's God's Word. Number two, it's still totally
relevant, completely. God hasn't changed. Man hasn't
changed. Things haven't changed. Everything's the same. It's the
Bible that all the prophets preached from, the apostles preached from,
our Lord preached from. But they're like parables to
the world, aren't they? All these Old Testament stories
are just like Jewish fables to the world. That's fitting, isn't
it? That's fitting because our Lord spoke in parables. Disciples
say, why are you speaking in parables? He said, because it's
given to you. So He revealed these things to
them and to us. But He hid them from the world. They don't know what these things
mean. Oh, we do know. My, my, how blessed we are. This
will go remarkably well with the previous message. Chapter
41, verse 55 said, All the land of Egypt was famished. People
cried to Pharaoh for bread. He said, Go unto Joseph, what
he saith unto you. Famine was over all the face
of the earth. Joseph opened all the storehouses. Joseph had been
made ruler over the then known world. The most powerful man
in the... He was Lord. Pharaoh made him
Lord over all. Gave him all power, all authority. The name of Joseph. Every knee
would bow, every tongue confess, and whatever you get, you must
go to Joseph to get it. Now that's the Lord Jesus Christ.
That's speaking of the Lord Jesus Christ. God hath made His Son
Lord over all, and everything is in His hands. The earth is
the Lord's, Psalm 24 says, and the fullness thereof, the world
and they that dwell therein. Everything everyone has comes
from the hands of Jesus Christ. The religion the world over hates
that. But it's so, nonetheless. It's
so. Famine overall, that's significant,
isn't it? Famine. We live in a world that's
in a severe drought, and famine because of that drought. Oh,
not of bread. Not of food. Not of material
things, but spiritual things. The famine of the hearing of
the Word of the Lord, Hosea said. And you won't find it, except
if Christ gives. You won't find it. Oh my, God said, this is my beloved
son, hear him. God says to the world one thing,
this is my beloved son. Pharaoh said to everyone, if
you need anything, you're going to have to go to Joseph. Worship
Joseph. Ask Joseph. He has it all and
he'll give it. He likes to give it. God said,
this is my beloved son in whom I'm well pleased. Hear ye him.
Go to him. Come to him. He'll give you what
you require, what you need. Ask him, he'll receive. Knock,
he'll be open to it. Seek and you'll find. God's merciful
in it. God's gracious. There's a famine, a drought,
no water, no bread, no bread of life, just eating the husks. Yet Joseph provided everything.
In chapter 42, Jacob saw there was corn in Egypt. He said to
his sons, why do you look at one upon another? He said, I've
heard there's corn in Egypt. Get you down thither and buy
for us from fence that we may live and not die. Why look to one another, he said.
Don't look to one another for your need to keep yourself alive. Don't look to man, God says.
Don't look to one another. Don't look to even Pharaoh in
Egypt. Don't look to Egypt. His help is vain. Don't look
to ignorant, blind man for any help. But there is mercy. There is truth. There is salvation. There is grace. And one person
has it. Go to Him. Go to Christ. Corn
does not necessarily mean that stalk that we know of, corn with
the ear, yellow or white corn. It means seed. It means grain. It means corn. It means grain.
It means wheat. It means corn. It means rice.
I looked this up amazingly. All the world lives upon grain. The poorer countries, they live
on grain. Mexico, the poor peasants live
on corn. If they didn't have corn for
tortillas, they would die. They would die. Rice, the eastern
country. All the world lives because God
provides grain. Christ, the Lord Jesus Christ,
His tender mercies over all His work. You know, there are 400
million metric tons of rice produced every year. 400 million tons
every year. It just keeps going, it just
keeps going. God keeps going. 600 million metric tons of corn. 600 million metric tons of wheat. That's 1,600 million metric tons,
which is greater than that, to feed the world. Where does it
come from? The Lord. That Thou givest them, they receive. He opens His hand and just keeps
doing it. Keeps doing it. Year after year after year after
year. Are men thankful? Oh my. Yet man says, no God. Sixteen hundred million metric
tons of grain to feed the world. And men say, there's no God.
Aren't we lucky? Is it any wonder God's angry?
He said, I fed you. Oh my, but the Heavenly Father
lacked Jacob. Jacob was a believer. Jacob was
a father to these sons, sorry though they be. Jacob was a father
to his son. Jacob knew the Lord. Jacob. He said, I'm the God of Jacob.
And Jacob the father said to all his sons, there's corn in
Egypt, you're going to have to get down and you're going to
have to get it. Go, buy it for us. Didn't our Heavenly Father
say this? Oh, everyone that thirsteth,
come to the waters. Either have no money, come, buy,
eat. Without money, without price.
Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? Your labor
for that which satisfieth not, hearken diligently, listen carefully
now, and eat that which is good." Oh, this stuff is going out in
a draft. This is the way you're going to live. This is the bread
from heaven. This is angels' food. This is
what your soul is going to live up. Jesus Christ! Christ said, except you eat my
flesh, you'll die. and the Heavenly Father, they'll
be all taught of God. Get down by that you may live. Bread. It's in Egypt. We live
in Egypt. We live in this world, don't
we? Land of bondage that we just
read about. Wicked place. Filthy Bible. But
bless God, there's bread here. They're bred to the fullest. And Jesus Christ the Lord delights
to give. He has it. And all His children
will be taught of God. And every man that hath heard
and learned of the Father, where do they go? They'll come to Christ. And these
fellows are coming, and they don't know it. They're coming to Him and they
don't know it. Somebody's coming and they don't
know it. You see, none of us knew Him. None of us will know Him unless
He comes to us through an interpreter, through the preaching of the
Word, rough hewn, rough speaking, Fellas, that the world says it's
foolishness. This is how God speaks. That the excellency of the power
might be of God, not of man. Find you here and come unto me,
he said, here and your souls shall live. I'll make a covenant
with you, sure mercies. For what? but just come in and buy without money. You have to leave some place,
though, to get there. He said, Get down. Get down. So they went down. Verse 3, Joseph's
ten brethren, all of them, all of Joseph's brethren, every one
of Joseph's brethren are coming. Every one of the sons of Jacob
are coming. You're not going to lose one
of them. All ten of them, since they went down to Bachor. That's significant people. That
doesn't mean geographically, just geographically. God's Word
is perfect. Why did God have Egypt below
Israel? Why did God create the land so
that Egypt was put below Israel so they had to leave and go down
to get there? Because that's a picture of every
Son of Adam, every son of God, that is. It's going to come to
Christ. He's going to come down. Like old Naaman. I forgot his name last time.
Naaman, the Syrian, the leper. Great man, but the prophet said,
you're going to have to come down. You're too proud. You're
going to have to get in this old muddy water seven times.
You're going to have to be dumped seven times down until you're
just as muddy as that water And it's coming out your ears and
you think, there ain't no greatness in me. Look at me. I'm filthy. And when you do, you're going
to come out washed. I don't understand, preacher.
Oh, some of you do, don't you? That the way up is down. The
way God speaks peace is first speaking rough. There's no polite way to say,
repent, is there? Joseph went down, his brethren
went down. Every one of them. They needed
to. They're sorry. All of them are sorry. These
are the fellows that rejected Joseph. They hated him. Joseph
was merciful. Joseph wasn't like them. Joseph
was loving and cared for them. He came to do them good, didn't
he? When Joseph came to his brethren,
he came to do them good. Nothing but good, and they hated
him like David. They went down. They had to go down. They needed
to be brought down. All the way into prison. And
people, the Lord, before we're exalted, before the Lord raises
us up to sit in heavenly places, He's going to put us on the donkey.
Proud have to be brought low. Proud hearts got to be broken
before He heals it. Proud sinners are going to have
to be humbled. The fear of the Lord, there's fear before there's
peace. There's guilt before mercy. There's unworthiness before love. God's love doesn't mean a thing
to you unless you're a gomer. God be repentant before forgiveness.
We're guilty. We're guilty. We're guilty. Every one of us. Everybody at
Pentecost, 3,000 souls were brought down at the feet of the Lord
Jesus Christ, not knowing if He's going to have mercy or not. And they said, whoa, what are
we going to do? They weren't arguing with Peter. They weren't
saying, this is too hard. You're being too rough on us.
Speak a little peaceably to us. To a man, to a woman, to a child,
they were all saying, what are we going to do? We've rejected
the Son of God. We haven't been thankful. We've
lived our lives and haven't given God a thought just every now
and then as it's our duty. But God. And the mercy is, I
sent my son to die for the likes of you. And we even despised
that for a while. Don't you know these brethren
forgot all about Joseph's travail? You know, they heard him. They
heard him. Don't you know after a while
they forgot all about his pain, his suffering, and what they
did to him, forgot all that. Sons of Israel, verse 5, came,
they came to buy corn among those that came, for the famine was
in the land of Canaan. We live in a world full of famine,
in famine, as I said, as Scripture said. Not of bread, not of things. No, we're richer than ever. There's
more jewels and silver and horses and chariots and everything than
we can ever use. But we're living in a famine
of real peace, hope. Everybody's full of distress.
Not enough drugs and alcohol to do away with the distress
and the fears and the worries. There's no faith. You know, if
you're rich, to be really rich toward God, be rich in faith.
You can have nothing. You can be racked with pain and
filled with sorrow and your soul full of joy and peace. You can
have nothing and yet have Christ and have everything. And you
can have everything and you not have Christ and you don't have
anything. People, the world's got it all backwards. Oh, there's
no famine of things, but there's a famine of peace, of love, of
happiness, of satisfaction, of spiritual prosperity. And people
seek it in very many places. All over, they're looking for
it. They're looking everywhere, but to the One, the only One
who has it. Religion tries to offer these
things. Religion. People are looking for many things.
The Lord looked down from heaven in Psalm 14 to see if there were
any that did understand, if there were any that did seek God. God! Should not the creature seek
to his brethren? Should not the people seek to
God instead of to peeping wizards and things? Isaiah 59 says, Judgment
shall turn backward. It's all just so relevant, isn't
it? Joseph was governor over the
land, verse 6. He it was that sold all the people
the land. Joseph's brethren came and bowed
themselves before him with their faces to the earth. Joseph was
governor. And the Lord Jesus Christ, Scripture
says, the government is upon his shoulders. Isaiah 9, 6, the government is
upon His shoulder, and at the end of His government, there's
no end. He always has been reigning and ruling overall. And He it
is that gives it to all the earth, though they don't know Him. And
it's the greatest mercy and grace of God for you and I to find
out, for God to reveal unto us. Our brother Joseph. Our brother, the Lord Jesus. He was governor over all the
land. They came and they bowed their knee. You remember Joseph? The Lord told him in a dream,
this is what's going to happen. And he told his brethren, every
one of you are going to bow to me. Even the Father is going
to bow to me. Oh, they hated that. They said,
we won't have this man reign over us. Yes, you will. They
said, we'll do away with you. Oh, no you won't. Oh, how merciful. It is so merciful.
You're going to come and bow. You're going to come and bow
before it's too late. You're going to bow before it's too
late. You see, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess
that Jesus Christ is Lord. And it's salvation for the Lord
to make a human being do that now, before it's too late. Every eye shall behold Him. Every
single human being on the face of the earth is going to see
Him, as the lightning. They're all going to see Him.
And they're going to hit their knees. They're going to hit their
knees. And it says they're going to
cry unto the Lord, to hide us from Him. And so what we do, God, in mercy
to John, reveals Himself to the sorry sons of Jacob, and He says,
bow the knee that our people may will in the day, only in
the day of His power. And we come, bow the knee, and
we say, hide us. We're guilty. Joseph was governor. Oh, my prayer is that more will
bow the knee. Joseph saw them, verse 7. He saw his brethren. He knew
them. He saw them, and he knew them. He looked on them, and
he knew them. That means he knew them. He knew
all about them. And he saw them. He looked on
them. He was beholding them. He was watching them. Perhaps
he was, I'm sure, you just don't come into the presence of the
King. No, no, no. This is the Lord of Egypt. They didn't come
into his presence, oh no, they're coming to buy corn. They're not
going to come straight to Joseph. They're going to come to one
of his servants. But Joseph saw them. He saw them
afar off. And he looked on. He knew them.
Scripture says, there's no creature that's not manifest in his sight. All things are naked. Remember,
he said, you're spying the nakedness. All things are naked and open
under the eye, and they deny it. No, no, no, no. Oh yes. All things are naked and open
under the eyes of Him with whom we have to do. That's the Lord
Jesus Christ. Thou, Lord, seest me. He saw me long before I ever
knew Him. He saw me long before I sought
Him. And He knew me. It was all about
me. He knows us. Some people, Scripture
says, He knows afar off. People in Matthew 7 say, Lord,
Lord, He said, I never knew you. Oh, He knew all about them. He
knew every thought in their mind, every word in their mouth. It
says He knew them afar off, at a distance. He didn't intimately
reveal Himself to them. He did not save them. He knew
them and left them at arm's length. But it says, some He foreknew.
And whom He did foreknow, He predestinated. Who He predestinated. Now, they're sorry. He called. Whom He called, He justified.
Sinners? Yeah, He justified. Whom He justified,
glorified. They're going to sit with Him
on the throne. Who? Judah. Levi. He knew them. He was in the world,
a world made by Him, and the world knew Him not, but He came
to His own. And His own received Him not. There's a time when
every person in here, you may be a believer now, you may love
the Lord Jesus Christ now, you may know God now, you may bow
to God, worship God now in spirit, rejoice in Christ now, have no
confidence in the flesh now, but there was a time when everyone
in here did not know God, did not know Christ. We're just like
the people that were, and such were some of you. But blessed God, He made Himself
known unto us. He made His Son known unto us.
Verse 7 says that He made Himself strange unto them. See that?
He made Himself strange unto them. David said, Thou art a
God that hideth us. And when you first hear of the
God of the Bible, you'll say, like the people at, where was
it? Was it Antioch that said, this is a strange God. We've
never heard God like this, sovereign, choosing whom He will, doing
what He will, and man is subject to His will. We've never heard
a God like that, who's angry with people, doesn't love everybody,
but loves His own and loves Christ and blood sacrifice. We've never
heard that. That's strange doctrine to hire
you. It's strange God you have there. Yes, He's strange until
you know Him. He made himself strange. And
look at verse 7, it says, "...he spake roughly unto them." He
spake roughly unto them. He spake through an interpreter.
He didn't tell his interpreter, go... Now, the old speaker, he
talked. Now, I love these boys. They're pretty good boys, so
don't be too hard on them. Do you know how bad these men
are? You know what these fellas deserve? Now is he going to,
without them repenting, without them acknowledging their guilt,
without them saying that we don't deserve a thing from this king,
that we hate him, and we reject him, and killed him. We would
have killed him if he hadn't stopped it. They don't deserve
a crime. And they've got to see that.
They've got to see that anything this side of death is mercy to
them. They've got to see that the only
thing they deserve at the hands of this One they hated is death,
destruction. And so Joseph told his preacher,
don't prophesy smooth things to them, speak roughly. Do you hear any rough preachers
today except where the truth is preached? And I'll tell you
this, they're rough-hewn fellows too. What did the Lord say of
John the Baptist? What did you go out to see? A
fellow in silk? Smooth raiment? A fellow that's
trying to get you to accept Jesus? That's not God's preachers. They're
rough-hewn. And the message you'll first
hear from them Rough words. Did you read the margin? Hard
things. This is hard. Christ said some hard things,
didn't He? And most of them, many of them,
turn to say, we can't take this. It's too hard. It's too rough. God's preachers are rough-hewn
fellows. When they first come, it's rough,
it's hard to take, but it's what we need. It's a mercy, let the
righteous smite me. It won't harm me, it won't hurt
me, it will be a blessing. I speak roughly through an interpreter. Please God, by the foolishness
of preaching and earthen vessels, rough-hewn fellows, they're not
smooth and polished. I've been listening to a couple
of our dear brethren lately. One of them was from North Carolina
and one of them is from, I don't know where he's from, Podunk,
Holler. I'm not sure where he's from. But both of them say, born
again. Every time they talk about being born again, they both say,
borned. I can hear the world scoffing at them now. I can hear
the polished people now scoffing at these fellows. I can hear
them listening to the blessed sound of life from the lips of
these fellows sent by God, mocking them. I can hear them now mocking
these ignorant fellows, borned again. What kind of rednecks
are these? These are God's men. One of such fellows stood in
this pulpit one day and said, "'Preserverance of the saints
were saved by the perseverance of the saints.'" Now, that word
is not in the English dictionary. That word is not in the English
dictionary. It's not acknowledged by Noah
Webster. But God knows the word, and God's people know the word.
It's called perseverance because of preservation. Perseverance! And this poor rough-hewn fellow
from the mountains of West Virginia said it, and I rejoice. I'm saved by perseverance. Born again. You must be born
again. And one of those fellows - listen
to this - he wrote a letter to my pastor. He said, I miss your preaching so
much. Do you miss preaching? He said, I think sometimes I'd
make some dear pastor one of the finest church members he
could ever have. I'd love to go and just sit and
listen to the gospel as a pastor-priest. I'd never miss a service, never
have a negative thing to say. And as soon as the pastor left
the pulpit, I'd be the first to hug his neck and tell him
it was one of the best messages I'd ever heard. I hope someday
I can sit and listen for a while and rejoice. Rough-hewn fellows, got a rough
message that the world scoffs at, and the refined people scoff
at, but God delights in it. It's too hard, preacher. You're
stepping on my toe. Then I missed aiming for your
heart. I want your heart broken. Plumb broken until you're down
in the dust before the Lord begging Him for mercy. Then I've got
something good to tell you. Then and then only, when you
see that you don't deserve to hear this message, you don't
deserve a grain a crumb from the master's table. When you
get so hungry and so desperate and feel so guilty and then cry
to the Lord for mercy, you're going to go home with sacks full,
wagon loads. That's the story. They said, when Joseph said,
why are you here? They said, we've come to buy
food. And they told the truth then. That's the only truth they
told from here on. We've come for food. We've come
to fill our bellies. That's for sure. That's what
most people do. All people want from God is to
fill their bellies. Joseph knew them, verse 8. He
says it again. He knew his brethren, but they
knew him not. They knew Him not. Oh, He knew His brethren. He
knew the evil of their hearts. He knew their hatred of Him.
They knew Him not. They didn't know He was alive.
They didn't know the one that they hated was alive. They didn't
know that the one that they despised and rejected all those years,
the one that they never gave a thought from then on, they're
standing there right in front of Him and He's got their lives
in His hand right now as that interpreter speaks. They didn't
know that their lives were hanging in the balance. They didn't know
Him. And nothing more proves that
religion doesn't know God and people don't know God than they
talk about the Creator, the God in whose hands our breath is,
in all our ways, who gives us everything, to say that God wants
to be God. Won't you let Him be God? That
proves they don't know Him. They don't know Him. Or else they'd be crying out. You don't know Him. Well, thank
God. He's not like us. Thank God. His only begotten Son. He sent
Him into this world. He's not like us. He's better
than us. He's merciful. He's love. He's gracious. He delights to
show mercy. He's ready to pardon. Thank God. Thank God He has to
make us willing. As rebellious as we are, as hard
as we are, thank God He says, I'm going to ride that old wild
ass as coal. He's going to bow His head. And
if He doesn't choose to do that to us, we won't do it. If we
have, bless His name. He said you're spies. He kept
saying this, didn't He? You're spies. In other words,
you just come to see things. Just curious. Spies are enemies
too. Spies are those who are seeking
to overthrow the country that they're in. They're seeking to
overthrow. And that's all of us. Enemies of our wicked work,
isn't it? Ephesians 2, I was going to have
you turn there, but you know this. You know these things before.
I'm going to read it again. It says things like this. You
that were dead in trespasses and sin, you walked according
to the course of this world. According to the prince of the
power of the air, the spirit that works within the children
to disobedient, among whom we all had our conversation in time,
Pat, the lust of our flesh fulfilling the desires of the flesh and
the mind by nature children of wrath even as others." You say,
that wasn't me. They said, that's not me. Every
one of these sons said, that's not us. We're not spies. We're
true men. Well, they don't know themselves
yet. And if you think there's any
goodness in you, if you think there's anything whereby God
ought to accept you, no, I'm basically a good person. If you
think that at all, you're not going to live. You know what the next verse
is there after I read those three verses? Joseph's going to make himself
known to these fire-pickers. All of them are going to know
him. All of them are going to know him. And there's a way you
know you know him. It's one sign that you know him.
He kept saying, yes, you are. Remember that? They said, we're
not spies. He said, what I said unto you
is true. You are spies. And they were. And he said, you'll be proved
by this, verse 15. You'll be proved. Now go from
here. Except you bring your youngest brother. Except you bring your youngest
brother, you're not going to see my face again. Except you
bring the Son. Another verse, we're going to
get to it. Jacob's life was bound up in
the life of Benjamin. He was the son that was at home
all that time. Christ. It's all Christ. Christ
is all in all. And Joseph, who represents Christ,
through an interpreter said, you're not going to live except
you come back with that brother, with that son. When I see him,
you'll live. Oh my, God said, when I see the
blood, I'll pass it over you. It's impossible to please God
except by faith in Christ, except you come by Christ. You won't
live. This do and live, He said. Bring
that son down. He said, I'm going to put you
in prison until then, verse 16. And He did. See if there's any
truth in you. I'm going to put you in jail,
see if there's any truth in you. When does the truth enter a person?
When does the truth come out of his mouth? When is the truth
revealed? The truth as it is in the Lord
Jesus Christ. The truth of a holy God. The
truth of a just God. The truth of a God who will by
no means clear the guilty. The truth of how God may be just
and justifier. When is that going to come out
of a fellow's mouth? When is he going to learn that?
In prison, brought down at the hands of a thrice holy God. to
see we're getting what we deserve, then the truth is going to come
and set you free. You didn't hear that, did
you? The truth is going to come. Some did. It's going to make
you free. Because if the Son sets you free,
you're free indeed. Who wrote this book? Oh, God breathed. God breathed. Holy men spoke as they were moved
by the Holy Spirit. So he said, you bring that son.
And then, look down here, and I quit. He said, bring your youngest
son to me. There's too much to deal with.
I wanted to shorten this message because the first was so long.
Verse 20, bring your youngest brother unto me, and your words
will be verified, and you won't die. You won't die. And so they
did so. But before they did, while they're all standing around
in prison, before they get ready to go, it was like a knife in
their hearts. It was like a sword entered their
bones. It's like an arrow from the Almighty came down and all
ten of them, it pierced their hearts and they said, we're guilty
because of our brother. This is why this is all happening. We rejected the Son of our Father. Now the truth has entered their
hearts. You see that? Everyone at Pentecost,
a knife, a sword in their bones, a discerner of the thoughts and
intents of the heart, separating the joint from the marrow, soul
from the spirit, entered their hearts. The hearts of all of
them broke their hearts over what? Christ and Him crucified. that God sent His Son down to
this earth to die for worthless sinners such as we are, sent
His Son down here to give them His righteousness, to give them
credit for what He earned, and to take the blame, the punishment,
the penalty, the hell that they deserve. And we lived for years
and didn't care. Didn't care. Could care less. Oh, God. And now we don't know what's
going to become of us. That's what they all thought.
We're getting what we deserve. Verse 21, we're guilty concerning
our brother. We saw the anguish of his soul.
We saw Christ in him crucified. We heard what he said, and we
would not hear. And this distress. Now we're
in deep distress. Oh, you're in distress. Are you in debt? Discontent? Look at the next verse. The next
two verses. They knew not Joseph understood
them. Oh, he heard them. He heard every word, every beat
of their heart. Now he's hearing their broken
hearts. He spake unto them by an interpreter, and he turned
himself from them and wept. There's no weeping in glory.
And sometimes I don't see how that can be, because most of
us weep, like the people in Nehemiah's day, for joy and sorrow. When something's really wonderful,
we weep tears of joy. And it's going to be such joy
unspeakable. I don't know how it's going to
be, but there's not going to be any tears. God's going to wipe away all
tears. Christ does not weep. No, He, Jesus, does not weep
right now. But there's joy in heaven over
one sinner that repents joy. And He turned from them. And
here's last words. When He communed with them, He
took from them sin men. He took one. One was bound that
they might go free. One was bound so that they might
go free. And here's what Joseph said.
Now that they've repented, now that they've acknowledged their
guilt, now that they have bowed their knee, now that they know
they don't deserve a thing from the hands of Joseph, now what
does Joseph do? He commanded. God has given commandment
to Satan. Fill their sacks. He told his
servants, fill them up. Make them run over. Press down. Shake them together. Run it over.
Fill them. But aren't those those sorry
brothers that hated you? Yes, they are. Yes, they are. Those are my brethren. My brethren
have come. And I'm going to fill them up. They've acknowledged their transgressions. They've repented of their sins.
fill up their sacks, restore every man his money, because
this is all free, and give them provision for the way. Make sure
that they're provided for all the way home. These sorry fellas? Yeah, they are, but they sure
got a good brother, don't they? That's our brother, the Lord
Jesus Christ. Oh, may He make Himself known
to someone that does not yet know Him. Alright, Brother John,
you come. Let's sing a closing hymn. I
forget the number. Number 75. 75. Sing the first and last verses. 75, first and last. First and last call of the day. Number 75. Abide with me, fast falls even
time. The darkness deepens, Lord, with
me abide. When other helpers fail and comforts
flee, Help of the helpless, O abide with me. Last verse. Hold thou thy word
before thy glowing eye, Shine through the blue and point me
to the sky. When morning breaks, when earth's
vain shadows flee, Midnight is before the bright red gleam. Thank you.
