How do we know that Jesus is Lord over all?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible affirms Jesus' lordship through prophecies and His sovereign authority as illustrated in Psalm 24 and in His own declarations.

We are assured of Jesus' lordship over all through various scriptural assertions. In Genesis 41, Joseph is made lord over all Egypt, reflecting a type of Christ who is sovereign over God's creation. Psalm 24:1 states, 'The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world and those who dwell therein.' This encompasses the truth that Christ reigns supreme as the sovereign ruler. Moreover, Jesus' own words in Matthew 28:18, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me,' confirm His dominion over all creation. Hence, both Old Testament foreshadowing and New Testament declarations proclaim Jesus as the one true Lord who holds all things in His hands.
