How great Thou art! Then sings my soul, my Savior
God to Thee, How great Thou art! How great Thou art! I always think of Brother Joe
Parks when we sing that hymn, don't you? He chose all the hymns we sang. I just left it up to him. He
always chose good hymns. He chose that one a lot. How fitting that his son would
read right before we sang that. Many titles came to mind in this
message that have to do with the subject. Psalm 107 turned
there, but I came up with this, or the Scriptures speaks of help
for those in trouble. Help for those that are in trouble
or for those who need help in a hurry. In a hurry. David said that help, Lord, in
Psalm 38, the last line, he said, Make haste. I need help and I
need it now. I see that some of you have been
there. Maybe you're there now. I don't
know. But a man that is born a woman is a few days, and Scripture
says, full. Like sparks that fly upward,
he's born to trouble. Trouble starts early and it continues
with us all our days. The psalms are a great help to
those in trouble. Always. If you're in trouble,
you can always turn to the psalms somewhere and find help. I have 150 favorite psalms. But my favorite of the favorites
are Psalm 103, 104, 105, 106, and 107. Psalm 103. Psalm 103. And I thought as I
was preparing this, be careful now, you'll get stuck. Psalm 103. Oh, bless the Lord. Every one of these five that
I mentioned to you, begin and end with bless the Lord, bless
the Lord, begin with it, end with it, bless the Lord. Or thank
the Lord, end with thanksgiving, praise the Lord, end with praise
the Lord. Because of all that he says. And in Psalm 103, he
says, Bless the Lord, O my soul. And he mentions all these things.
And the first thing, Forgiveth all thy iniquities. You know,
we're going to look at creation in Psalm 104, providence in Psalm
105, but the greatest blessing of all, what we'll be singing
about and blessing His name throughout all eternity is for salvation
from sin. This is the blessing. Psalm 103
talks about the Lord who forgiveth. Verse 8 is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, plenteous in mercy. Verse 10, He hadn't dealt with
us after our sins. He hadn't rewarded us according
to our iniquity. Why? Because His mercy is higher than
the heavens. Because your sins have been removed
as far as the east is from the west. And like a father pities
his children. That's why I end this psalm by
saying, Oh, bless the Lord. Psalm 104 is about creation. Oh, the Lord is very great. How
great thou art. Oh, Lord my God. Perhaps that
was written from this psalm. When I, with awesome wonder,
consider all the worlds thy hands have made, then sings my soul,
my God, How great they are. The heavens declare His glory.
The firmament showeth His handiwork. Day unto day others speak. And
Psalm 104 talks about the light, talks about the heavens, talks
about the seas, talks about springs that water the valleys, come
from the hills and everything, grass growing, herbs, food, wine,
whales, everything. Bless the Lord, O my soul, the
great Creator. O what fools! Let's say there
is no God. What blind fool. And what rebels
who worship and serve the creature rather than the Creator. Oh, that's why we should bless
the Lord if we know that He's our Creator. Psalm 105, Psalm
105 tells all that the Lord did for His people. Bless the Lord. Oh, give thanks unto the Lord.
Verse 1, call upon His name. Sing songs unto Him. Glory in
His holy name. Look at verse 2. 6, O ye seed
of Abraham, his servant, ye children of Jacob, his chosen, he is the
Lord our God. Verse 8, he has remembered his
covenant forever, the word he commanded. Verse 9, the covenant
he made with Abraham and Isaac and confirmed it unto Jacob for
a law, for an everlasting covenant. Talking about his people that
he has chosen. Creation is wonderful, oh yeah,
but salvation. How that God, O give thanks,
you chosen seed of Israel's race, you ransom from the fall. The
Lord has made a covenant with Christ concerning you. He said He confirmed it to Jacob.
You know what Jacob's prayer was? You know because it's your
prayer. Jacob said, O Lord, listen, Oh
Lord, I'm not worthy of all the mercies and the truth You've
shown me. I'm not worthy of the truth You
keep showing me. I keep sinning and You keep showing
me the gospel. You keep showing me mercy. You
keep telling me the covenant. You keep remembering. I forget
You and You tell me You'll never forget me. My soul. That's Psalm 105. Psalm 106 starts
out, praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. You, yes
you. Why? Because verse 6, we have sinned
with our fathers. We've committed iniquity. We've
done wickedly. What did your fathers do? They
forgot God. They didn't understand His works.
They remembered not the multitudes of His mercy. And about all they
did to our God was provoke Him. That's Psalm 106. The whole psalm. The whole psalm talks about what?
Psalm 105 talks about all that God has done for us. And Psalm 106 talks about all
that we have done against Him. And that's why it begins and
ends by praising the Lord. We've sinned. All the goodness
and mercy of God to sinners, and yet all that they've done
to Him, all we've done against Him, sinned against His goodness,
we remembered not. These are just some things written
in Psalm 106. We remembered not, provoked Him,
forgot His mercy, lusted exceedingly. tempted the Lord, envied Moses,
got tired of the manna, got tired of Moses, worshipped gold, forgot
God, despised, believed not, yet he bided faith. Angered him,
mingled with the heathen, provoked him. He uses this word twice. Verse 8 of Psalm 106 says, nevertheless. Verse 44, verse 43, many times
did He deliver them, but they provoked Him with their counsel,
bought low for their iniquity, nevertheless. See, where sin
abounded, grace is nevertheless. It's always much more. Your iniquities
are great, but God is greater. His grace is greater than all
our sin. And it says, oh, don't you love
Psalm 106, verse 45, he remembered for them his covenants and turned,
repented according to the multitude of his mercies. Verse 48, oh,
blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting, everlasting,
let all the people say, Amen. Praise the Lord. In Psalm 107. And we're going to use this in
conjunction with what Brother Sam read, Psalm 38. So we're
going to look at them together. It's an amazing one. This tells
Psalm 107 what all trouble they got into, we get into. What all
trouble we get into and cry. And I know what they cried. It
doesn't say what they cried, but I know what they cried. They
cried Psalm 38. This was their cry every time. Only a redeemed sinner knows
about this kind of trouble. You know, if there's ever any
good about troubles with sin, troubles within, it's this. It makes us cry to the Lord.
Our sin troubles makes the gospel of mercy glad tidings. It makes Christ's blood and righteousness
most precious. Go to Psalm 38. Go over there. Psalm 38. It says in Psalm 38, O Lord, rebuke me not
in thy wrath. Remember Moses wrote in Psalm
90, all our years are spent in thy wrath and thine anger. And
God ought to be mad at us, shouldn't He? It's another place where
He said His anger endures just for a moment. But with great
mercy, Lord, chasten me not. And we
need it, don't we? We need it bad in our hot displeasure. Verse 2, your arrows stick fast
in me. That's the Word of God. Oh, we
better hope His arrows do find a place in our heart. And they
stick fast, you know. I read the Scriptures, and the
ones that stick in me the most are about guilty sinners. I'm
guilty. That's the ones that I can't
get out. I forget the ones about mercy
and grace. I forget those, but the ones
that convict me the most just stay in me all the time. David, we preached one time on this,
what the Lord What we can't forget, the Lord
can't remember. Our sins. And what we can't remember,
the Lord can't forget. Mercy and His covenant. David said, My sin is ever before
me. It won't go away. I cannot undo
this. All my life, David spent that
Saul, Paul, All his life he thought of Stephen that he helps Donald. That's why he said, I'm not worthy. I'm less than the least. Oh,
I'm the chief of sinners. He never lost sight of that.
The only thing that would give him any hope is the blood of
the Lord Jesus Christ. The only thing that could cover
such sin that we can't forget, that God can't remember. And it's good, though, that we
don't forget. Else we get lifted up with pride
and fall away and His mercy means nothing. But he said in verse
3 and 4, there is no soundness in my flesh. In my flesh dwelleth
no good thing. Because of your anger, you let
me know about my sin. Verse 4, my iniquities are over
my head, a heavy burden. My flesh stinks, my wound, my
foolishness. I'm a fool. I'm troubled. Sin
trouble. Lord, I'm troubled. About my
soul. About myself. I bowed down greatly. I mourn all the day. My loins
are filled with this disease. No sound is in me. You know, some of you know something
about that, don't you? Back to Psalm 107. Hold Psalm
30. Hold that. It says, Psalm 107, let the redeemed of
the Lord. Give thanks unto the Lord. He's good. He's mercy.
Oh, His greatest good is His mercy. And he's going to talk about
those he found wandering, hungry and thirsty. He called them by
the Gospel and brought them to himself and redeemed them by
the blood of Christ. He's so good. He sent out His
watchdogs of goodness and mercy to find them. They came in the
message of the Gospel to these wandering Verse 3, they gathered
him from the east and the west. Verse 4, they wandered in the
wilderness in a solitary way, no city, hungry and thirsty. And they cried, Whosoever shall
call on the name of the Lord, shall be saved. And they cried.
And the Lord heard them and delivered them out of their distresses. Verse 8 and verse 7, He led them
forth by the right way to go to a city of habitation. Oh,
my. Sent them to where the gospel
is, where Christ is preached, a city of refuge. Made them a
part of the fold. Gave them food. Oh, verse 8,
that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, His wonderful
works to the children of men. He satisfies a longing soul,
fills a hungry soul with goodness. That prodigal in the pole pen,
eating husks, didn't know it. The Lord made him hungry, thirsty,
guilty. Brought him back to the Father's
house. Killed a fatted calf for that unworthy fellow. And he
sat down and it was the best meal he had ever eaten. And those words that the Father
said to him were the sweetest note in Sarah's song. Bring the
robe and cover him. Bring the ring and put it on
him. My son. This is my son. That's the gospel to the prodigal
son. But once again, we find ourselves
in darkness. Look at verse 10 of Psalm 107. Such as sit in darkness. and
shadow of death, bound in affliction and ire." Why? Because they rebelled
against the words of God and condemned or treated with contempt
the word, the will, the counsel of the Most High. Therefore,
He brought down their heart with labor. Laboring and heavy laden. A burden. Heavy burden on them. In the darkness and dead because
of sin. We get down like that, don't
we? Brought down. Brought down their heart. They
fell down. Have you ever fallen down so
low when you think I'm never going to rise again. I have. I've gotten so far down, so many
times, so low that I thought I will never rise again. Because of troubles, yes, sorrows,
worries, fears and all, but mostly, mostly because of my own sin
and rebellion. And verse 13 says, then they
cried. You know, I really don't believe
we ever really cry, cry until we get so far down. or we can't
get any lower. Then you cry. You never really
pray until you're brought down. Have you ever been brought so
far down? I know, you know, troubles, yes, I've lost many, many, many
nights sleep over worries and fears and troubles and so on
and so forth, but this constant battle and struggle with myself
has brought me so low, so far down, that I could not get any
lower. Have you ever literally been
on the floor where you thought, I need to get lower? And that's when you cry. And look at it. And every time,
you know, I'm standing here before you this morning to tell you,
that no matter how low you get, if you cry, He'll raise you up. Yes, He will. He saved them out
of their distresses. Have you ever been in distress?
Distress means that you can't help yourself. You can't save
yourself. There's nothing you can do. You're in distress. If
somebody doesn't help me, I'm going to die. Psalm 38, go back
there. Psalm 38, we just read that,
where David said, my iniquities, verse 4, have gone over my head. I'm drowning. I'm drowning in
sorrow. I'm drowning in shame. I'm drowning
in guilt. I'm going down. Peter, when he
was sinking, oh, he cried. And the Lord answered him. In darkness, have you ever been
in a dark hole? Sure you have. In darkness, no light, you think,
I can't see any light at the end of this tunnel. There's no hope for me. But then
they cried and He saved them. He saved them. Brought them out
of darkness into His marvelous light. What is His marvelous
light? What is the light that the Lord brings us? Sinner and
darkness of sin and despair and shame and guilt and sorrow and
worries and fears and doubts and concern over their soul.
What is the light? It's the light of the knowledge
of the glory of God. Our greatest sin is sinning against
mercy. Well, His greatest glory is mercy
for a sinner. Our greatest sin is sin against
mercy and goodness. But His greatest goodness, Bonnie,
is mercy and goodness for sinners. He said, I'll make all my goodness
pass before you. See how bad you are, Psalm 106?
See how bad you are? Well, look how good I am. As
bad as you are, I'm better. Can I say this without sounding
flippant? You can't out-sin God's mercy. I hope that didn't sound irreverent. I meant that to be for His glory
and for our comfort. You can't out-sin His mercy. You can't do too much that He
won't forgive. Boy, that's good news. David, the whole Psalm 38 is
talking about that. He's not talking about anybody
not blaming anybody but himself, is he? He wrote Psalm 38 after
Psalm 51. Psalm 51. If that's not your favorite,
I don't think you've heard the Gospel. He wrote Psalm 38 after Psalm
51. Maybe you're thinking right now,
Preacher, what have you done lately? Well, nothing more than
usual. Right? You know what I'm talking
about. And then they cried. He delivered
them out of darkness. Verse 15 of Psalm 107 says, Oh,
that men... Verse 14, He break the bands
and sunder. You know, doubts and fears and
worry are like bonds, bondage. You're down in the dungeon. Pilgrim and his friend were in
the doubting castle down in the dungeon of despair. They were
down there and they thought, we'll never get out. We're never
going to get out. We're getting what we deserve.
The Lord warned them, and they did exactly what He told them
not to do. Fell asleep in Vanity Fair, you
know, and got all caught up in idolatry, and ended up in Doubting
Castle in the dungeon of despair and in bonds and chains of darkness. And they thought, we'll never
get out of here, and it's because of our foolishness. And Pilgrim. The Lord brought to his mind
and said, Pilgrim, There's a key in your bosom. You've got a key in your bosom
wrapped around your neck that you've forgotten about that will
unlock the chains and you can just walk out free as a bird. And he looked and said, there
it is. What is it? Faith. With the heart, man believeth
unto righteousness. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ
and you'll be saved, not only from sin forever, but from doubt,
from fear, from worry, from distress. I've sinned too much. There's
a key right here. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, you know, turn over a new
leaf. Go ahead. Try. You should. Go and sin no
more. Go and sin no more. Lest the
worst thing come on you. Lest you think, I've done it
again. Now His mercy is clean gone. Oh, but bless the Lord. John wrote in 1 John 2, these
things are right unto you, brethren, lest you sin not. Can you quote
the rest of it? And if any man sin, we have an
Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ. What kind of sin, preacher? All
manner of sin shall be forgiven. Out of darkness into His marvelous
light. Oh, that men should praise the
Lord for His goodness. Why do we meet here? You don't have to ask sinners
to come worship. You don't have to ask redeemed
sinners, forgiven sinners to come worship. Verse 22, let them sacrifice
unto the Lord. Oh, you don't have to tell them
to thank Him, declare His works. Well, you do, really. Verse 32,
let them exalt Him in the congregation of the people. We're just a bunch
of sinners met together to praise the Lord. But what fools we are,
aren't we? Verse 17, fools. Fools! You know what a fool is? He just
doesn't have much wisdom, does he? He may have some knowledge,
but knowledge won't make you wise. There's no fool quite like
a fool who has knowledge and doesn't know what to do with
it. We get right back into the very
place that we thought we'd never get out. Verse 17, because of their transgression,
because of their iniquities, afflicted. And you get so low
and so bad, you abhor all manner of meat, you draw near to the
gates of death. You thought this is it now. This
is it. Every believer, every sinner
saved by grace goes through constant near-death experiences. Near-death experiences. It gets
so low that you think, well, he's going to kill me now. You
don't want to talk about it. Near-death experience. You think,
well, he's going to kill me now. Like Manoah. You know why Manoah
thought the Lord was going to kill him? You know why he thought? Because of his sin. And every believer, constantly,
Up and down, up and down. Living a victorious life, one
minute. Life more abundant. Can't praise
Him high enough, full of faith. That's mostly when we're sitting
here. And then the next day, we're so low and so dark, and
we're dead. And we think, it's over. No. It's over. You're dead. That's
why David cried, hurry. Lord, hurry. You've got to help
me in a hurry. Look back at Psalm 38. Go back there again. I was actually
going to preach from Psalm 38, 39, and 40. But Psalm 38 made me think of
Psalm 107. And then I saw the connection.
But Psalm 38, look at this. David says in verse 8, oh, these
people, this is such good. Read it again for yourself. Verse
8, I'm broken, feeble, weak, roaring. Verse 9, Lord, my desire
is before Thee, my groaning. Groanings that cannot be uttered.
The Lord hears us. It's like that woman caught in
adultery. She wasn't saying anything. She
never uttered a word. She was groaning. The Lord heard
her heart. Her heart, she was roaring. Her
heart was roaring. Help me. Save me. Verse 10, my
heart panteth. My strength fails. My light's
gone. It's all gone from me. Verse
11, and nobody knows what I'm going through. You can be going
through this and nobody be aware of it. And I'll tell you who
is. The Lord is. And that, oh, the tempter. Verse
12, the snares he's laid for me. Mischievous things. And you don't know what to say.
You're deaf. Verse 13. Have you ever thought about these
words as the Word of Christ Himself? They are. He was made sin. He cried, Oh my God, why hast
Thou forsaken me? He became sin. He was touched
with a feeling of iron firmness. You know why? Because he was
made sin. He knew this. He was made. And do you know why God will
not forsake us? Do you know why God will not
forsake us? Not because of anything you ever do or say. Not because
of anything you ever do or say. Not because of anything you ever
do or say. He is going to do it for Christ's
sake. Because we do, we say and do
not. Because then we do, maybe, but
then we end up doing it not again. We go right back. What's our
hope? Christ! Verse 16, verse 15, Oh my, in thee, O Lord,
do I hope And he gathered a little hope
like lamentations of fire. Thou wilt hear. You will hear
me. I know you will. That's not presumption, is it?
I know you'll hear me. You have before and you don't
change. Oh, Lord, my God. Verse 17, I'm
ready to halt. My sorrows continue before me.
Lord, I declare mine iniquity. You know the only confession
that's good for the soul is confession to God, to Christ. He's the only one that can deliver
you from that guilt and that sin, that shame and that despair.
He's the only one that can say to you, your sins be forgiven
you. The only one that can speak peace to your heart. Not your
brother. They've got their own sins. And
he declared, I'll be sorry for my sin. I will. Oh, my enemies. Lord, I can say that I will not
do this again. I can say I'm sorry, but I might
just do it again. Because my enemy, verse 19, he's
strong. He's stronger than me. Did you
read the article by, who was it, Thomas Boston, the quote?
He said, unless someone stronger than He undertakes for you, you're no
match. And He hath said, I'll never
leave you. Oh, that's why He said, verse
21, Forsake Me not, O Lord My God, be not far from Me. Verse
21, Oh, don't leave Me. Make haste to help Me. You ought
to leave Me, Lord, but please don't leave Me. Turn over to
Psalm 40. One time I was reading Psalm
38, and I left the Bible open on the desk, and I went to bed
in sorrow. I went to bed in sorrow. And I woke up the next morning.
Now, this happened. I woke up the next morning, and
I went back to the desk where the Bible was, And something
had turned the page. The air conditioner, the fan,
I don't know. But someone flipped the page. And the first thing I read was
Psalm 40. I waited patiently for the Lord.
He inclined unto me and heard my cry. He brought me up also
out of a horrible pit into miry clay, and He set my feet on a
rock." What's a rock He sets your feet on when you're ready
to slip, when you're ready to halt? What's a rock that He brings
you back and sets your feet on solid ground? All other ground
is sinking sand. Christ the solid rock. You know
what the hope of this center is? It's Jesus Christ. It was a hope when I first came
to Him as a sinner, a young sinner, and it's the hope I have now
as the worst sinner on earth. And you know what? It's a good
hope. Ask Mary Magdalene. Ask Saul of Tarsus. Ask the thief
on the cross. who are right now praising Him
who hath loved us and washed us from our sins His own blood.
No mention of anything or anyone but Him. Him. In Psalm 107, and I've got to
hurry. In Psalm 107, I was actually
going to try to go through the whole thing, but if I could quit
right now, it would be alright. But it says, verse 19, They came
near to death. Didn't they cry unto the Lord
in their trouble? He saved them out of their distresses. How?
How did He save them out of their distresses? He sent His Word
and healed them and delivered them. His Word. Except Thy Word had been my help.
David said, I would have perished. Oh, remember, O Lord, Thy Word
unto me upon which Thou hast caused me to hope. Your promises. I read that again with Jacob's
prayer. And you know what he kept praying
to the Lord? Lord, You said. That's what Jacob kept saying
to the Lord. You said that You'd bring me back. You said You'd
never leave me. That's right after Jacob left
him. And that Word is Christ. That
Word is the Gospel of Christ. That's the rock upon which we
need to stand. His oath, His covenant, His blood,
that will support you in this overwhelming flood of your sins
and sorrows. If you're looking for a miracle, you're getting one right now. I've been going through one of
the toughest things I've ever gone through for years. You might
not be aware of it. And I've been asking for a miracle.
And every time, the Lord sends His Word. That's
what helps me every time. And I may not be aware of it,
but it may be happening right before my eyes. See, miracles
often happen slowly. You've got to be aware of it. But this is a miracle. This is
the only help you'll get. There's no help anywhere else.
No matter what you're going through, His Word, if He sends His Word,
it will heal you. It will heal you. See, our loins
are filled with a loathsome disease. I've never had the doctor tell
me, you've got cancer. I have some loved ones who have.
It's devastating. Some people in here have heard
that. Loved ones. It's worse on the
loved ones to hear that. But I have, and I've been, I've
had times where I thought I had it. It's like our daughter, you
know, recently was going through something, you know, and it's
worse, those you love, it really is worse when you're worrying
about them. But she was worrying that the Lord was going to take
her, and Mindy kept saying, no, He's not. No, He's not. How can you be so sure? Because
she said, you don't have dying grace. You're too worried. You think about the wisdom of
that. You're too worried. If he sends it, he'll give grace.
He's promised to give it. I've watched the beloved of the
Lord. He giveth his beloved sleep,
doesn't he, Nancy? He gives them grace. I've watched
believer after believer die. He gives them grace. It's those
that are left behind that are torn all to pieces. They have to live forever. Their
moment, Joe's sickness, was briefly for a time, and it's gone! It's
gone! It's gone! Hooker had brief pain,
and it was over, and everlasting joy of body. But we live on with
it, don't we? You live on with it. Sorrow,
you can't get away from it. What's your hope? What does He
send to heal you? And every stormy wind that blows,
the next verse talks about, He sendeth, He raises the stormy
wind. These are troubles that maybe
you didn't get yourself into, but troubles all around, mounting
troubles all around. And your soul is melted because
of that trouble. Verse 26, and you reel to and
fro. You've been there. Stagger like
a drum. You're at your wit's end. You know, coming to your
wit's end is a good place to come to. Jehoshaphat and his
family and all Israel were standing before the Lord. Standing before
the Lord. They thought it was all over. And Jehoshaphat said, we don't
know what to do. And he said, our eyes look to
thee. And you know what the Lord did?
You know what he did? Not immediately. He didn't send
an earthquake and swallow up all of the enemies. He didn't send some great miracle
right then and there. You know what he did? He sent
a preacher. 2 Chronicles 20. He sent a preacher, a young man.
And it's the only message he ever preached. But Jehoshaphat
thought, it's the greatest preacher I've ever heard. And it was a
message of mercy. And here was the message. Stand
still and see the salvation of God. You won't need to fight.
You don't need to fight. The battle is not yours. It's the
Lord's. He said, just rejoice, because it's over before it started. And so Jehoshaphat said, well,
now, let's say, and he tells the people, let's just start
singing it. I believe you, preacher. So let's just start rejoicing
and praising the Lord. And they did. And you know what
it says? It says, the Lord slew all their enemies. What killed
all their enemies was they started rejoicing. God blessed the Lord. In spite
of themselves, in spite of their sin, in spite of their enemies,
in spite of what the future may hold, they believed the Lord. And the Lord sent a miracle. They that understand this, the
last verse of Psalm 107 says, those that consider this well,
The last verse says, they shall understand. Those that observe
these things well, those that hear this with diligence, they'll
understand the loving kindness of the Lord. God, those He loves,
they can't get too far down. He won't find them. But those
He loves, the Son, will you ever quit loving? That
rebel son, Kelly, will you ever let that man in? Will there ever
be a time that you come in? You're looking at one. There
will never be a time in your life that if he came back to
you and asked you for mercy, that you would say, I'm not going
to take it. That's me. That's you. Bless the Lord. Oh, my soul. Okay, let's sing. From every
stormy wind. Number 355. John, if you'll come. 355. From every stormy wind that blows,
from every sway There is a calm, assured retreat,
Tis found beneath the mercy seat. There is a place where Jesus
died, He showed of gladness Place than all beside more sweet
the blood-bought birds. Sing the fourth verse. Ah, whither
could we flee for aid when tempted, desolate? the host of heavenly peace. Suffering saints, no mercy seeks. On their only request, Say it's more left, no more,
and heaven comes down, our souls to grieve. Our glory crowns the
mercy king.
