The sermon before the sermon. That verse says, Here I raise
mine Ebenezer. You know what that means? You've heard of some congregations
called Ebenezer Baptist Church or Ebenezer. It's a good name.
That's a good name. That comes from 1 Samuel 7 where
the Philistines were pursuing the Israelites, and Samuel was
the prophet, and the Lord delivered them from the hands of the Philistines,
and Samuel took a stone, a big rock, and set it up, and he called
it Ebenezer, hitherto by thy health. We've come. By your grace, by your mercy,
we've been delivered. And he put this big stone, this
big rock, as an emblem of God's grace and God's help. It's by
this rock. Here I raise, here we raise our
Ebenezer. No other way. Hitherto, by the
grace of God, we've come. All right. Matthew chapter 6.
That's a free little message there right before you. Matthew 6 in verse 33 is our
text. Verse 33, the Lord says, But
seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and
all these things shall be added unto you. Seek ye first the kingdom
of God. and his righteousness, and all
these things shall be added unto you." Now, before we look at
what this kingdom of God is and his righteousness, let's look
at these things. The Lord had been talking here,
been speaking to his disciples. This is to his people, believers. because he keeps telling them,
Your Father, Your Father, Your Father. Right? Your Father. He's talking to
believers. He's not talking to the world.
When he prayed to the Father, he said, I pray not for the world,
but for them which thou hast given me. And he says to believers,
Your Father knoweth that you have need of these things. What things? There is no evil in things. Would you turn with me to Romans
chapter 14? The scripture says this in 1
Timothy 6, verse 17. It says, God giveth us richly
all things to enjoy. If you read the book of Ecclesiastes
for yourself, from start to finish. It's telling us about what God
has given us to enjoy. And there's no evil in enjoying
things. Our Lord made it clear that evil
was when you treasure these things. Because He said where your treasure
is, that which you really value more than anything else. That's
what a treasure is. Evil being, whatever you value
the most, that's your treasure. That's where your heart will
be. And he says, that's why, you
know, that's why he says covetousness is idolatry, because thou shalt
love the Lord thy God with all thy heart. Nothing else sharing
it. Nothing, no one. But there is no evil in things,
and this needs to be said. Romans 14, look at verse 14. I know, Paul the Apostle, his
words here are infallible. This is the word of God. He says,
I know and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing
unclean of itself. Nothing. Did you see that? Verse 20, look down at verse
20. For meat destroy not the work of God. Now, he's been telling
the Roman believers that no thing is worth offending of the people,
especially our brethren. No thing, your liberty, what
you do It's not worth offending others, so lay it aside if you
think it's going to be an offense. But he said, no thing is evil.
Evil sin is not in a thing. Brother Barnard used to say,
sin is not in a bottle or a box or a plant. Who created plants? Which plants? All plants. Verse 20 says, All things indeed
are pure. Do you see that? All things indeed
are pure. Our Lord one time absolutely
shocked the religious people of His day. Shocked them. When He turned to them. Now,
you know He always ate and drank with the common people. Sat with
them at their weddings, their feasts, and so forth. And it's not necessarily a good thing
for us, because we're not infallible like him, and those things can
have an effect on us. You understand? Not him. He cannot
be touched by it. But nevertheless, he did. He
was found eating and drinking his wine with publicans and his
common old harlots. And the Pharisees, even his disciples
one time, you remember in John chapter 4 when they saw him talking
to that woman at the well, they marveled that he was talking
with her. They couldn't believe he was talking to her. They got a little self-righteous
in this thing. Peter and a bunch of fishermen. I meet a bunch of foul-mouthed
longshoremen and they said, I can't believe he's talking to her.
Peter, it's a marvel that he talked with you. It's salvation,
Peter, that he came and talked to you. Anything to do with you. You're just as sinful as her. But he turned to those bunch
of Pharisees one time, and he said, now you listen to me. This
is what he said. He said, you listen to me. He
had ears to hear. There's nothing, he said, that
goeth into the mouth. that defileth a man. And the Pharisees and all those
scribes and Sadducees and they, you know, liquor had never touched
their lips and they had never worn shorty shorts and, you know,
stuff like that. And they just, that fell over
backward, caught their hearts. He wasn't talking to them. He's
talking to his people. He said, now you listen to me.
There's nothing Now, he's not giving us a license to abuse
our bodies or abuse things. He's not doing that at all, is
he? He's just telling us there's no sin or evil in a thing. He said, you can't defile a man. He goes out and regrets. He'll
be sorry he did it if he overdid it. He'll be sorry, whether it's
food or drink or whatever. He'll be real sorry about it.
He'll pay the consequences. Yes, he will. But that's not
going to send his soul to hell. That which is flesh is flesh,
and it goes out in the draft, out of the heart of the issues
of life, because out of the heart proceedeth forth attitudes, motives,
sins in the heart. Sin's not in a bottle. Sin's
in the heart. Sin's in the nature. A man's
not a drunk because he drinks. He drinks because he's a drunk. You understand that? And we call
it today He's a victim of circumstance. He's got a disease. Yeah, right.
He has got a disease. He's a rotten sinner. But don't blame it on the bottle. And this is not a sermon to promote
Jack Daniels. Not at all. But I'll tell you
this, Confederate soldiers sure glad there was a little white
lightning around when they were having their legs sawed off. Sin's not a good thing. Not everything. God giveth us
richly all things. Well, look at her. She's world,
but she's enjoying that thing. God giveth us all things richly
to enjoy. You don't want your children
to enjoy things? Huh? Do you get aggravated when they're
enjoying themselves? Well, some do, don't they? Religious
people, that's who. Religious people. Don't do that,
son. Don't have fun. It's worldly to have fun. Well, I've got to go on. All
these things. Your Father knoweth you have
need of these things. These things. But what he's saying.
Now, go back to the text in Matthew 6. And I don't want to preach
offensively, but that's freedom. It's freedom. Religion is bondage. The Lord said, if the Son sets
you free, you're free indeed. You don't know these rules and
regulations and laws, touch not, taste not, handle not, that men
set forth. The Lord never set forth these
rules. Whatever He sayeth, you do it. Okay? And He said, my
yoke is easy, my burden is light. What doth the Lord require of
thee but to love Him and love your brethren? All right? In Matthew 6, now go back to
Matthew 4, Matthew chapter 4. Now he's talking about the kingdom,
the kingdom. And our Lord said in one place,
you listen to this, our Lord said, My kingdom is not of this
world. Now that's important. That's important. My kingdom
is not of this world. Well, better save your mother.
Save planet Earth. Save your mother. Be involved
in saving the... Don't abuse the Earth. Don't
pollute the Earth. But I'm telling you, it's going
down. It's going down. It's not going to last. It's
not my mother anyway. Nature is not my mother. Doris Mayhem is. And this world is not my provider.
God is. Well, the kingdom, he said, my
kingdom is not of this world. If it were, he said, we'd fight.
We'd fight for it. We would be involved in it. We
would be entangled in it. We would be taken up with all
of the issues of the world. No, it's not of this world. Let
the world have the world. Now, our God became a man. God Almighty became a man. And being a man, he had need
of certain things, did he not? Yes, Hebrews talks about our
Lord living by faith. He never performed one miracle
to provide for his own needs. He worked. earn money to pay for his food,
and so forth and so forth. And others, you know, he had
need of things. He depended on his Heavenly Father
to provide these things, certain things. He was tempted in all
points, like as we are. You know, our Lord was tempted.
We have not a high priest who cannot be touched for the feeling
of our infirmities," Paul said. But he was tempted in all points,
like as we are, yet without sin. He was tempted. Look at this.
In Matthew 4, verses 8 and 9, the devil taketh him up, taketh
Christ up into an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all
the kingdoms of the world and the glory of them, the fame of
them, the riches of them, the beauty of them, Just the kingdom,
everything that the world has to offer. Now, I don't pretend
to understand this completely, where Satan took him and how
he could, but that's not important. The fact is, he did, okay? The
Lord allowed this to go on, and I believe for our learning to
show up. Look at this, verse 9. Satan
said unto him, all these things Will I give unto thee, if thou
fall down and worship me?" Our Lord said, Satan, it's written,
Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou
serve. Let me see if I can illustrate this for us. Our Lord was tempted
with these things. Now, Satan didn't have these
things to give to him. You understand? But he is called
the God of this world. He tempted, yea, deceived the
first woman with things, with a thing, did he not? A flesh, he tempted the flesh
with a thing. I was riding in an airplane somewhere,
I forget where, maybe perhaps going to Mexico the last time,
but I remember looking out, and before we got above the clouds,
And this verse of scripture just came to my mind. All these things will I give
you. And I was looking out over, when
you rise above the earth in an airplane, you can see for miles,
you know, and you can see many things. I saw, I looked at the
kingdoms, the glories, the beauties, the desires, the wants, the things
which the world coveted. that I like out there. Whatever
anybody wants and likes, I saw it. There was the ocean out there
with all of those sandcastles, you know, on the vacation homes
that people just live to die in. Anyway, it was oceanfront
property, beautiful to the view. I like the ocean. I love the
ocean. Don't you? It's beautiful. I enjoy going
there. Well, there's that. And then,
look, there's a farm, a huge farm. It was obviously a horse
farm. There was fences everywhere and a huge barn, you know. Nice
barn. My wife said, the barn's looking
kind of shabby. It's a nice barn, I thought.
Oh, boy. I'd like to have that. Look at that. Wow. I'd like to
have that. You know, that's nice. Then over
here is a big city, and we flow over a big city, and you know
what all the city has to offer. Oh, man, a nightlife, restaurants,
and Broadway, and plays, and entertainment, and oh, look,
here's a city, a farm, a city, there's an ocean, all these things
that I give you. Just forget God. Go after them, and they're yours. Well, let me tell you what the
Lord said about these things in our text here. These things,
now remember, there's nothing evil in these things. I believe
there's going to be a city in heaven. He says so. Great city, Jerusalem,
New Jerusalem coming down. There'll be many enjoyments,
there'll be things, yes there will. Our Lord created everything
on this earth, and he put man in it to enjoy it, and man was
without sin. And God said, this is good. This
is very good. And whatever God calls good,
it's good. Don't let anybody say it's not.
Don't let any woman or, you know, holier-than-thou tell you you're
God-made. But don't let your heart be taken
back. Treasures. Treasures. He said here, and look at verse
19 about these things. He says, let not up for yourselves
treasures. You know, store up. You're treasuring.
Oh, you're treasuring with desires and pursuits and with your affection. You're setting your affection
on things. Because look at this. Here's what these things are.
Moth and rust. A little thing like a moth. Ladies,
you've got a favorite garment. He got a new dress, perhaps.
Maybe you're wearing it. One little bug will make that
thing look like rag. It's not worth gloating over
or crying about. It's a piece of cloth, that's
what it is. It's a piece of cloth. It was a thread. Read on. Uh, this hits home. Uh, that automobile you drive,
we drive, I drive, that car, that beautiful, you know, whatever
it is. Whatever it is, whatever make
it is. Don't, it's metal. It's a piece of metal. I tell you how bad, how dangerous
it can be. Let one scratch get on it. And
what happens? Should a piece of metal cause
us endless grief? Let's put it in context. It's
a hunk of metal. That's it. And everybody in here,
everybody needs to go down to shredded products. You know what shredded products
is? It's an automobile scrapyard. Mac, I took a car down there
the other day, an old beat-up car. I've got about four more
I need to take there. Anyway, you can't believe it. People, you can't believe it.
You can't believe the number of cars. Can you, Steve? You've
been there. We're talking thousands and thousands of cars. You know
what they all look like? And, Steve, I appreciate this. I saw a bumper of a 57 Chevy. There's an old Cadillac in El
Dorado, about a 59-60 carat. I mean, collector's item. It's
worth hundreds of thousands. No, it's a piece of junk now.
But, Rick, I saw it. I said, look at that old man.
It's been crushed up. Every one of them will be, eventually. Let's get a little closer to
home, okay? Flesh. It's flesh. It's dying. It's dying. Look at you. Look at your gray
hair. Look at your no hair. Look at the wrinkles. What does
that mean? Man's going to his long haul.
You can't hold on to anybody. And flesh, let me tell you about
this, everything, everything Well, here's the next point I
want to bring up. Our Lord said, the cares of this
world, or that is, the thing that the world cares about, and
the deceitfulness of riches, and the lust or desires of other
things. The deceitfulness of riches.
Listen to me. Things promise what they can't
deliver. That's what deceitful means.
When you deceive someone, you promise something and you can't
deliver it. You lie. Deceitful. He talked
about the deceitfulness of riches, whatever it may be, whoever it
may be, that will not deliver, will not give you the thing that
you hoped for. Happiness, you know, we look
for Happiness, that's what the world is in pursuit of. Happiness,
joy, nothing, no thing. Like I said, that car, you know,
that you're so in joy right now, one little scratch will give
you sorrow, not joy. And when the insurance payment
comes in, you think, why did I buy that thing in the first
place? Huh? The finest home. There's been
a flock of woodpeckers pecking on my house. I thought, I'll build this log
house, real nice log house out of wood. Well, Woodpecker said,
yee-haw. Great, let's treat him. I said,
okay. Oh, Woodpecker. And not only
keep me awake, but give me anguish, you know. Oh, Woodpecker. I'll never watch Woody Woodpecker. Relationships. Relationships. Flesh is going to disappoint
you. That's what flesh is good for. You know, that's what flesh
is good for, mostly, disappointing you, giving you heartache and
grief and disappointment and hurt. You know, the only ones
in the flesh that will give you any real joy and happiness are
those in Christ. Those believers in Christ now,
though they're in the flesh, and though they will at times
themselves give you some pain, and you will them. Yet, now that's
the only relationship that I'm here to tell you that you need
to nurture that's going to last. That's the only relationship
that's going to last. Those in Christ. That's going to last
forever. Nurture it now. But don't be surprised if the
rest of these relationships give you such heartache and pain. A woman wants to get married,
and she does. She gets married, and oh, Paul
said there's trouble in the flesh. It's trouble. When a man and
a woman get together and live together, it's hard. And if they
both don't know Christ, it's nearly impossible. for it to
last. And then a woman wants a son
or a child. Oh, this child is going to bring
me great joy. Maybe. Maybe. You might have more heartache
than you've ever known in your life. Enjoy it. Thank God for it. Don't set your heart on it. Don't
hold on to it like, this is all my life. It's a dying thing. Somebody said this, roses are
beautiful. Roses are just beautiful. God made them. Why? To enjoy. Look at it. Hold up there. Huh? What'll happen? Brother Scott Richardson said,
don't hold on to something so tight that God has to break your
fingers to get it loose. That's pain. You have to break
your finger. The Lord gave. The Lord take
it away. It doesn't mean we can't sorrow,
but you won't sorrow as those who have no hope, who have no
enlightenment, no understanding. Well, these are deceitful, deceitful. Back to, you're at Matthew 6.
Matthew 6. Matthew chapter 6. Now, verse
33, our Lord says this, but now, seek ye first the kingdom of
God and his righteousness. And all
these things will be added to you. Seek ye first the kingdom
of God and his righteousness. Now, look at each word. Everyone who has a Bible, look
at it again. Seek ye first. Who's he talking to? Ye. Thee and me. Yes, ye. Who? You. I'm here, aren't I? Me. Seek ye first. You have to seek it. The person
beside you can't seek it for you. Your parents, whoever it
may be. Seek ye. Whoever it may be. You seek. You can't seek for
someone else. You've got to seek you. Don't
be thinking right now, as I pray, don't be thinking, oh, I hope
so-and-so is hearing it. You seek it. Understand? You seek it. I'm not there yet. We're not
there yet. I haven't arrived yet. Seek.
Seek ye. Seek. What does it mean to seek?
Have you ever really sought something? I mean, have you ever really
looked for something? What do you all like? I don't
know. I've told you this before. I
was out in the stall, Molly's stall, and at the time I had
straw all over the floor, straw. And I was nailing some stuff
up on the wall, you know, poof. Oh no, a needle in a haystack. Honestly, a nail in a haystack. I've got to find it. Molly's
going to step on that nail. I don't want her stepping on
that nail. I've got to find that nail. Oh, you know, maybe she'll
step on it, maybe she won't. No. I'm going to find that nail. I looked for about three hours,
sifting through. I was seeking. When you seek
something, you keep looking until you find it, right? That's what
it means to seek. It means to diligently go after
and find. Lord save me. Go on. No, no. Keep seeking. Did I find the
nail? I sure did. You seek, so seek
ye first. First. First. Seek him first. First. Christ's will before my
own. Seek Christ's people before my
own family. This applies to everything. Seek
ye first before any pursuit, before anything else, before
my own pleasure, before my own desire, before my own needs,
before my own rights, seek ye first the kingdom of God and
his righteousness. Our Lord said, not my will be
done. He's the only one that could have said, my will be done. Couldn't he? He did in John 17,
didn't he? He prayed, I will. What was his
will? That they, it was for others. This is what I will, what I will,
that they be with me. But he said, not my will, but
thy will be done. Not my rights, not my family,
not this and the other, but the cause of the kingdom. Seek ye first the kingdom before
my own, anything to do with myself. Listen to this very carefully.
In Christ's kingdom, in Christ's kingdom, all serve the king and
his court. kingdom, all serve the king and
his court. Anybody serving themselves might
not be in it. That's serious in it. Seek ye
first. What is this kingdom? What is
this kingdom of God? Seek ye first before anything
or anyone. Oh, how vital this is to the
young and old. before anything or anyone, you
better seek the kingdom. What is the kingdom of God? Look at Luke 17 with me. Luke chapter 17. Is it heaven? No. It is not. It's not a place. You've heard
me say so many times, it's not a carnal continuation of the
earth. A carnal utopia. Our Lord just
said that. Your treasure is not things.
The thing you're looking for is not a thing. The kingdom of God. Heaven. Is
it a place? No. Listen to the word, all right? Listen to the word. Kingdom. Out of that word, you get the
king's dominion. Okay? What comes first? What is the first thing in that
word? King. His dominion. The dominion of the king. Seek
ye first the king, and to be under his dominion. Now do you understand? Seek ye
first the king, and to be in his dominion. The king. The king's dominion. Isn't it ironic? There's a place
over in, is it in Virginia? Yeah, over on the east. That's
what it's named, King's Dominion. And ironically, religion, listen,
religion has made the pursuit of God and heaven and so forth
to be like a place of fun and games and entertainment, just
like the King's Dominion. And that's what they do. Isn't
that ironic? That's exactly what they make
religion to be. Fun and games and entertainment,
and it's not, you don't have to be serious, just love Jesus.
Oh boy, they make it like an amusement park. Look at Luke
17, verse 20 and 21. Our Lord said that when he was
demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come,
when's the kingdom coming? He said the kingdom of God comes
not with observation. verse 21. He wouldn't fit. He sits on the
earth. He sits on the throne of glory.
Don't be looking for him to build a temple over him. What if they
do? Christ is not coming to that. He said he's already set his
king on his holy hill of Zion. His temple, his people, his church,
he's sitting right now on the throne. He has a temple. It's not to be seen. Well, it
cometh not with observation. Look at this. This is the spirit
of what he's saying. Verse 21, Behold, the kingdom
of God is within you. And the margin, it also says,
among you. In other words, the king, when's
the kingdom coming? He's here. They were looking for this and
looking, even the disciples. Remember, Nancy, the disciples,
the Lord, show us the Father. You're looking at him. Show us the way, show us a miracle,
show us a sign. I'm the sign. The kingdom is a person. He said, I'm here. The King is
here, and I have dominion. He has given me authority over
all things. Seek ye first Christ, the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness. Are you with me? What is the
righteousness of God? Christ, Romans 10.4, is the end
of the law for righteousness. Surely shall one say, In the
Lord have I righteousness. Isaiah 45. Jehovah Sidkenu. Christ, the righteousness of
God. Oh, I want to be in heaven. Sure, everybody wants to be in
heaven. Nobody wants to be in hell. I want to be in Christ. That's
what Paul said. I want to be found in him. Whom
have I in heaven but thee? Seek ye first the King, and to
be under his dominion." Listen to this, listen very carefully.
Let me have your attention, all right? I'm going to quit. I am
going to quit. The King and his dominion, his
reign, his rule, in him every person in here lives and moves
and has their being. Every person in here is breathing
breath because Jesus Christ said, you breathe, right now breathe. No, no, no, no, my lungs are—your
lungs? Well, let's just stop a minute
and think about this stuff. You've got something in your
flesh that keeps it living. It's called blood, right? It's
coursing through your veins. The life of the flesh is in the
blood. How is that blood running through your veins? Tell me how. There's an organ in the
middle of your chest. It's a piece of flesh. It's called
a heart, all right? It's like the oil pump on a car.
It's infinitely more marvelous and lasts much longer, all right?
That pumps blood through your body, which gives life to you.
It pumps the blood to your brain to make you think. What it ought
to make you think is, who's pumping this heart? You don't have a battery. There's
not an electrical outlet you're hooked to. This thing just keeps
going. Who's doing it? The God in whom
you live and move and have your being. Until one day, God says,
I'm taking my breath back. Stop. And all the nurses and
all the doctors pumping on your chest as long as they can won't
bring it back again. You've got God's heart in your
chest. You better seek Him. Should not
a people seek to their Creator? The ox knows his owner. The ass
knows his master's Creator. Every morning I wake up, those
horses, dogs, cats, every one of my creatures are standing
waiting on me. Master! Are we the higher Are we a higher
life form? Oh, no, we're not. We're less
than the beasts. Should not the creature seek
to know its Creator? Here I got, well, my dog, my dumb, stupid dog,
and that's all a dog is, is a dumb, stupid canine. Really, they're
not as smart as we think they are. Cats are dumber. Yeah, they are. Anyway, my dumb, stupid dog wants,
all it seeks is to know what I want. That's what my dumb, stupid dog
does. He seeks, he looks at me, doesn't
he? What are you trying to say? I'll talk to him. I don't understand. He wants to please me. He wants
to do what I want him to do. My dumb, stupid God. Should not a people seek unto
their Creator? Some people don't even acknowledge
they have one. Breathing His air, their hearts
are beating because He says so. They're eating all of His food.
They're wearing His clothing. He gives them gift after gift,
gives them children, they don't dedicate them to him, they give
them a bride, a wife, they don't seek one from him, until God
says, that's it. And Isaiah 1, he said, I have
all the day, I have raised up a children and have rebelled
against me. It's over. That's it. Seek ye first the
King. You're under his dominion. All
those who have not submitted and bowed the knee to and confess
in right now are going to be left out of the kingdom. Right now. Today is the day when
you confess the king. Today. Is this an urgent message
or what? This is the most important message
you'll hear. I'll hear. First, the kingdom
of God. To know the king. How are you going to be in his
kingdom? You've got to have his righteousness. You've got to
have his righteousness. I always say this all the time.
This is the theme of our preaching. This is just constantly going
forth from this place. You've got to have a righteousness.
You've got to have a righteousness, because this King is infinitely,
spotlessly holy and pure and righteous. Nothing is going to
be in his kingdom but the thousand. No matter how sincere, no matter
how religious, no matter how whatever, it must be perfect
to be accepted. You be holy, I'm holy. How? How can he be clean as born
of a woman? How can man, I know it's true,
but how can he be just? How can God be just and justify
an unclean sinner like me? It's called righteousness. It's
called imputed righteousness. I've got to have one. I've got
to have a garment on. I've got to have a robe on. I've
got to be wearing the wedding garment. And I don't make it. I can't make it. By the deeds
of the law, nobody will make anything that's good enough.
But God said, my son has. He's wrought out a perfect righteousness
with his own hands, a perfect life as a man. A perfect road,
but outstream, a spotless road, the best road, the only road
God will accept you in. And he'll just put it on whoever
needs it. All you've got to do is say,
I'm naked, I don't have the righteousness. He'll say, well, I do. And I
will have this. Do you see that? His righteousness.
Paul said, All of them I will, Christ will be found in him,
not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, my religion,
my duty, but that righteousness which is of God by faith in the
Lord Jesus Christ. And he delights to give it, the
worst prodigal on earth. The worst prodigal on earth.
That one who didn't give God a thought for years, that one
who slept, the one who gave him his breath and his blood, the
one who gave him his food and his clothing, the one who said,
I'm leaving here, I'm not interested in the Father. The worst one, the chief of prodigals,
he turns. And we know who turns them. And
just say, just say, I said, against heaven, I'm not
fit to be, and you won't get the words out. Like that prodigal
son, you won't get the words out of your mouth that he says,
bring the best robe. Bring the best robe, and put
it on him right now. Put it on him. And the ring,
token of my love, I'm married to him now. Kill the fatted calf. This is my son. Not him. Yep. Him. He's no good. Yep. He's got a robe on. He's got a ring on. That means
he's my son. Bring the best for him. All right.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God. And God in his goodness,
he said all these things. These things of the attitude. Is he true to his word? He asked his disciples one time, he said,
after three and a half years, they never worked a job. They
never earned a penny. Only a couple of times he had
them throw a net out to catch a little fish. After three and
a half years, and he was leaving, before he left, he said, Have
you lacked anything? Anything? Since I've been with
you, anything? Have you missed a thing? Have
you been without it? If they said nothing, no thank the Lord, then take no thought. Don't be worried about things. This is pretty good hymn to sing. Let's stand and sing first and
last verses, all right? Let's stand. The sands of time are speaking,
the dawn of heaven breaks. The sun of all life shines forth,
the dead sleep far away. Dark, dark, and in the midnight
the... Thank you. Thank you. you
