How do we know the promises of God are true?

Answered in 25 sources

The Bible consistently demonstrates God's faithfulness to His promises, as evidenced by the fulfillment of the covenant with Abraham and the deliverance of Israel from Egypt.

The truth of God's promises is evident throughout Scripture and particularly in the narrative of Israel's deliverance from Egypt. In Exodus 6:6-8, God reassures His people of His covenant and the promises made to Abraham, affirming that He has not forgotten them amidst their anguish. Furthermore, despite their doubts and hardships, God fulfills these promises in His perfect timing, as seen when Israel is finally led out of Egypt. This underscores that God's word is trustworthy, for He who called them out was faithful to accomplish His intentions. Each promise culminates in the person and work of Jesus Christ, affirming that the greatest fulfillment of God's promises is found in Him, establishing a certain hope for all believers.
