from the very gates of hell,
even to the throne of God, by Charles Simeon. Salvation is
the elevation of an immortal soul from the lowest state of
sin and misery to all the glory and felicity of heaven. Thus
will the poor and contrite soul be raised from guilt to peace,
from sin to holiness, from the very gates of hell, even to the
throne of God. It is impossible to know anything
of the saving grace of God and not be lost in wonder and praise. Profound adoration and devotion
are the proper posture of a redeemed soul. Christian, God has wrought
these wondrous things for you. by taking on Himself your miseries,
that you may be partakers of His glory. To view the grace
of our Lord Jesus Christ aright, you must bear in mind that though
He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you, through
His poverty, might be rich. 2 Corinthians 8 9 Yes, He was
made sin for you, that you might be made the righteousness of
God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5, verse 21, O
extol him, praise him, magnify him, adore him, and let all that
is within you bless his holy name. Your most sincere inquiry
should be, what shall I render unto the Lord for all the benefits
He has done unto me? Psalm 116, verse 12. Praise the Lord, O my soul, all
my inmost being. Praise His holy name. Praise
the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all His benefits. Who
forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases? who redeems
your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion. Psalm chapter 103 verses 1-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who
has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing
in Christ. Ephesians chapter 1 verse 3 Thanks
be to God for his indescribable gift. 2 Corinthians chapter 9
verse 15 Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor
and power and might be to our God forever and ever. Amen. Revelation chapter 7 verse 12
