"Do you think about Jesus this way? He is the mighty man-god. He's able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think, because He's king!" -Pastor Kent W. Clark

This past Sunday, Pastor Clark dove into a passionate discussion on the kingship of Christ.

Jesus Christ is in complete control. He's not seeking our approval. He's not weak, nor fearful! Nothing happens apart from how He wants it to happen!

He is the KING of kings!

OUR KING! OUR SAVIOR!

And He is the LORD of lords!

What a beautiful and magnificent thing!

Here's a highlight from our Sunday service!

-----
The clip played in this highlight was created by Albert Martin. It can be found at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKsN-AeqJP0

The audio played throughout the clip is a sermon by Dr. S.M. Lockridge, "That's My King".

The sermon titled "Who's Your King?" by Kent Clark emphasizes the sovereignty and majesty of Jesus Christ as King. Clark argues against the common misconception of Jesus as a passive figure in need of human approval, presenting Him instead as the Almighty King—a figure actively engaged in human history while sovereign over it. He draws attention to key Scripture references such as John 10:18, highlighting that Christ laid down His life willingly, and affirming the doctrine of election and substitutionary atonement. The sermon underscores the practical significance of recognizing Jesus as a powerful and loving King who saves His people from their sins, encouraging believers to live with assurance in His kingship and care.

“You can't get him out of your mind. You see, you can't get him off of your head. You can't outlive him, and you can't live without him.”

I think the first thing we need
to talk about is the kingship of Jesus Christ. I hear so many
messages where I know that the preacher is not talking about
a king. I hear that we ought to feel
sorry for Jesus, that he's some kind of wimpy little guy who
is doing his best to win us over and possibly leaving it up to
us to make our decision for him. I do know this for sure. that
if we would take a vote here this morning, most of this crowd
would vote yes. Bring forth the royal diadem
and crown him Lord of all. Do you think about Jesus this
way? He is the mighty man God. The mighty man God. He's able. to do exceedingly, abundantly,
above all that we ask or think, because He's King. He's King
Jesus. We've seen our King condescend. We saw Him born a babe in Bethlehem. We saw Him and have seen Him
invade human history, that He came down from heaven. The God-man,
we have seen him walk the Judean acres without sin. We have seen
Pilate and the Roman soldiers nail him to a cross there at
Calvary. It would seem that things are
out of control. But the truth is, when Jesus
was nailed to the cross, the scripture says that wicked men
did exactly what they wanted to do, and at the same time,
fulfilled God's ordained plans of substitution and bringing
a savior into the world. Isn't that awesome? I'm not ashamed
to tell you he's my king. And I'm glad I have a king. more
powerful than me, able to take care of me when I'm crazy. He
laid down his life for me. No man took his life from me.
He laid down his life. He came into the world. His name
shall be called Jesus, for he shall save his people from their
sins. Not he might, he shall. That's
a wonderful truth. We proclaim that here. That God
has an elect and that Christ on the tree of the cross died
in their stead to save them. And when he had finished the
work of their salvation, of redeeming them, he sat down. Who's your
king? I want to play you a tape of
a message I heard 50 years ago of a pastor entitled S.M. Lockridge, and he is preaching
this message, He's My King. Can you guys play it? The Bible
says my king is the king of the Jews, he's the king of Israel,
he's the king of righteousness, he's the king of the ages, he's
the king of heaven, he's the king of glory, he's the king
of kings, and he's the lord of lords. That's my king. I wonder do you know him? My
king is a sovereign king. No means of measure can define
his limitless love. entirely sincere. He's eternally
steadfast. He's immortally graceful. He's
impurely powerful. He's impartially merciful. Do
you know him? He's the greatest phenomenon
that has ever crossed the horizon of this world. He's God's son. He's a sinner's savior. He's
the centerpiece of civilization. He's He's the highest personality
in literature. He's the highest personality
in philosophy. He's the fundamental doctrine
of true theology. He's the only one qualified to
be an all-sufficient savior. I wonder if you know him today. He supplies strength for the
weak. He's available for the tempted
and the tried. He sympathizes and he saves. He strengthens and sustains. He just is! He just is! He's incomprehensible. He's invincible.
He's irresistible. Well, you can't get him out of your mind. You see, you can't get him off of
your head. You can't outlive him, and you can't live without him. Well, the Pharisees couldn't
stand him. When they found out, they couldn't stop him. Pilots couldn't find him. Is He your King? Aren't you glad He's your King?
What a wonderful Lord and Savior we have.
