I believe I prove in myself, if we don't have a close walk with the Lord, we are not conformed to his image. We find the exercise of graces very hard. We find that we're just outwardly doing things without it really coming and flowing from the heart. And the Lord is a jealous God. He wants to hear from his children and his children are to hear from him. And whatever there is in their outward conduct or walk or fruits, it must begin first in the closet with the Lord and with the heart sanctified by his presence, by his Spirit.
