He's taking my place. not just in my death that was due to me on the cross, the wrath of God for all my sin, but he was also my substitute in living. He lived for me. He lived all of the law of God. He performed all righteousness for me as my substitute. So God takes Christ's obedience and righteousness as my righteousness. God takes Christ's death As my death. So now I have paid the price.
