If the simple casting of the dice is guided by God, then how much more does he order the events of our entire life especially when we are told by our blessed Savior, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Not a sparrow will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.

It would bring a holy calm over your mind, dear friend, if you were always to remember this. It would so relieve your mind from worry that you would be the better able to walk in patience, calmness, and cheerfulness as a Christian should. When you worry and fret about your unalterable lot and circumstances, then you are meddling with God's business and neglecting your own.

Come and survey your father's storehouse and ask whether he will let you starve while he has laid up so great an abundance in his garner. Ponder his heart of mercy and ask if his heart can ever prove unkind. Contemplate His inscrutable wisdom, and ask if that wisdom can ever be faulty. Above all, look to the Lord Jesus, your intercessor, and while He pleads for you, ask yourself, can your Father deal ungraciously with you? If He remembers even sparrows, will He forget one of His poor children?

If God feeds His birds, then surely He will not starve His babes, Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name. You are mine. When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up. The flames will not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. Isaiah 43, verses 1-3
