Thank you, Jeff. Let's turn back now to Isaiah 62. Now we saw in verse 10 the Lord's charge to us to go through the gates, prepare ye the way of the people. cast up the highway, gather out the stones, lift up the banner, the flag for the people to behold.

All of that is preaching Christ, declare the Lord Jesus Christ. And then he says here in verse 11, Behold, the Lord hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh. Behold, his reward is with him and his work before him. And they shall call them the holy people, the redeemed of the Lord, and thou shalt be called sought out, a city not forsaken. When the gospel goes forth and the Lord blesses it to our heart, This is what he teaches us, that Christ is salvation, that he's salvation. He saves his people by his works of freely giving us what we did not earn. And when he does this, he gives us a new name. And we will look at that name. Now the first thing I want to look at here is that the message of the gospel is Christ is salvation. It's the Lord's gospel. It's God's gospel. It's the gospel of God's son.

And only the Lord can make it effectual in the heart so that we hear it and continue to hear it. He said, behold, the Lord hath proclaimed. When the Lord commands His child to behold, that's when we'll behold. When He says, behold, and He says it in power, that's when we will behold. And it's His proclamation, the gospel's the Lord's proclamation. The Lord's proclaiming the glory of His Son, the glory of the triune God in His Son.

Everything God is is revealed in Christ And so this is the proclamation the Lord's making and has been making since he made the world And he will do it to the end of the world This is his gospel He purposed it He came and worked it and he's gonna call and reveal it And in the end, everybody that he saves is gonna give him the glory, and even those that perish in the end are gonna bow their knee and give him the glory.

The end of the world here means, it means wherever his lost sheep are in the world, and it means till the end of time. There's just one message, only ever been one message. The Lord hath proclaimed to the end of the world, to the far four corners of the world and to the end of time, he's been proclaiming this one message. He made the world for this reason. Everything in it, he made it for this reason. And everything he created bears witness to the message. The daughter of Zion here, I say you to the daughter of Zion, that's his elect people, that's his elect. The word Zion means parched place, dry place, parched place.

Now that's what we are in ourselves, a place where there is no water, water is life. And by nature, we have no life, we're a dry place. Every sinner God saves, is the dry plate. We're like the dry bones that the Lord showed Ezekiel. We're the dry bones in the valley. They were scattered, they weren't united into one body, and they were very dry, the scripture said. That's us by nature. We have no life. We've been separated from God due to our sin. We've been separated from each other. We have no connection to God or to one another, just dry, dry bones scattered. That's what we are by nature.

And the Lord said, son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. Behold, they say our bones are dried and our hope is lost, we're cut off for our parts. That's God's Israel, that's the elect of God, dry, cut off, scattered, parched and dry. Whenever the Lord talks about making the dry land springs of water, he's talking about us, he's talking about his people. When he said, I will make the dry land springs of water, That's what he'll do for his people, because we're parched. He said, I will pour water upon him that is thirsty and floods upon the dry ground. I will pour my spirit upon thy seed and my blessing upon thine offspring. And that's all by the free and sovereign grace of God. You think about, it should be abundantly clear to us that salvation is entirely by the free and sovereign grace of God.

Do you ever found a dry bone in the woods? Like I remember growing up, I would come across bones in the woods sometimes, or even in the back of my dad's pasture, I'd find a cow bone. And a bone that's been out for a while is, that's the driest thing in the world.

I mean, this thing's just brittle. You could just about crush it. Now you think about that being a sinner. That's us. That should make it clear to us that only way we'll be saved is by God's grace, by him doing all the work, and by him giving us life. That was the message of the Valley of Dry Bones. Son of man, can these bones live? What was the answer? Lord, you know, you know. It's all of the Lord. Now, the one message that God's declaring to the daughter of Zion is, behold, thy salvation cometh. That means we didn't have it. If it's coming to us, it wasn't of us, and we didn't have it. Behold, thy salvation cometh.

Remember what we saw with Simeon? In Luke 2, 26, the Lord had revealed to Simeon by the Holy Ghost that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord's Christ. And they bring the infant at eight days old, they bring him into the temple, and Simeon held him up in his hand. And he said, Lord, now your servant can depart in peace.

I have seen thy salvation. Christ is salvation. And he's the salvation God has provided for Zion, for his people. And God says to us, behold, thy salvation cometh. He's your personal salvation. They say the common thing is make God your personal savior, I think is what they say. God does that for his people. He makes you to know He's your salvation. He's thy salvation. Yours personally. But He made it so, not us. He made it so.

And when He comes, just like He already came into this world, and He went back to glory, He's coming again. But when this gospel goes forth, and He says, Behold, thy salvation cometh, He comes into the heart. He comes into the dry bones. And that's where the water's poured out. That's where the life is given. It's Christ entered into the heart.

Not only does God reveal Christ's person to us, that He is your salvation, He reveals Christ's works to us. He reveals His person, He's your salvation, and He reveals that it's all by His works. He says, verse 11, Behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him. His recompense is with Him. His work is with Him. His reward is with Him. The Lord Jesus Christ, the very fact that the Son of God came down, declares that He came to do for His people what we could not do ourselves. Everything, all of it. Everything about our salvation. He came to do what we could not do. The very fact that God came declares to us we could not keep the law. We could not do anything to gain God's favor. We could not do anything to make God accept us into his holy presence.

That's why Christ came. The fact he came declares that to us so clearly. He came to fulfill the law and the prophets for God and for his people. And he accomplished it. He accomplished it. He purged the sin of his people when he had by himself purged our sin.

Do you ever think about this, brethren, that before God you don't have any sin? The next time that you're troubled by your sin, take out Hebrews 1 and look at verse 3 and read it. And when you get to the part where it says, when he had by himself purged our sin, he sat down. If you're hit and he's ever made you to rejoice in Christ and cast your care on him, you read that verse and remember this, God promises, I will remember their sins no more.

Because Christ put them away as far as the east is from the west. When God says that you have no sin, you don't have any sin. He's not pretending. He's not treating you as if you're without sin. Christ really put away the sin of His people. He really bore the curse for us and satisfied God. If we perish and we go to hell, we'll never satisfy God's eternal condemnation. That's why hell is eternal. Because He's God and man. As man, He could bear our sin and He could bear the curse. And as God, he completely, thoroughly satisfied the law.

You know, this is the thing about folks that want to try to come to God in the law. If today you could start keeping the law by yourself, which you can't, but if you could, and you could keep it perfectly, those sins that came before that day are still going to have to be paid for. and we can't even fulfill the law in paying the debt we owe for our sin. We can't obey the law in paying the debt we owe for our sin. We could suffer in hell forever and never pay that debt. Christ gave the law the positive obedience it demanded in fulfilling and loving God and his people perfectly, and he gave it the negative obedience it demanded.

He fully paid the price for his people. I think I've gone way ahead of myself in my message, but it's just so. That's what he's done. He always succeeds in making his child know him. and know that salvation is by his work alone. Every man, he said here, he come to, his reward is with him. Scripture says every man shall receive his own reward according to his own labor. And for a carnally minded man, the idea of rewards genders competition. He starts wanting to outdo his brother to get a better reward and glory.

That's just nature. That's how it is. If there is anything competitive, we're going to compete. If there's a reward where somebody is going to be exalted above another, we will start trying to be the best. But for the spiritually minded man, Christ makes us know he is our exceeding great reward. He's our exceeding great reward.

That's what he told Abraham. That's how you know you're never gonna do without in this world. Now, He's not gonna make you ultra wealthy and may not even make you rich by man's standard, but you will always have what you need because Christ is our full provision, and when we get to glory, He's our reward. He's our reward.

Now, here's the next thing. When Christ calls us, He gives us a new name. The message is, behold, thy salvation cometh. His reward is with him, and his work is before him. He did all the work, and he's rewarding his people with him. He is our reward. Now, but he gives us a new name. Look at this. Verse 12, they shall call them the holy people. Now, how are God's people made holy? Why is he gonna call us the holy people? Well, It's all of God.

You and me do not contribute at all to making ourselves holy or growing in holiness or anything of that nature. When a man talks about making himself holy or contributing to holiness, he manifests loud and clear he has not been made holy. He has not been sanctified. Because when a man's been truly made holy and truly sanctified, he's going to give God all the glory. He's going to give God all the glory.

First of all, God the Father, to be holy is to be set apart, separated, and reserved for God's personal use. Jude 1 says, Jude, the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to them that are sanctified by God the Father and preserved in Jesus Christ and called.

That was part of those all spiritual blessings that God gave us, God the Father gave us when he chose us in Christ. He set us apart in Christ, sanctified us. He preserved us in Christ, and he called us his own in Christ. That's how we were made holy. And then the Lord Jesus came, and by his obedience, he made his people holy. Both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are of all of one, for which he's not ashamed to call us brethren.

He said, your law is in my heart, Lord. I came to do your will. And he fulfilled that whole old covenant and took it out of the way and established his people in the new covenant of grace. And he did it all by his one offering on the cross. That's Hebrews 10, 9. Then said he, lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first that he may establish the second by the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ one time.

Hebrews 13, 12 says, Jesus, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood suffered without the gate. But there's another work that has to be done within. We gotta be made holy within. And so we saw this, we've been looking at this in Acts. He said, I'll send the Spirit. He ascended. He sent the Holy Spirit, and through the gospel, the Holy Spirit enters and creates a new Holy Spirit that we did not have. It was not in us. A new man that we did not have. And that's all of the Holy Spirit.

When he sent Paul to preach, Christ said he sent him forth to do this right here through the Spirit, to open their eyes, to turn them from darkness to light, this is a sanctification, to turn them from darkness to light, from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among them, which are sanctified by faith that's in me.

Faith that's in Christ. That sanctificate is trusting Christ to be our separation and our holiness and our sanctification. He purifies our soul, scripture says. He purifies our mind, scripture says. Peter said, I'm stirring up your pure minds. Christ is the red heifer. And through the spirit, he sprinkles our conscience so it's pure. And through the gospel, he washes our body so it's pure.

And he said, it was necessary that those old covenant things be purified with those shadowy types and things, but the heavenly things with better sacrifices. And Christ is the better sacrifice, and you are the heavenly things he's talking about. Purged and made holy by his blood. That's by the Holy Spirit. They shall be called the redeemed of the Lord. The redeemed of the Lord. Here's where I got ahead of myself. The redeemed of the Lord. Redemption requires a payment be made. That's what redemption requires, a payment be made.

We owe the law a debt that we could not pay. And it was not only that we had to obey it, we had to pay the wages of sin, which is death, and we couldn't do it. We couldn't do it. Like I said, even if we went to hell, we would never pay that debt. We'd always bear it.

But scripture says, in Christ, we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sin. And he said, you weren't redeemed with corruptible things. That's exactly what folks in Catholicism are doing. They're bringing their money and they're paying for redemption. You are not redeemed with corruptible things like silver and gold.

With the precious blood of Christ, with the precious blood of Christ, ordained before the foundation of the world. He's the spotless lamb that went before God, bore our sin, bore our curse, paid our debt, and fully redeemed us, and then came and gave us faith to trust him. It's all of him. And when he returns, there's a redemption yet to happen. When he returns, he's going to redeem our body out.

He said, we ourselves groan within ourselves. We groan. The older you get, the more you groan. Because this body just keeps breaking down, breaking down, breaking down. And you groan within yourself. He said, waiting for the adoption to wit, the redemption of our body. We know we have a tabernacle above. We have a house not made with hands.

God's gonna raise us with a brand new body that's gonna be perfect. No more hurting, no more pain, no more decaying and any of that, a perfectly, a perfect body, soul, and spirit with no sin whatsoever. So we can truly, truly worship Christ and give Him the praise that He deserved. Now, each one Christ made holy, each one He redeemed, they're gonna be called sought out.

He said, verse 12, and thou shalt be called sought out. Go with me to Luke 14, Luke chapter 14. In verse four, the Lord Jesus said, verse five, he said, which of you shall have an ass, oh wait, I did this again, let me see, hold on one second, let me see if I can find it. Luke 15, Luke 15, four.

He said, what man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, does not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness and go after that which is lost until he find it? And when he has found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbors, saying unto them, Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost. I say unto you that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth more than over ninety-nine just persons which need no repentance. Then he talked about the coin. What woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, does not light a candle and sweep the house and seek diligently till she find it? And when she's found it, she calls her friends and her neighbors together saying, rejoice with me, for I found the peace which I had lost.

Likewise, I say unto you, there's joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repented. Do you reckon, knowing what he just said, that the angels are looking into the church and they're looking at the things that the Lord's doing for his people? Do you think there's gonna be one lost sinner that Christ redeemed that he's gonna allow all of the angels and the heavenly host watch him not be able to find that lost sheep?

You think that'll ever happen? That'll never happen. If he has a lost sheep somewhere, he's gonna find the lost sheep. If he has a child somewhere, he's gonna find them. And this, he has some. And I know he does because this earth is still here. This world is still here. He's still calling his people. And he's gonna call them. They are going to be called sought out. This is why we rejoice that he did it. Happy is the man whom thou choosest and causes to approach unto thee.

We shall be, we'll dwell in your courts and we'll be satisfied with the goodness of your house, even of your holy temple. I'm satisfied with the gospel. I am completely satisfied with the gospel. I don't, I don't need anything else. And when I hear the gospel preached and the Lord makes me really hear it, that's what he tells me over and over. I have everything I need in Christ. And it just, it rejoices my heart. He sought me and he found me. And that's what he's done for you. And he's going to do that for all these people.

I want to have the attitude and the faith that whenever I come across somebody, that rare occasion when you come across somebody that actually wants to listen or that actually has an interest in what you're saying concerning the gospel. Every now and then you come across one And I want to have the spirit that this might be one of God's lost sheep so that I speak boldly to them and plainly and clearly and express the gospel to them.

Don't you know that's how Philip felt when he was out in the middle of that desert and he comes along and there's that eunuch sitting in that chariot and Philip sees him reading the Bible and he said, what are you reading? And this man told him and he said, Do you understand what you're reading? And he said, how can I except some man guide me?

If I heard somebody say that, I'd be excited. That would excite me. Every now and then you come across somebody with that spirit. And even if they don't have that spirit, we still ought to know this might be one of his. Speak the gospel. All right, here's the last thing, and they should be called a city not forsaken. A city not forsaken. God's city is not a city. His city's his people. His people make up the city. There are those he's made holy, there's those he's redeemed, and there are those he sought out. That's how he made us a citizen. You come to Mount Zion to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem.

Ephesians 2.19 said he came and he redeemed us and made all his people one. Then he came and preached peace to us so that he can, one spirit, we can approach the Father. And now he says that now therefore you're no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints. We are citizens with Paul, Peter, James, John, that Gadarene demoniac that he saved, that's our brother, Enoch's our brother, Noah, Moses, Abraham, all members of this heavenly city, citizens of this same city.

And here's why we'll never be forsaken. You'll never be forsaken. And here's why. The Lord Jesus Christ on that cross cried out, my God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? And because he was forsaken in place of his people and completely satisfied God, he promises, I will never leave you and I will never forsake you. He'll never leave us, brethren. He'll never leave us.

I feel alone sometimes. I'm just being honest, there's some things that really, really break my heart. But it's like what he said, that night he's gonna be betrayed. He said, you're all gonna leave me alone. He said, but I'm not alone, the Father's with me. And you can say, in your loneliest hour, you can say, I'm not alone, Christ is with me. Because he said, they're gonna be called a city not forsaken. He's not gonna forsake you. Now, what have we seen here? Well, I'm just talking about this second hour. I can't review the first hour, but what have we seen here?

Number one, we've seen that Christ is salvation. Thy salvation is Christ. We've seen your reward is Christ. The work whereby you may righteous with God is Christ. We've seen here your holiness is Christ. We've seen here your redemption is Christ. We've seen your citizenship is because he sought you out. The reason we shall never be forsaken but we with Christ in glory forever is by Christ.

And when God says you're a city set on a hill, He just said, you're called a city not forsaken. Your city set on a hill. So he said, now let your light shine that everybody will see your light and glorify God when they see your good works. Having seen everything in this passage is Christ.

What do you think the light is that we're to shine? It's Christ. What works is it that we're to make sure they see that he says they're gonna glorify God for your works when he calls them? What are they? You preach Christ to them. And you prayed to Christ to save them. And you waited on Christ to save them. And when he does save them, they're gonna say, they're gonna glorify Christ and give him all the glory for making you preach him. and pray to him and wait on him.

Look with me over 1 Corinthians 1.17, this will be the end. That's exactly what Christ said. We have to have eyes to see this. You know, everything about the scripture, he has to give you spiritual discernment. But that's what Paul's saying right here.

Look, 1 Corinthians 1.17, Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made a noneffect, for the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness." In other words, they're not just gonna preach Christ.

They think that's foolish. You'll never get people in with that. I don't know how many times I heard growing up, you get more flies with honey than vinegar, concerning the gospel. Brethren, we're not in the business of trying to get flies. We're maggots by nature and we need to hear the gospel declared and that's what that's the light we're gonna shine because Don't do us what you're saying.

It's the power of God. You've experienced it. Look over here now I said you here's the work They're gonna say you're gonna preach Christ. You're gonna pray to Christ and you're gonna wait on Christ. Listen to Paul I brethren first Corinthians 2 1 when I came to you I I came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God, for I determined not to know anything among you save Jesus Christ, whom you crucified. And I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling. My speech, my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit and of power that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

That's your light. You preach Christ. And when God saves a man, they're going to look at everything that Paul did for them and say, Christ worked that in you, Paul. You didn't do what the rest of this world did. You didn't use excellently his speech and take the fence out. You just preached the truth to us. That's how they're going to glorify God when he uses you to preach the gospel to them. They're going to say, you did for us what nobody else ever did. Religion didn't do this. They've tried every other means in the world. You just preach Christ and wait on Christ to work. That's the light we shine right there. Christ is all. All. All right. Brother Adam.
