God gave them up. God gave them up. God gave them up. Three times those four words
are used in our text this morning. Romans chapter one, Verses 18
through 32. God gave them up. What solemn words. What astonishing, fearful words
those four words are. God gave them up. What hopelessness. What despair. What darkness. those words describe, God gave
them up. That's my subject this morning,
the title of my message, but it is my heart's cry to God for
you, that God won't give you up. If God gives you up, you're going
to hell. If God gives you up, there's
no hope for your soul. If God gives you up, you're beyond
the pale of mercy. If God gives you up, there's
no salvation for you. God gave them up. Now, I want us to read together
one of the most solemn passages found in all the word of God. Romans 1 verses 18 through 32
gives us such a clear graphic portrayal of humanity, such a
blunt, honest description of humanity that it is seldom ever
read in public. You can go to church all your
life where folks read the Bible and preach through it verse by
verse and never hear anybody read what we're about to read
this morning. They just skip right over it.
Don't dare read it. Don't dare read it. Because this
is God's description of humanity. This is God's description of
mankind. This is God's description of
human nature. This is God's description of
your nature and mine. God's description of your children
and mine. God's description of your grandchildren
and mine. God's description of your husband,
your wife, your mom, your dad, and mine. This is God's description.
Romans 1 verse 18. For the wrath of God is revealed
from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who
hold the truth in unrighteousness. Because that which may be known
of God is manifest in them. For God has showed it unto them.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world
are clearly seen. being understood by the things
that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead, so that they
are without excuse. Because that when they knew God,
they glorified him not as God. Neither were thankful, but became
vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. professing themselves to be wise,
they became fools and changed the glory of the incorruptible
God into an image made like to corruptible man, to birds and
four-footed beasts and creeping things. Wherefore, God also gave
them up. to uncleanness, through the lust
of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves,
who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshiped and
served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this cause, God gave
them up unto vile affections, for even their women did change
the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise
also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their
lust one toward another, men with men, working that which
is unseemly. and receiving in themselves that
recompense of their error which was meat. And even as they did
not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up,
God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which
are not convenient, being filled with all unrighteousness fornication,
wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, debate,
deceit, malignity, whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, despiteful,
proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection,
implacable, unmerciful, who knowing the judgment of God, that they
which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do
the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. What an indictment. of humanity. Having read God's
description of the human race as it is given to us in this
solemn, dark passage of scripture, I urge you, don't make the common
mistake of many. Don't read these words thinking
to yourself, what wicked people those people must have what wicked
people they were. Oh, may God the Holy Spirit give
you and me wisdom and grace to apply his word to ourselves. This is God's description of
your nature and of mine. This is God's description of
your nature and of mine. As it was in the days of Noah,
as it came to pass in the days of Lot, as it was in Sodom, as
it was in ancient Rome, so it is today. Humanity doesn't change. Human nature is now exactly what
it has always been since the fall of our father Adam. Exactly
what it has always been throughout history in every segment of society,
no matter how civilized or barbaric. Human nature is exactly the same. Human nature is now what it shall
be tomorrow and shall continue to be to the end of the world.
Folks always talk of things are so much worse now. Things may
be, but man's not. Man's not. God looked down from
heaven in Genesis chapter 6 upon all the world, and he saw that
the imaginations of the heart of every man were only evil continually. And so it is today. The imaginations
of the heart of every man are only evil continually. I'm saying as plainly as I know
how to say, you don't ever think anything but evil. Even when you're thinking things
that you think are good, there's perversity. corruption, selfishness,
pride, evil involved in all our thoughts. That's the nature of
humanity. Do not apply this threefold God
gave them up to the heathen tribesmen of New Guinea and Africa as most
do. Behold, we are they of whom God
says there's no difference. All have sinned and come short
of the glory of God. All humanity is brought under
the judgment of God, for all have sinned. In our father Adam,
we sinned and trespassed against God. In our father Adam, we tried
to shove God off his throne. In our father Adam, we said God
has no right to be God. In our father Adam, we became
sinners. Now I know folks like to argue
and fuss about that, say just, I don't like that. You take that
up with God. That's the way it is. But you
haven't done any better on your own account. Throughout history,
man has been nothing but a constant exercise of wickedness. That's
what mankind is. The history of humanity is a
history of ungodliness. The history of humanity is a
history of wickedness. With every breath of our lives,
from our youth up, we live continually in sin against God. With every
thought of our hearts, from our youth up, we live continually
transgressing our God. Beware. Beware of the elite circles
and the we are better societies of pride. God teach us. God teach us. Beware of the elite
circles. And we are better societies of
human pride. We all like to think we're a
cut above. We all like to think we're a
little bit better. We all like to look down on somebody. We all like to set ourselves
apart with pride. Well, we don't have anything
to do with that kind. Beware, beware the elite circles,
and we are better societies of pride. All human beings are described
this way. The scripture hath concluded
all under sin. That's what the book says, Galatians
chapter three. The scripture hath concluded
all under sin. The more we realize that we are
nothing but common sinners, the more we will realize the blessedness
of God's amazing uncommon grace. The more we despair of man, the
more we despair of ourselves, the more easily and more fully
we will trust Christ and rest in Him and His finished work
as our substitute, our Redeemer, and our Savior. Now, here are
five facts, five things stated by God the Holy Ghost, five glaring
realities you're going to have to face and you're going to have
to acknowledge. I pray God won't let you sleep
through it. Sooner or later, either now or
at the judgment, you're going to acknowledge these five realities. Look at the book of God, Romans
chapter one, verse 18, number one. God Almighty is just. He must and will punish sin. God Almighty is just. He must
and He will punish all sin. You're not going to get by with
a thing. Nothing. Nothing. For the wrath of God
is revealed from heaven against A-L-L. All ungodliness and unrighteousness
of men who hold the truth in unrighteousness. God has given
us two revelations from heaven. He has revealed the righteousness
of God in the person and work of his son by the gospel. He's
revealed to us that God, by the sacrifice of his own son, has
brought in everlasting righteousness and put away sin. That's the
righteousness of God, the forgiveness, the redemption we must have.
God's revealed that from heaven by his word, by the gospel. And
he's revealed the wrath and judgment of God upon all the ungodly upon
all who do not trust his son. The foolish shall not stand in
thy sight. This is what God says concerning
himself. Thou hatest all workers of iniquity. Thou hatest all workers of iniquity. God judgeth the righteous, and
God is angry with the wicked every day. I know we live in
this mamby-pamby, syrupy, sloppy, sentimental, religious age of
nothing, where men have no idea who God is or what God requires
or what God does, and they talk all the time about how God loves
you. God loves you. God loves you.
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life. Find that
for me in this book. Find it for me. Find it for me.
You've got that baby downstairs. Don't you raise him up telling
him God loves him. You do him a disservice. You do him a disservice. There's not a reason in this
world for you to faintly imagine that God loves you until you
trust his son. Not a reason in this world. No
where in this book is there a description of God loving anybody outside
or apart from his son. The love of God's in Christ and
nowhere else. God is angry with the wicked
every day. If you're outside Christ, you
have no reason to expect anything from God except wrath and judgment
and condemnation. You have no reason to expect
anything from God except more misery, more darkness, more delusion. You have no reason to expect
anything from God except that he went his glittering sword
and at last pierced your soul and cast you into hell. The wrath
of God is clearly revealed. He that believeth not the Son
of God shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him. Those words, if God would let you hear them,
those words would drive you absolutely insane. Those words would terrify
you with every waking breath. Those words would shake your
soul continually until you found refuge in Christ the Lord. What
abides on you? What does God have for you? What
can you expect from God? I speak to you who do not know
the Savior. To you who yet refuse to believe
the Son of God. To you who will not bow to Christ.
What do you expect from God? Expect this. The wrath of God
abideth on you. All the time. All the time. The
wrath of God. is revealed from heaven. When Adam sinned in the garden,
God drove the fallen pear out of the garden and set cherubs
with flaming swords to guard the way to the tree of life because
God drove them out in judgment. God drove them out because God
declares he is of pure eyes than to behold iniquity. And the fallen
could not dwell in the presence of God. God saw the wickedness
of man in the days of Noah. And when God saw that the thought
and the imaginations of every man's heart was only wicked,
only evil, and that continually, God said, Noah, come into the
ark. I'm going to destroy this thing.
I'm going to destroy everything that moves upon the face of the
earth. I'm going to destroy everything.
Everything. Everything except what's in the ark. Everything.
And so it shall be at last. God's going to destroy this world. Everything and everybody except
what's in the ark. Christ Jesus the Lord. The Lord
God came to Sodom, that wicked city where Lot was. We have here
in the first chapter of Romans just read about the sodomites. Now, I want to be inoffensive. I don't
want to be base and crude. So I will try to avoid speaking
about sodomy as it probably needs to be spoken about. Well, I know
we live in this age. when everybody is warm and fuzzy
and wants to love everybody. I was talking to a fellow just
recently, and he was talking about their church. They had
a musician in the church, a music director, and he discovered that
he was gay, and we tried to help him through it. I said, what
in the hell for? Help him out. That was exactly
my response. Why do you want to help him through
it and keep it? You want to ruin your children?
You want to destroy your family? You want to destroy the folks
around you? This is ungodly. It's ungodly. And it's not to
be looked upon with tolerance or with compassion. It is ungodly. Perversity of the worst kind. Everywhere in the Old Testament,
there was a righteous king raised up to sit on the throne of Judah.
He destroyed the altars of Baal and ran the sodomites away, destroying
those who remained. Why? Because this is a moral
perversity, a degeneracy that reaches the bottom of society
and corrupts everybody it influences. Everybody it influences. You
young people, please hear what I'm telling you. Please hear
what I'm telling you. We live in this generation. where
everything around you promotes fornication and adultery and
sodomy. And everybody weeps at it and
laughs at it and smiles at it. Say, well, this is all right.
Who thinks anything about this? God Almighty does. That's who. God Almighty does. And God showed
His wrath against it. What happened to Sodom and Gomorrah?
What happened to it? You can either watch the History
Channel on TV and Trying to figure out a way not to believe God
or you read this book take what happened to it God delivered
lot out of Sodom and God rained fire and brimstone from heaven
and destroyed the city He destroyed the city as he shall all ungodliness
soon Lord God Gave his law at Mount Sinai And when God gave
his law at Sinai God was saying, I'm holy. I require holiness. I'm perfect. I require perfection. I'm righteous. I require righteousness. Now, don't you dare come to the
foot of this mountain and touch it. Don't you come. Don't you
put your hands to this. You can't do this. This law is
given to make you know that God will and must punish sin. The
soul that sinneth, it shall die. But nowhere Nowhere do we see
the revelation of the wrath of God from heaven like we see it
yonder upon Calvary's curse tree when God made his son sin. He hung a black curtain over
the sun for three hours. There was darkness. darkness over the face of the
earth. And the Son of God cried, my God, my God, why hast thou
forsaken me? And God gave no answer. God gave
no answer. At last, his son suffers all
the fury of God's wrath and justice until there was no wrath, no
justice left to be suffered for any of his people. He paid all
that was owed to God's holy law, both in righteousness and in
satisfaction. And he cried, it is finished. And when he did, the veil in
the temple was split in two. And now God says sinners can
come to me. Sinner can come to me by the
blood of the cross. There's no other way You can
come now into the Holy of Holies and find acceptance with God
by the blood of the cross There's no other way and when it was
done the earth quaked Because God shows his wrath against
sin against all ungodliness Ungodliness is impiety toward God. Unrighteousness
is injustice toward man. And notice the words. This is
revealed, this wrath of God revealed from heaven against all who hold
the truth in unrighteousness. I speak to you here today. And
I speak to everyone who hears my voice, by whatever means God
is pleased to disperse this word through the world. You hear my
voice now. You who claim not to believe
God and claim not to believe this stuff and, oh, that's just,
that's just scare tactics. You're just trying to scare folks.
You want to, religion's boogaboo stuff, you know. It's good for
little children and women, not for men. I don't believe that. You're a liar. You're a liar. I don't care who
you are. You're a liar. You're a liar. You know what I'm saying, so
you just keep pushing it down. You just keep pushing it down.
You keep trying to keep a lid on it so it doesn't have any
effect on you. You just keep holding it down. That's what
the word hold means. You suppress the truth in unrighteousness. You push it down in your unrighteousness. Here's the second thing. I want you who yet believe not,
you who yet refuse to trust the Lord Jesus, to hear what Paul
declares in verses 19 and 20. Are you listening? Are you listening? You're without
excuse. but not a reason in the Son you
can give for your unbelief. You're without excuse. See, that's
what it says. If you go to hell, it'll be your
fault. You won't have anybody to blame
but you. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in
them. You see that? In them. That which may be known of God
sticks out in you all the time. You can't shut it up. You can't
push it away. For God has showed it unto them. For the invisible things of him
from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood
by the things that are made, even his eternal power in Godhead,
so that they are without excuse. No one can or will be saved.
apart from the revelation of the gospel, the preaching of
the gospel you're hearing now. But there are some things revealed
to all men everywhere by creation. Some things by which men should
follow after and worship God, but they refuse to believe even
that which is revealed by creation. So they're without excuse. God
is invisible. He has no body. He's invisible.
He's incomprehensible. God is spirit. But his power
and his majesty as God shine forth everywhere. Turn back to
Psalm 19 for a minute. Psalm 19. God has written three books.
Three books that make you inexcusable in your unbelief. The first is
his book of creation. The second is his book of providence.
The third is his book of the gospel, Holy Scripture. Look
at Psalm 19. The heavens declare the glory
of God, and the firmament showeth his handiwork. Day unto day uttereth
speech, night unto night showeth knowledge. There is no speech,
no language where their voice is not heard. The lion is gone
out through the earth, through all the earth, in the words to
the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle
for the sun, which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber and
rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is
from the end of the heaven and his circuit under the ends of
it. And there's nothing hidden from the heat thereof. The law
of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul. The testimony of the
Lord is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the Lord
are right, rejoicing the heart. The commandment of the Lord is
pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the Lord is clean,
enduring forever. The judgments of the Lord are
true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than
gold, yea, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey in the
honeycomb. Moreover, by them thy servant
is warned, and in keeping, observing them there is great reward. There are multitudes who never
heard the gospel preached, but they're still without excuse,
because God has stamped the knowledge of God, His consciousness, on
their souls. They can't get away from it.
God has set his power and his glory in the heavens. And God
sends profitential judgments. All the time. All the time. You
know you're going to meet God in judgment. You know it. You
know it. You know God's going to judge
your sin. You know that. You know that.
You know that God is almighty. God has all power. God created
you. God owns you. And God can save
you or God can send you to hell. It's all together up to him.
You know that. You know that. And God sends
warnings. He sends sickness. And you get
a little scared. You get in an automobile accident
and you say, somebody call for the preacher. You, uh, you get
in trouble and go to jail house. And your mama said, brother,
darling, would you go down and see my boy? He'd been arrested.
He's, I believe he's ready for you. And folks want you to do
something, do something. Everybody's scared. He's scared
because God sends some providential judgment and the providential
judgment server. You go right back to your hellish
ways. You go right back to where you were. No change made. No
alteration made. Everything's just exactly like
it was. Because that which is born in the storm always dies
in the calm. Whatever you build in the storm
will be torn down in the calm. No, no, no. You won't hear. You
won't hear. You won't hear. And you will
meet God in judgment without excuse. Ralph Barnard used to
say, if you walk in the light God gives you, God will give
you more light. But if you refuse the light, refuse to walk in
the light God gives you, you're without excuse. That's exactly
what the Holy Spirit tells us here in verses 19 and 20. Here's
the third thing. Man always prefers folly. Man always prefers foolishness
to wisdom. But let me bring that home. You
always prefer foolishness to wisdom. That's the way of man. That's the way of man. We all
like to think we're smart. We like to think we're brilliant
fellows. I realize that I'm preaching
to people. Many of you are indeed folks
with high IQs and great learning. And the man doing the preaching,
He's a man of average intelligence. I'm fully aware of that. I'm
fully aware of that. But let's see what the book of
God says about our brilliance. Man always prefers foolishness
to wisdom. Because that, when they knew
God, when they knew God, they knew God by His power, His glory,
His majesty revealed in the heavens. By His holiness stamped on their
hearts. When they knew God, They glorified
him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in
their imaginations. Their foolish heart was darkened,
professing themselves to be smart as a whip, professing themselves
to be wise. I have read the learned philosophers. I have read about history, and
I have read about religion. I know, I know, I know. Professing
themselves to be wise. They became fools. Fools. How's that? Well, they changed
the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to
corruptible man and to birds and four-footed beasts and creeping
things. Men have a revelation of God. created the world. Peace. He hung the sun in the heavens
and the moon and the stars. He orders everything by his own
hand and sustains everything in its order. This world is not
self-existent. It cannot do wrong on its own.
It's sustained by the will and word and power of Almighty God. The sun moves in a circuit by
God's decree every day, every day. God does that. And you recognize
that. Oh, yes, God is. No, I ain't
going to have that. That means I have to bow down
to him. That means I have to do what he says. That means I
have to follow it. No, I ain't going to have that.
I ain't going to have that. So you make an image, and you make
a god like yourself. And that's still too much, so
you make him like an animal, a leopard, or an eagle, or a
lion, or a lamb. Or, oh, that's still too much. That's too much for one god.
Let's make a bunch of gods. Let's make gods like this and
gods like that. Let's have a lot of gods, and we'll cover our
bases. And if we haven't found out what God's supposed to look
like, we'll have a description to the unknown god. We're wise
folks. We learned. We're going to cover
all our bases. We got it all covered. And folks
think it's funny and cute, but they blaspheme God. And then
they step a little lower. And they make images of God like
creeping things, insects, and rodents. They call them gods. Call them gods. And snakes. Snakes. Call them gods. Call
them gods. You see, man continually in his
degeneracy abases himself in his folly, exposing his depravity
and his deliberate willful idolatry. And the basest form of it all,
by which man professing himself to be wise shows his folly, is
the worship of himself as God. This is what the Apostle describes
in 2 Thessalonians 2, as man, Antichrist, setting himself up
in the temple of God, demanding that he be worshipped as God. And I'm here to tell you, You
can go wherever you want to in Boyle County, Kentucky, or around
the state of Kentucky, and you will find, with rare exception,
in churches everywhere, conservative and liberal, Baptist and Papist,
Methodist and Mormon, Pentecostal and Presbyterian. You'll find
everywhere you go, man is worshipped as though he were God! For men ascribe to man power
that belongs only to God, describing, or rather ascribing to man, ultimately
to man, the salvation of his own soul. Somebody was asking
me the other day about Arminian fellows, and I said, I said,
would you have any objection to someone saying that a papist
is lost Oh, no. No. We know they are. We know
they are. Why? Because of what they believe. Actually, they believe exactly
what your Armenian son believes. They believe exactly what your
Armenian wife believes. They believe exactly what you
believe if you're an Armenian. Oh, no, no, no, we believe different
things. You believe exactly the same
thing. Exactly the same thing. You believe that man does something
to save himself. Now they all wear different costumes,
and they all have different games, and they all have different ways
of entertaining and manipulating folks, but all false religion
believes exactly the same thing. All anti-Christ religion worships
man as though he were God, ascribing to man the finality of salvation. That's idolatry. That's idolatry. It's not just worshiping images,
and I don't give way to that to anybody in the least. If you've
got images and religious relics and pictures and icons, religious
stuff, burn them. Burn them. Get rid of it. That's
all idolatry. It's nothing on this earth but
superstitious idolatry. So we don't worship that. Why
do you hold on to it? Why do you keep it? Because it means
something. I know it means something because
you think it has some power. It has some significance, some
spiritual majesty. You just well go down and go
to Sister Dora and have her read you a poem. It's just witchcraft
and idolatry. Get rid of it. But idolatry is
more than just worshiping images. Idolatry is making something
to be God that is not God, making God to be something that God
is not. Being fools by their own choice
and determination. Men choose to change the glory
of God into something corruptible like themselves. The preaching
of the cross is to them that perish foolishness. Foolishness. I know what people say, a little
bit of it. I've been around the bend a time
or two. And I know that what goes on here and wherever I go
preaching the gospel of God's grace, folks kind of laugh at
it. Well, it's kind of simple, isn't it? Yep, kind of simple. Let me tell you something. Let
me tell you something. If we narrow our preaching, if we narrow our instruction,
If we narrow our religious exercises to nothing but Jesus Christ crucified,
it will not be a narrowing, but a widening of our message. You
got that? Everything, everything about
the knowledge of God is found in the crucified Redeemer. But
to the wicked, to the unbelieving, this is foolishness. But to them
that are saved, it's the power of God. For it is written, God
says, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to
nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is
the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the
wisdom of the world? Now, here's the fourth thing. Oh, God, help you to hear me.
There comes a time when God gives sinners up to themselves. Verse 24. Wherefore? Wherefore? That is because they
chose to worship themselves rather than God. God also gave them
up to uncleanness, through the lust of their flesh, to dishonor
their own bodies between themselves, who changed the truth of God
into a lie and worshipped and served the creature more than
the Creator, who is blessed forever. God gave them up to that judgment
of God, that righteous judgment of God. And Paul says to that,
and I say to that, amen. Amen. If God gives you up, I'll
say amen to that. It's right. God leaves you to
yourself. I'll say amen to that. It's right. If God gives up your son or daughter,
my son or daughter, I'll say amen to that. It's right. It's
right. God doesn't do wrong. God doesn't
do wrong. They eat the food of their own
ways. God say, you want, you want your reds? All right, here
they are. Let me alone. Give me my red. All right, go
ahead. Go ahead. Don't interfere with me. All
right, go ahead. You can have it. I want my life. Okay, you can have it. You can
have it. For this cause, again, notice
the justice of divine judgment. There's always a cause for divine
retribution, and the cause is always in you. If you go to hell,
I repeat, it'll be because you choose to walk in your own way.
God gave them up to vile affections, for even their women did change
the natural use into that which is against nature. And likewise,
also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman burned in their
lust one toward another. Men with men working that which
is unseemly, that which you don't even talk about, and receiving
in themselves that recompense of their error which is right,
neat. And even as they did not like
to retain God in their knowledge, there it is again, God sends
judgment because you asked for it. God gave them over to a reprobate
mind to do those things which are not convenient, not easy
to do things they do. Being filled with all unrighteousness,
fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy,
murder, debate, deceit, malignity, whispers, backbiters, haters
of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient
to parents, without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural
affection, impeccable, unmerciful. When God leaves sinners alone,
If God leaves you alone, there's no bottom to the cesspool into
which you'll dive with gusto, because the cesspool is your
own heart of evil. Number five, reprobate sinners. are fully aware of their crimes
against God. Now all that I've said this morning,
everything I've said this morning, will, I know, be offensive to
many. I'm fully aware of it. I'm fully
aware that some will be angered by what I've said. I'm fully
aware of that. But I care too much for you and
your soul in God's glory to keep my mouth shut when God commands
me to speak. The fact is everybody who hears
what I've said today, everybody who hears this word from God
is fully aware of his crimes against God. Look at verse 32.
Who knowing the judgment of God that they which commit such things
are worthy of death. But you just keep right on doing
the same thing. They still do the same thing. Not only that,
but have pleasure in them that do them. You know that God's judgment
is righteous and sure. You know full well that your
ungodly behavior is ungodly. And yet you go right on in your
chosen path of ungodliness. Insulting God with every breath. Insulting God with every breath. And injuring everybody you touch. Injuring everybody you touch. People say, well, we're grown,
we're adults, this doesn't hurt anybody. You take your sons and daughters
and your grandchildren and your neighbors and your husband and
your wife and your brothers and your sisters and you take them
by the hand and you say, come on boy, let me show you how to
go to hell. Injuring everybody you touch
by your ungodliness. Injuring everybody you touch
by your willful disobedience and having pleasure in it. Oh,
May God stop you in your mad rush to hell and save you by
his grace. May he not give you up. And for
you, for whom God has been gracious, such were some of you, but you're
washed But you sanctified, but you justified by the blood of
the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God. So give him praise. Amen.
