Okay, Psalm 21. Psalm 21. This psalm, I like what Robert
Hawker said about this psalm, and I've come to the conclusion
that this is true of every psalm. This is a gospel psalm. The old
writers, Gill and some of those others, Matthew, Henry, talk
about certain psalms being a Messianic psalm. All the Psalms are about
Christ. All the Psalms are about the
Gospel. So we can rightly say that this is a Gospel Psalm.
This is not Psalm 23, but Psalm 150, all the way back to Psalm
1 when it talks about the blessed man in Psalm 1. That's Christ.
That's the Lord Jesus Christ. And here it says in Psalm 21,
verse 1, the King shall joy. in thy strength, O Jehovah, and
in thy salvation, how greatly shall the King rejoice. This psalm is all about the King
of Kings, the Lord Jesus Christ and His glory. For His glory
is great in accomplishing our salvation. For salvation is called
in Scripture so great, Hebrews 2. Verse 3, so great salvation. Our risen Lord said in Luke 24,
all things must be fulfilled which are written in the law
of Moses and in the prophets and in the Psalms. Concerning
me, he said, concerning Christ. So we can rightly say this is
a gospel psalm. It's all about Christ. Then it
says in Luke 24, then he opened their understanding that they
might see him. Oh, that the Lord be pleased
to open our understanding this evening and to show us one more
time the beauty and glory and the necessity of our blessed
Redeemer, the Lord Jesus. Now the title of the message
this evening is taken from verse 5. From verse 5, if we just get
a hold of this one phrase right here. His glory is great in God's
salvation. His glory. His glory is great
in salvation. The grand design of God's redemption,
Jonathan Edwards said years ago. The grand design of God's redemption
is the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. It's all about His glory.
His redemptive glory. His glory alone. Now, verse 1, the King, the King,
here's a prophecy of our Savior's joy as a result of salvation
that He would accomplish for His covenant people as the God-man
mediator. Make no mistake, the Lord Jesus
Christ operates for us and represents us as the federal head and king
of those people for whom he represents. We studied in Psalm 2 where God
said, I've set my king upon my holy hill, Zion. God has exalted
him, highly exalted him, and at his name, God giving him a
name above every name, and at his name every name will bow.
Every tongue will confess that He is King, that He is Lord to
the glory of God the Father. God has made Him both King, Lord,
and Christ, and He is the King Priest. He is the king priest. Pilate asked that day when the
Lord stood before him having been arrested, do you remember?
How he was so mistreated by the soldiers, by the Pharisees, and
by everyone, and finally he was arraigned before Pilate, and
Pilate looked him right in the eye and said, Are you the king? And our Lord answered back, to
this end was I born, for this cause came I unto the world,
that I should bear witness unto the truth. Everyone that is of
the truth hears my voice." Yes, He is King. When He was manifested
in the flesh, God Almighty in the flesh, He never stopped being
God of all the earth, He never stopped being the King. You remember seeking the Messiah,
seeking the Savior? And they asked, where is he that
is not, will be king one day? They said, where is he that's
born king? He was king when he got here.
He's always been king. He is king by God's eternal,
immutable decree. He's not Lord by something we
do. We don't make him Lord. We simply, by God's grace, bow
to his Lordship, acknowledge his Lordship, and worship him
as the Lord. God said over here in the book
of Hebrews, don't turn, let me just get it for you so I can
quote it accurately if I can find it. The Son saith, but unto
the Son he saith, thy throne, O God, is forever and ever. Let
all the angels of God worship him because he is God. Unto the Son, he saith, thy throne,
O God, is for ever and ever. A scepter of righteousness is
a scepter of thy kingdom." He loved righteousness and hated
iniquity. He is king, not by something
we do, not by some silly religious emotional experience. Make Jesus
your Lord. That's nonsense. God has made
him both Lord and Christ. He's not Lord by some religious
outfit, writing a book and saying that he's king. God decreed from
all eternity that this one who came and died for his covenant
people, he is king. He lived as king upon the earth. He lived as king upon the earth.
when that ship was going down that day and the Lord Jesus was
resting as the man, Mediator, and the disciples were scurrying
about the deck of the ship and saying, Master, aren't you concerned? The ship is sinking. And don't
you, aren't you concerned about us? And he said, wind, stop. And the sea, stop. And they said,
what manner of man is this that even the wind and the sea obey
his voice? He lived as king. He raised the
dead. Lazarus come forth. He made blind
men to see. He made the deaf to hear. Sinners were forgiven their sin,
that you may know that the Son of Man hath power on earth to
forgive sin. He said to that impotent man,
take up your bed and walk. And he did, leaping and praising
God Almighty. Yes, he lived as king. He is
king. Not only that, but he died as
king. You see, it's who he is that gives the infinite and eternal
merit to what he did. God bought the church with his
own blood. He died as king. Pilate fixed
the sign. and put it over his cross, the
accusation of what he was accused. And he wrote in the Greek and
the Latin and the Hebrew, this is the king of the Jews. And
the Pharisees got upset and said, don't write that he is the king,
write that he said he was the king. And Pilate said, what I've
written, I've written, he is the king. He died as king. to purchase his church with his
own blood. He bought us. He bought us with
his own blood. And my friend, he will receive
what he bought. He will take home what he bought.
You don't go to Walmart and spend $200 on groceries and leave them
there, do you? No, what you go into the store
and buy, you intend to take home. And the Lord of glory, when he
bought his church with his own blood, it's his full intention
to take his bride home. And he said, not one, not one
will be missing, not one. All that Father had given to
me, I'll raise them up at the last day. There won't be one
vacant seat in glory. Every seat will be filled. As the man Christ Jesus, now
here's what we're considering. As the man Christ Jesus, he looked
unto the Father, Jehovah, for strength to accomplish the work
the Father had given him to do. He had a mighty work to do. And
this was on his mind from a very young child. Remember when Joseph
and Mary went to Jerusalem for a certain occasion, and they
left, and the Lord Jesus was staying in the temple and confounding
those religious scholars, and they came back. And you remember
what? They came back to fetch Him.
You remember what the Lord said to them? Don't you know that
I must be about my Father's business, even at a very young age. I don't
know his age, but very young, teenage years, maybe younger
than that. He was always mindful of doing the Father's business
in accomplishing our salvation, working out for us a perfect
righteousness for His covenant people. And he did so. He said, my meat is to do the
will of Him that sent me in to finish His work. Finally, in
John 17, he prayed, Father, I've finished the work You gave me
to do. I've glorified Thee on the earth.
I've finished that covenant work that You gave unto me. And now
he said, In thy salvation how greatly shall I rejoice. Jehovah planned this salvation
from all eternity. God the Father planned this salvation. The Lord Jesus Christ in time
and the fullness of the time, God sent forth his Son made of
a woman. made under the law to work out
and accomplish God's purpose in saving His people. And God
the Father owned it and crowned it and said, this is well, this
is my beloved Son in whom I'm well pleased. Therefore it is
His salvation to give whom to whom He will. Not of him that
willeth, nor of him that runneth, but it's God that would show
mercy unto his covenant children. Don't turn, let me just get this
for you. You know it well in Hebrews chapter 12, it says there
in our text. How greatly shall He rejoice? He rejoiced. Now, the Lord Jesus
Christ as the man, as the God-man, oh, I tell you, He delighted
to do the will of His Father. So much so that He says over
here, it says over here in Hebrews 12, looking unto Jesus, the author
and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before
Him, the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising
the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne
of God. He's the victorious king. He's
not a defeated, frustrated reformer. He's not Jesus Christ the superstar
that doesn't know why he came and what he's doing and where
he's going. No, he's the victorious king, king, of salvation. He's king in salvation. The risen Lord Jesus Christ greatly
rejoices in what he accomplished. Complete salvation. Complete
salvation. He did say it is done. It's finished. Salvation is not
Salvation is not God has done all He can do and the rest is
up to you. Salvation is not mission aborted. Salvation is not mission
failed. Salvation is mission accomplished. Accomplished. He accomplished
salvation with His own blood. Oh, I tell you, I love to talk
about the victorious Lord Jesus Christ. I love to talk about
His atonement, how it puts away all the sin of God's covenant
people so completely, so throughly, so thoroughly that God Almighty
said, their sin and their iniquity will I remember no more. They're
gone. As far as the east, it's from
the west. I've separated your sin from
you. How is that possible? Through
the blood atonement of the Lord Jesus Christ. There's nothing
weak or anemic about his atonement. His blood atonement is a powerful
atonement. So much so that it put away all
the sin by the one offering. He perfected forever them who
were sanctified by that one offering. Now, look at verse 2. Thou hast
given him, God Almighty has given him his heart's desire. You see,
their heart and their desire is one fold. They both have the
same thing in mind and they both have one objective, the glory
of God in saving sinners. Thou hast given him his heart's
desire, hast not withholden the request of his lips. What was our Savior's heart's
desire? Well, let's turn over here and
read about it in Psalm 40. We can get that one pretty close,
Psalm 40. And then said I, Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire,
verse 6, Psalm 40, Mine ears hast thou opened, burnt offering
and sin offering hast thou not required? The blood of bulls
and goats cannot take away sin. Then said I, Lo, I come, this
is the king. Lo, I come in the volume of the
book, it's written of me, all the way back to Genesis chapter
3, the seed of the woman. Lo, I come in the volume of the
book, I delight to do thy will, O my God, yea, thy law is within
my heart. Now if you'd like to, find this
one, John chapter 6, but if not, just sit still and I'll read
it for you. But John chapter 6, talking about
the will of God in redemption, he said, I delight to do thy
will. He prayed in the garden, Father,
thy will be done. His heart's desire was the salvation
of his people. His people that were given to
Him in the covenant of grace. He says in John 6 verse 37, All
that the Father giveth me shall come to me, and him that cometh
to me I will in no wise cast out. For I came down from heaven
not to do my own will, but the will of Him that sent me. And
this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that all which
He hath given me I'll lose nothing, but raise it up again at the
last day. This is the will of Him that sent me, that everyone
would seeth the Son, and believeth on Him." And if you see the Son,
you'll believe on Him. I'll raise him up at the last
day. Now don't turn, let me just get
this one for you. I believe this is talking about
here in verse 38, for I came down from heaven, not to do my
own will, but the will of him that sent me. Jot in there as
a reference Hebrews 10, 10. And it says in Hebrews 10, 10,
by the which will we are sanctified, he taketh away the first that
he may establish the second, that eternal covenant of grace
by the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body
of Jesus Christ once forever. Forever. Oh, I tell you, he delighted
to do the will of God Almighty and God has given him his heart's
desire. and hath not withholden the request
of his lips. Here's another interesting scripture. Turn over here to Psalm 2 verse
8. Psalm 2 verse 8. Ask of me, and I shall give thee
the heathen for thine inheritance. and the uttermost parts of the
earth for thy possession." You just ask me. Here's the son asking,
or the father saying of the son, you just ask what you will, son,
and it's yours. All mine are thine. Thine are
mine. Oh, we're one with him. There's
a scripture over in John 17. where it says over there in John
17 about his prayer for his people. And I think about this each time
a believer dies. He says, Father, I pray that
those you had given me be with me where I am, that they may
behold my glory. And that's what happens every
time a believer graduates. That's what death is, it's a
graduation. Death to the believer is not punishment, it's promotion.
It's promotion to be absent from the body, to be present with
the Lord. One day we're going to graduate from this old rotten
body of flesh, this old wretched man that we drag around with
us each day that holds us back and weighs us down and is such
a battle to do with this old sin nature, but one day we'll
be done with it. One day we'll be rid of it. And
one day we'll worship Him like we ought to, like we should,
like we will one day. Look at verse 3. He ever lives
to intercede for us. Verse 3, now this is an interesting
verse. For thou, thou, for thou preceded
him, thou preventest him, but the word, better word is preceding.
Thou preceded him with blessings of goodness, Thou, God, settest
a crown of pure gold on his head. He's crowned victorious. He's
crowned the conquering as the conquering victorious king. Now
here the word prevent means precede or go before. Now here's what
we're looking at here. Before the coming of the Lord
Jesus Christ in the flesh to actually accomplish salvation,
the Father purposed, decreed, and preceded His coming with
blessings of goodness. God sent messenger after messenger
throughout the Old Testament. telling of the goodness of God's
mercy to sinners in the Lord Jesus Christ. Moses said, one
day, Lord, show me your glory. And God said, I will have mercy
on whom I will have mercy to him. Give all the prophets witness. The forerunner of the Lord Jesus,
John the Baptist, said, Behold the Lamb of God that takes away
the sin of God's elect in this world. God has preceded the coming
of the Lord Jesus Christ with blessings upon blessings of His
goodness and His mercy that follow His people all the days of their
life. And thou hast set a crown of
pure gold upon His head. God provided the Savior before
the fall. Preceded with blessing. God before
Adam sinned against God. The Lord Jesus Christ stood as
that mediator. That mediator and surety of that
covenant of grace. From all eternities the Lamb
slain before the foundation of the world in the decree and the
purpose of God Almighty. It was already done. He said,
I've spoken it. I'll bring it to pass. I've purposed
it. He has spoken it and it will
come to pass. The sacrifice of Christ, now
listen to this, the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ was
not the cause of God loving us, He loved His own with an everlasting
love. His sacrifice was the result
of that eternal covenant mercy in Christ Jesus, whereby He had
chosen us and loved us and had given Himself for us. We read
in Ephesians chapter 5, He loved the church and gave Himself Now,
listen to this. His sacrifice was a result of
that eternal love. His choice of His people preceded
our believing Him, and the reason we do believe is because He has
chosen us in that covenant of grace. You see, these blessings
have preceded our coming to know Him. His choice of us was from
all eternity, and it preceded our believing Him. We believe
Him according to the working of His mighty power. His calling
preceded our calling. upon Him for salvation, He called
us first. Our love to Him is a result of
His love to us, His love to us. We love Him because He first
loved us, that's why we love Him. The old grace theologians This is the first time I ran
into this term when I first studied this psalm back 20 some years
ago. The old grace theologians called,
had this term and it's taken from this verse here, you read
some of them, verse 3. And they had the term, provenient
grace. pervenient grace, and look up
the word pervenient, it means preceding or going before. And
what he's talking about here and what they meant by saying
that was grace preceding grace, that is before grace is experienced
in our heart, God from all eternity purposed to show grace and mercy
unto his people, and in time we experience what God purposed
from all eternity, grace that goes before and prepares the
way for saving grace. Now I think of this in my life
and in my experience. All through my life, in my childhood
where I grew up, and in the false religion that I was indoctrinated
with, all the time God's mercy was hedging me about, and God's
grace was bringing me to the place where I would hear the
true gospel, and where God the Holy Spirit would send that message
in power to my heart, and quicken me, and make me to realize that
the Lord Jesus Christ is just not something in salvation, but
everything. and give me faith in Him and
love to the Lord Jesus Christ. Aren't you glad for pervenient
grace? Grace which runs before, grace
which preserves us until we come to actually in our own experience
and heart know Him for He has known us from all eternity. He knows His sheep by name and
one day He calls them out. And they follow Him. They follow
Him. And then it says in the last
part of verse 3, crown made of thorns and crushed
it down on his precious brow. And then they said, a king ought
to have a scepter. And they got a reed and mocked him. A king
ought to have a purple robe. And they put a purple robe on
him. And they bowed the knee and they mocked him in his kingship.
But my friend, the Lord Jesus Christ now wears a crown of pure
gold. He is the victor. He is the king
of all. Jehovah has set upon him, his
head, an everlasting, precious, indescribable, glorious crown. He is Lord and Christ. He is God's victorious Savior,
God's victorious Savior. Jehovah hath crowned Him with
all honor, blessings, and glory. God put a pure crown of gold
on His head. His crown represents His holy
nature. His imperial power, His deserved
honor, His glorious conquest, His divine government, it's upon
His shoulders. That's the word I want. A child
is born, a son is given, and the government is upon His shoulders.
His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the
Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. This is the one who
is crowned with all honor and glory. His dominion is an everlasting
dominion. His dominion has far-reaching
power. Turn over here to Psalm 72. Psalm 72. There's another gospel
Psalm, Psalm 72. You can look it over sometime.
Look, verse 6, He shall come down like rain upon the mown
grass, as showers that water the earth. In His days shall
righteousness flourish and abundance of peace so long as the moon
endureth. He shall have, verse 8, Psalm
72, He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the river
unto the ends of the earth. You remember in Matthew 28? The
last word the Lord spoke to those disciples, the ascended, or as
before he ascends to glory, he said, all power is given to me
in heaven and earth. All power is given to me in heaven
and earth. Go ye therefore and preach the gospel knowing who's
in charge. We go with confidence that our
God will bless His message and call out His people. He's crowned
with all honor and glory. When He by Himself purged our
sin, He sat down. It says over and over again throughout
the book of Hebrews and other places, on the right hand of
the throne of God. Now that's a place of preeminence,
a place of power, a place of honor, a place of glory, crowned
with glory. Look at verse 4, Psalm 21, he
asked life of thee and thou gavest it him, even length of days forever
and ever. Here I think he's talking about
his resurrection glory. Our Lord said, I am the resurrection
and the life. You remember back in Psalm 16?
Look at verse 9 of Psalm 16. Therefore my heart is glad, my
flesh and my glory rejoices. My heart is glad and my soul
rejoices. My flesh also shall rest in hope,
for thou wilt not leave my soul in the grave, neither wilt thou
suffer thy holy one to see corruption. Thou shalt show me the path of
life. In thy presence is fullness of
joy. At thy right hand are pleasures for evermore. He asked life of
thee. When he by himself purged our
sin, he sat down, I quoted that a moment ago, but it's a quote
worth re-quoting. But here's what I'm getting at,
trying to get at it, at Romans 4.25, He was delivered for our
offenses and raised again because He justified us. How do we know
His offering was accepted of God? How do we know His offering
was sufficient and effectual to put away our sin? How do we
know that? God raised Him from the dead.
delivered for our offenses and raised again because he put away
our sin. Thou shalt not suffer thy holy
one to see corruption. Why? Sin was gone. Sin that he
bare in his own body on the tree. He made effectual sufficient
payment for sin and put it away, therefore his body could not
corrupt. Glorified body, a holy body. He asked life of thee. He said,
I'm the resurrection and the life. I am come that they might
have life and have it more abundantly. Our Lord said in John 14, because
I live, you shall live also. He said again in Revelation 118,
I'm he that liveth and was dead, behold, I'm alive forevermore.
And I have the keys. I have the keys of hell and death. I have a key here to a truck
out there. You know why I have it in my pocket? It's mine. I'm
going to get in, start it, and drive it home in a minute. It's
mine. It's given to me. The Lord Jesus Christ has the
keys of hell and death. They're His. He bought the crown
rights to our soul, and He will have mercy on whom He will have
mercy. He owns salvation. He's king
of salvation, and He'll give it to whom He will. He has life
of thee, and thou gavest it Him forever and ever. Now look at verse 5. Verse 5. Now here's the sum of
this all up, and here's the bottom line. Who gets the glory? Who gets the glory? His glory
is great in salvation. God has laid on Him honor and
majesty. He laid on Him our sin. And he
put away our sin by the sacrifice of himself. God had laid on him
honor and majesty. His glory is great in salvation. The glory of God is concerned
in the death of the Lord Jesus Christ and his glorious resurrection. The glory of God is is concerned
in the completion of our salvation by the death of the Lord Jesus
Christ, the glory of His justice being satisfied by the death
of the Lord Jesus Christ. His glory is great in salvation. You remember over in Ephesians
chapter 1, when it talks about the work of the Father, the work
of the Son, the redeeming work of the Son, the Father choosing,
the Son redeeming, the Holy Spirit calling. You remember it's repeated
three times, to the praise of the glory of His grace. His glory
is great in salvation, in every aspect of salvation. He's the
Alpha and He's the Omega of it. In eternal election, who gets
the glory? He does. And in eternal glorification,
who gets the glory? He does. do unto him. Worthy is the Lamb
that was slain, to receive all honor, glory, and blessing, both
now and forever. Worthy is the Lamb. Now here's
the bottom line. His glory is great in salvation.
Who is deserving of all honor and glory? But of him are you
in Christ Jesus, who of God has made unto us wisdom, righteousness,
sanctification, and redemption, that according as it is written,
he that would glory, let him glory only in the Lord. And then
Paul comes along in Galatians chapter 6 and says, God forbid,
that we should glory, save in the Lord Jesus Christ, in Him
crucified. The grand design in redemption
is the glory of God. In creation, who gets all the
glory? Created all things by the word of His power. In providence,
who gets the glory? All things work together for
good to them who love God, who are called according to His purpose.
Who gets the glory in creation? He does. Who gets the glory in
providence? All things are of God. It says
that in Romans 11, 36. Of Him, and through Him, and
to Him are all things. And then you know what it says?
To Him be the glory, both now and forever. And then it says,
Amen. and in salvation who gets the
glory. Now if he gets the glory in creation
and providence, you know he gets the glory in salvation. It's
all of him. Nothing related to salvation
is of man. Nothing of salvation is of man. This is a universal testimony
of Scripture that in salvation, salvation is of the Lord. Salvation
is of the Lord from election to glorification. All praise
and honor unto Him alone. Salvation is always determined,
dependent, and accomplished by the Lord alone to Him be the
glory." You see what he's saying there? You could preach for a
long time on that verse about His glory. His glory is great. Honor and majesty, oh, all honor
and majesty been laid upon him. Verse 6, thou hast made him,
the Lord Jesus, most blessed forever. You know this is not
talking about King David. I mean, there may be some faint
references here to King David, but this is about the greater
David. The Lord Jesus Christ. For thou has made him blessed
forever. Blessed forever. His reign is
an eternal reign. His kingdom is an everlasting
kingdom. Thou has made him most blessed
forever. Thou has made him exceeding glad. The Father has set or decreed
that the Lord Jesus Christ is blessed forever and is a blessing
to His people forever. Every blessing God has for His
people is given upon the merit and righteousness of the Lord
Jesus Christ, upon not my faithfulness, upon His faithfulness. The apostle
put it that way in Philippians 3. Oh, that we might win Christ
and be found in Him, not having our own righteousness, which
is of the law, but that which is through the faithfulness of
the Lord Jesus Christ. It's upon His faithfulness, upon
His righteousness, that we enter into glory. We're going to see
that in Psalm 24. You stick around, we're going
to see the king enter in, the glory, but he enters in as the
Lord of hosts, as the Lord of his people, and we enter in in
him, upon his merit, upon his righteousness, in his blood,
with his name. He's the forerunner who enters
in for us. Verse 7, the king. The King, the Lord Jesus, the
King, the King of Kings, the God-man, trusteth in the Lord,
and through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved.
The Lord Jesus Christ went about his mediatorial work with unwavering
confidence, oh, unwavering confidence in his Heavenly Father. The Father
enabled him to accomplish all he purposed to do, if you'd like
to read that purpose for him to do. If you'd like to read
that with me in Psalm 50, you can turn there. If not, just
jot it down and find the reference later in Isaiah 50 verse 7. For the Lord God will help me,
therefore shall I not be confounded, therefore have I set my face
like a flint, Isaiah 50. I know that I shall not be ashamed.
He is near that justifies me. Who will contend with me? Let
us stand together. Who is my adversary? Let him
come near. God has laid help upon one. that
is mighty. He was not moved from his purpose
by his friend or his foe, even when Peter said, don't go to
Jerusalem and die. Remember the Lord said, I must
go, I must die, I must be betrayed, I must be crucified, I must be
raised again. And Peter said, hold it now,
wait a minute, don't go that far. Remember what the Lord said,
get out of my way. And then he said, get out of
my way, Satan, for you don't savor the things that be of God. The cross of the Lord Jesus Christ
is no afterthought of God. The cross of the Lord Jesus Christ
was ordained from all eternity. Him being delivered by the determinate
counsel and foreknowledge of God. They did what God only determined
before to be done, it says in Acts chapter 4. He was not moved
from his purpose by his friend or his foes when they came to
arrest him. And he said, whom do you seek? And they said, Jesus
of Nazareth. He said, here I am boys. Here
I am. He was not moved from him. His
face was set like a flint. They could not move him from
his purpose to die for his bride and to purchase her with his
blood. No one could turn him from his
purpose to establish righteousness and everlasting righteousness
or to put away the sin of his covenant people. May our Lord
grant us this confidence and trust. in our Lord Jesus Christ. May we not be moved from the
gospel of God's saving sovereign free grace in Christ Jesus. Turn to Psalm 62 and I'll be
done. I shall not be moved. May God
give us grace that we may not be moved Psalm 62, my soul, verse 5, wait
thou only upon God for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock,
my salvation, he's my defense. I'm not going to be moved. And
God is my salvation, my glory. The rock of my strength and my
refuge is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you
people. Pour out your heart before Him. God is a refuge for us. You see, to move the believer,
you've got to move the rock. And this rock is Christ. I'll build my church, our Lord
said, at the gates of hell upon this rock, Christ, this foundation,
the foundation that God had laid. I'll build my church and the
gates of hell will not prevail against my church. I built it. It's his. He purchased it. And
his church will prevail.
