Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. - Hebrews 9:12

The ceremonial law was merely a shadow or representation of better and good things to come to the people of God. All of these spiritual blessings— redemption, adoption, acceptance, forgiveness, inheritance and much more— were to come to us through the accomplished work of our true representative and substitute, the Lord Jesus Christ. Having appeared, being sent of God, he put away his people’s sin by the sacrifice of himself. Therefore, by his own blood he obtained eternal redemption for us. This he accomplished by himself. This work was his own. All those that are redeemed by his blood are redeemed—He shall not fail nor be discouraged (Is 42:4). All for whom Christ died shall be saved. Any other message is false and blasphemous, and robs Christ of his glory.
