Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin. - James 4:17
The need to gratify the desires of the flesh and mind, willingly carrying out those desires in the face of revealed admonitions and rebukes from God, without remorse and repentance, is an evidence of slavery to sin, rebellion against God, and the absence of spiritual life. Self-justification and lame excuses attended with prideful continuance in love for self and the world reveals a Godless self-centered life, in bondage to self. Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin (Jas 4:17).
