He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. - 1 John 5:12
To excel in health, wealth, and wisdom is to be successful in this world, according to the measure of men. Men measure men by what they possess, by their physical condition, and how smart they are. This is what men seek after; The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life. This humanistic philosophy is very deceptive. This is not the essence of life. I admit it would be great to be in perfect health, to have no want for any thing material, and to excel in intelligence. But this is not where life resides. The essence, heart and soul of real, true, life, in this world, and in all others, physical and spiritual, is in Christ Jesus our Lord—In knowing Him, being in Him, him being in us. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life (1 Jn 5:12). The healthiest, wealthiest, most intelligent person that ever lived is dead, bankrupt, and totally insane if Christ be not his all. The world seeks after the world. The living seek after Christ, who is their life. Are we healthy, wealthy, and wise? If we have Christ, we are!!!
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord I Cor. 1: 30-31.
