All This Noise Online

The Zealot's Quest
Words Can Draw a Line

Lyrics

[Verse 1]
Typing on my screen on a Friday night,
Distressed by the online fight,
Of sovereign grace and doctrinal right,
Of arguments that steal joy and light.

[Verse 2]
Shunned again, for having an independent will,
Slandered and discussed behind my back, a bitter pill,
All enabled by that perilous site, Fakebook,
A breeding ground for arguments, not a friendly nook.

[Verse 3]
“Right” doctrine vs. “false” doctrine,
Intolerants vs. tolerants, a never-ending rhythm,
A display of self-righteousness, no love to show,
Pharisees disguised as defenders, a dangerous flow.

[Chorus]
All this noise online, everybody wants to attack,
Losing love in the battle while the truth falls back.
I stay grounded in grace, let the Word be the track,
They can argue all day, but the Spirit won’t lack.

[Verse 4]
Their “rightness” mistaken for grace,
An angry and self-important spirit, a misplaced race,
They don’t know our Lord, their theology wrong,
A lack of understanding of the “grace” they bong.

[Verse 5]
Pride leads to arguments, a sad display,
Keeping them from the true church, far away,
Complaining of being “sheep without a home”,
But refusing to join a church with “people like that” to roam.

[Verse 6]
I’d rather be with SINNERS who know,
Salvation is ONLY in Christ, not in a show,
Of gospel defense and rightness that’s mistaken,
For grace that’s given freely, not something to be taken.

[Chorus]
All this noise online, everybody wants to attack,
Losing love in the battle while the truth falls back.
I stay grounded in grace, let the Word be the track,
They can argue all day, but the Spirit won’t lack.

[Verse 7]
God’s people come together to worship and support,
To love and to bury, in His love they cavort,
No arguments of who’s saved or who’s not,
Just sinners saved by grace, in His love He caught.

[Verse 8]
Some folks think winning debates is the call,
Swinging Scripture like a hammer, building walls tall.
But truth without love is a clanging sound,
A noisy gong where no grace is found.

[Verse 9]
Screens turn strangers into foes overnight,
Brothers treating brothers like they’re ready to fight.
But Christ said the world will know us by love-
Not by how many arguments we rise above.

[Verse 10]
I’ve seen wounded saints limp off the field,
Not from sin, but from “warriors” refusing to yield.
And the saddest thing is they think it’s for Him-
But the light they dim keeps growing more dim.

[Verse 11]
So I choose peace, let the storms pass by,
Trusting the Lord who hears every sigh.
While others chase clout in a digital spree,
I’ll rest in the grace that first rescued me.

[Chorus]
All this noise online, everybody wants to attack,
Losing love in the battle while the truth falls back.
I stay grounded in grace, let the Word be the track,
They can argue all day, but the Spirit won’t lack.

[Verse 12]
Some chase “discernment” like a badge to display,
Calling everyone heretics from miles away.
But a heart without mercy is a heart off track-
Grace ain’t a weapon, so quit aiming it back.

[Verse 13]
The louder they shout, the less truth gets through,
’Cause pride blocks the very thing they claim to pursue.
But the Shepherd leads soft, with a voice so mild-
Not the roar of a tyrant, but the care of a Child.

[Verse 14]
So I’ll log off the noise, let the Spirit speak,
No clout-chasing nonsense or “debate of the week.”
I’ll walk with the saints who know they’re weak-
’Cause Christ lifts the humble and guards His meek.

[Chorus]
All this noise online, everybody wants to attack,
Losing love in the battle while the truth falls back.
I stay grounded in grace, let the Word be the track,
They can argue all day, but the Spirit won’t lack.

[Chorus]
All this noise online, everybody wants to attack,
Losing love in the battle while the truth falls back.
I stay grounded in grace, let the Word be the track,
They can argue all day, but the Spirit won’t lack.
