How are we made children of God?

Answered in 1 source

We are made children of God through God's sovereign grace and the work of Jesus Christ.

According to Ephesians 1:5, we have been predestined to adoption as children by Jesus Christ to Himself. This means that our status as children of God is not of our own doing, but is a result of God's choice and action in our lives. We do not become children of God through works or personal merit, but by grace alone, through faith in Christ. As we trust in Him, we are granted new life and identity as His children, ensuring that we receive all the spiritual blessings that come with our new status in His family.
