How can Christians be assured of their faith?

Answered in 2 sources

Christians can be assured of their faith by trusting in Christ's ability to keep them and by committing their lives to Him.

Assurance of faith comes from a firm belief in Christ's promises and His inherent ability to fulfill them. In 2 Timothy 1:12, Paul expresses confidence that Christ is able to keep what has been committed to Him. This commitment involves not just a one-time decision but a lifelong surrender of our lives and trust in Him. Romans 4 illustrates how strong faith is often tested but ultimately finds assurance in the power of God. When we place our trust in Christ, rooted in an understanding of His character and His work, we can rest assured in our salvation and the preservation of our faith, knowing that He will never abandon us.
