How can Christians respond to spiritual neglect in the world?

Answered in 1 source

Christians are called to recognize the spiritual need around them and respond with compassion and a commitment to prayer.

In Matthew 9:27-38, Jesus’ compassion for the multitudes leads to a call for His followers to also feel concern for the spiritual state of the world. Jesus viewed the people as scattered sheep without a shepherd, prompting a deep sense of pity. For Christians today, this serves as a challenge to reflect on our feelings towards the unconverted and neglected souls surrounding us. Are we moved with compassion for those who do not know Christ? In addition, we are reminded of our duty to pray for more laborers in the harvest field, recognizing that prayer is foundational to any successful outreach to those in spiritual need. This sincere concern and proactive prayer may serve to awaken others to the truth of the Gospel.
