How can we know that believers are truly saved?

Answered in 1 source

True salvation results in a transformed life and assurance of eternal life through Christ.

When God saves a person, they are genuinely saved, meaning their sins are forgiven and they are justified before God (Romans 5:1). This salvation is accomplished entirely through Christ's work, and believers are granted the Holy Spirit, who brings about new life (2 Corinthians 5:17). Thus, true believers exhibit a change in their desires and actions, enabling them to persevere in faith. The assurance of their salvation rests in the completed work of Christ and the faithfulness of God who sustains them, guaranteeing that they will remain secure in His grace.
