How do we know Christ's love is unconditional?

Answered in 4 sources

Christ's love is demonstrated through His willingness to wash His disciples' feet and ultimately sacrifice Himself for unworthy sinners.

The unconditional nature of Christ's love is exemplified in John 13:1 when it states, 'having loved His own which were in the world, He loved them unto the end.' This love is not based on any merit or worthiness on our part; instead, it is a miraculous love that pursues us even when we are unresponsive to Him. The act of washing His disciples' feet, particularly when one of them was Judas Iscariot, who would betray Him, highlights that Christ's love does not waver based on our actions. He came to serve and save those who could not save themselves, reinforcing the doctrine of grace—that it is God’s unmerited favor that is freely given to undeserving sinners.
