How do we know Christ's righteousness is sufficient?

Answered in 12 sources

Christ's righteousness is fully sufficient because He is the only being without sin and His sacrifice covers all sin for His elect.

The sufficiency of Christ's righteousness is rooted in His unique identity as the sinless Son of God. Tempted in every way like us yet without sin (Hebrews 4:15), He fulfills the perfect standard of righteousness required by God. His role as Redeemer means that, through His blood, He provides total atonement for His people (Romans 5:9). Accepting any form of partial obedience would undermine the necessity of His perfect sacrifice. Thus, His righteousness becomes the only means by which believers can stand justified before God, highlighting His exclusivity in salvation (John 14:6).
