How do we know God exists?

Answered in 19 sources

God's existence is revealed through creation, the conscience of humanity, and His Word, confirming that He is not far from anyone.

The Bible teaches that God's existence is evident in creation and through the innate understanding of humanity. Paul, in his address in Acts 17, emphasizes that God is not distant, stating that 'in Him we live and move and have our being' (Acts 17:28). This assertion indicates that every person, regardless of their background, senses a connection to a higher power. The natural order of creation reflects God's divine attributes, making it clear that He exists and is actively involved in the world. Furthermore, the conscience that each person bears serves as a testimony of God's moral law, leading individuals to seek Him. Ultimately, through scripture and the gospel of Jesus Christ, the fullness of God's nature and purpose is revealed to humanity.
