How do we know God gives us joy?

Answered in 2 sources

We know God gives us joy through His promises and the testimony of believers experiencing His grace.

God's provision of joy is intricately connected to His promises and the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. In John 15:11, Jesus says that His joy may remain in us and that our joy might be full. This fullness stems from an intimate relationship with Christ, where obedience and love towards one another reflect the joy we receive. Furthermore, Romans 14:17 tells us that the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit, underscoring the necessity of the Spirit's work for authentic joy to flourish in the believer's life.
