How do we know God is in control during our trials?

Answered in 5 sources

God's control in our trials is affirmed by Scriptures that teach us about His sovereignty and providence over all situations (Isaiah 46:10).

We can trust that God is in control during our trials by looking to His Word, which asserts His absolute sovereignty over creation. Isaiah 46:10 states, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.' This indicates that God's purposes will prevail regardless of our circumstances. Moreover, passages such as Job 2:10 remind us that even in suffering, we must accept both good and adversity as coming from the Lord. These affirmations reveal that God has a design for our suffering that is ultimately for our good, even when we cannot see it. Therefore, recognizing His hand in our trials encourages us to submit ourselves to Him, affirming our faith in His good and perfect will.
