How do we know God is sovereign in our battles?

Answered in 1 source

The sovereignty of God is demonstrated through His consistent intervention and victory over our enemies as seen in Scripture.

Scripture provides ample evidence of God's sovereignty in the midst of conflict and trials. In Psalm 18, David recounts how the Lord delivered him from powerful enemies, attributing his victories directly to God’s hand. For example, when David states that God caused his enemies to turn their backs, it reflects the notion of divine intervention. Furthermore, the New Testament confirms that Christ has defeated our ultimate enemy, Satan, ensuring our victory through His sacrifice and resurrection. Thus, the consistent theme throughout the Bible is that God's sovereignty reigns in every battle faced by His people, whether spiritual or physical. Believers can find assurance in recognizing that their struggles are not faced alone but rather under the protective and sovereign hand of God, who uses every circumstance for His glory and our good.
