How do we know God is sovereign over sin?

Answered in 2 sources

God's sovereignty over sin is evidenced in His providence, allowing events for His greater purposes, seen in Romans 8:28.

The sovereignty of God encompasses all aspects of life, including sin. While God does not cause anyone to sin, He allows sin to occur within His sovereign plan. This is evident in the story of David, where despite David's grievous sin, God's purposes and grace prevail. As stated in Romans 8:28, all things work together for good for those who love Him, suggesting that even the worst of our actions can be woven into His divine plan. God uses these instances to reveal His mercy, grace, and the need for redemption through Christ.
