How do we know God's elect are saved?

Answered in 5 sources

We recognize God's elect through their response to the gospel, as they believe and trust in Christ, demonstrating the faith God has granted them.

The evidence of being one of God's elect is found in belief in the gospel and obedience to God's Word. Just as Paul noted in 1 Thessalonians, the elect will respond to the preaching of the gospel with faith, indicating their chosen status. It's God's sovereign grace that makes them willing to believe, as reflected in the widow's faith when she obeyed the command to sustain Elijah. Faith that comes from God is always active and responsive, revealing the individual's election and calling through a genuine trust in Christ.
