How do we know God's grace is effectual?

Answered in 3 sources

God's grace is effectual because it not only draws us to Him but actively sustains our faith and leads to salvation.

The concept of effectual grace suggests that God's grace is powerful and purposeful in achieving its intended outcome—salvation. Throughout Scripture, we see examples of grace that not only draws individuals to God but also transforms their hearts. In Ruth's case, her journey from Moab to the house of Boaz illustrates how God's grace guided and preserved her in difficult circumstances. Romans 8:28-30 helps us understand that all things work together for good for those who are called, and this calling is a result of His grace. The continual blessings Ruth experienced serve as evidence of the sufficiency and effectiveness of God's grace in the lives of His people, providing assurance that all who are chosen will ultimately be saved.
