How do we know God's law is for our good?

Answered in 1 source

God's law is given for our good to protect us from harm and lead us to true happiness.

The Scripture clearly indicates that God's law serves a purpose not of oppression but of benevolence. Romans 7:12 states, 'So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.' Deuteronomy 6:24 further explains that God commanded us to follow His statutes 'for our good always.' The law serves as a guide to righteous living, which leads to blessings and protection from the destructive nature of sin, as seen with Dinah's tragic decisions in Genesis 34. God’s commandments direct us towards a life that is fulfilling and joyous, attesting to His loving character.
